When i joined UF I was established with a couple of regular clients, but only abut 20% of what I now have because of UF. With Freelancing you have to have a couple more clients than you need because companies will go through dry spells themselves and you need to be busy all the time. UF has helped keep the work consistent. Even if there are a few late nights when every client is in peak output season! 95% of my new work now comes via UF, and I don't have to do anything to get the work, it just sort of appears in my inbox and away we go. Much like the Majestic Unicorn, this site is truly Magic. I hate cold calling, so this takes that dreaded fear away from my list of TO DO's each day and I am at peace with the Graphic Design world ;P I met one client through Unicorn Factory, and then she left to go work elsewhere but she brought me along with her and now i do most of her organisations work now. Plus we're now good friends, so that was a treat! Unicorn Factory changed my life (I genuinely would have given up freelancing without it a few years back during Covid) because it's almost like a silver bullet to Freelancing. I'm making a really decent wage now, and am insanely flexible with my children's crazy lives too, as a working Mum, it's the perfect solution. It doesn't come without hard work though once you've earned a client, you need to put your heart and soul into each job and the client will respect you for that and keep coming back, which is what creates the bulk of my income - the return U.F client.

Since then I have been their design and development partner - working on multiple projects together. I would recommend Unicorn Factory as a perfect supplementary source of leads. It will offer access to clients that otherwise may never have found out about you.

Getting work! I had joined other freelance platforms but because I only had one client to my name at that point I was being overlooked. Not on Unicorn Factory though! I joined and was immediately able to get work which then meant I had more work examples and then I was off. The quality of leads is so good, all my clients that come through Unicorn Factory are serious and quality leads which makes the pitching and client landing process so much easier. The email introduction feature is great! It gives me an instant in with the client without having to email dead cold.
