Joining the Practice Owners Podcast is honestly one of the best things I've done for my business! The amount of value in the sessions is incredible. There's so much practical advice, ideas and things you can actually take away and implement in your own practice. I actually said to Rach at Accountex that I'd had to stop watching for a bit because there was so much amazing information that I couldn't implement it all quickly enough! But I think what really makes it different is just how relatable Rach is. She's honest, she's been there, she's made the mistakes herself and she's not afraid to share them. She's genuinely helping other practice owners learn from her experiences and hopefully avoid some of those same mistakes along the way. There's no pretending everything is perfect or that running a practice is easy. It's real, honest conversations and advice from someone who actually gets it. It's refreshing, reassuring and genuinely so valuable. I honestly can't recommend it enough to other practice owners.

Having that space every Monday morning just to hear how Rachel and StriveX are working and the details behind are an absolute must in my week now. I can't pick one specific result or win, other than knowing I have these to go back and re-watch as I get to looking at the different parts of my business. I love the reformat for 2026. If you own an accountancy or bookkeeping practice, Rachel's explanations of how things were at the start are so very helpful - even if you've been going a long time and just not at the same level, the 'I was there where you are now' knowledge is invaluable. I absolutely wish I'd started listening earlier, because there is so much to go back and catch up on I don't think I'll get there! FOMO definitely! But also, I'd never paid for a podcast before, and I was hesitant to pay for something I might not use. Needless to say I WILL be renewing 😊

2 weeks into the CIS course and feeling a lot more confident already. Love the podcasts - finding them so helpful, have started reframing my pricing as a result. I have been listening for several months but only just started implementing - that should have happened sooner! I am a sole trader and there really is something for every practice owner in the podcasts.

I find the podcast like a little pep talk before getting stuck into a week/day of work - it's motivating & uplifting when you're nodding along agreeing, but also a stern (but welcome!) reminder of other areas where your practice management needs your attention before your clients do. There have been some one-liners in particular that have hit hard for me that I've written on a scrap of paper beside my desk and when I have one of those "head in my hands, what am I doing with my life" moments, they are very north star reminders to bring me back to focus!

I love listening to the podcast, i always find is so helpful and informative. I've lso subscribed to the MTD course which was brilliant, literally everything you need to know about MTD all in one place :)

I’m in the early stages of setting up my accountancy practice, and Rachel has already shifted how I’m approaching it. Because of this podcast I’m building with KPIs and systems in mind from day one rather than figuring that out later when it’s much harder to change. That’s a real head start. Rachel surfaces things you wouldn’t even think to ask about and as a new practice owner, there’s a lot I didn’t know I didn’t know. She makes the business side of running a practice feel manageable and logical, not overwhelming. It’s like having a very switched-on mentor in your ear. I’m lucky that I found it early enough that it’s actually shaping how I set things up. But I’d say to anyone who hasn’t started yet: don’t wait. The frameworks Rachel shares are so much easier to build in from the beginning than to bolt on later.

*January madness felt controlled for the first time in forever thanks to listening to all the podcasts and implementing all the strategies. *I believe the podcasts are a blueprint for every practice owner. Each episode is as relevant to a sole practitioner as it is to a huge practice or a growing practice. *I started listening to the podcast from the beginning and I have never missed an episode, it is the only podcast I have ever paid for and it is the only podcast I have stuck with. The new implementation sessions are such a bonus too.

I loved the series on KPI's - I always had them when I was employed but they felt kind of made up to me. I am working through all the podcasts in that series and will be setting up my own and forward planning for future scaling. Also having a good look at The Profitability Playbook for when I have finished the CIS course. For me it's a safe space to see how an existing successful firm does things and I think every practice owner can benefit from this insight. I have been listening for a while but not in a very productive way - now I feel ready to put some of the advice into action.

The podcast has been life changing for me in my business. I have moved from firefighting and feeling overwhelmed to having more structure and process. From the insights into billing, return per team member, owner KPI's and onboarding. This podcast covers every element that is needed to help you grow & succeed. Rachel - you are a true inspiration - I love your honest approach and relatable experiences, I now have a regular morning per week which is listening to an episode, I can honestly say since joining the podcast running my own business has gone from feeling heavy and stressful to exciting & structured.

I attended the self-assessment confidence boost course recently and would highly recommend the course. The course shares really useful best practice for someone who works with self assessment clients. It set out the basics to ensure we all had in place strong controls to carry out our work effectively and went right through to complex client issues.
