[NEURO WISE] I enrolled in this course to help me be more prepared for my new job in the neuro ICU. Although I don’t start until December, I have already had some success! I currently work in the neuro step-down unit. I noticed my patient was still on IVP Dilantin after about 5 days with no history of seizures. I remembered the course said you have a potential risk for seizures if your stroke is in the temporal lobe, but his was in the cerebellum. I brought it up to the CRNP that night and she was appalled that he was getting IVP for no good reason due to its harshness on the veins. She changed it to PO and asked me to follow up with the neurologist in the morning to see if he still wants to continue it. It made me feel really smart and like I did something really awesome for my patient! :) I plan to work on the course some more today, thank you so much for this opportunity!

[NURSING REPORT BASICS] This course was very informative. I love it!
[NURSING REPORT BASICS] That was so helpful! I am on day#2 as a new grad on a med-surg floor and I feel like I don't understand anything of what's going on for the pool of patients assigned to my preceptor. I can now see how I can better prepare myself before getting handoff reports with my nurse. I like how you focus on what is crucial. We can so easily get lost into the details. Thank you :)

[NEW NURSE MASTER CLASS] Hi Kati, I thank God that I found you and the help and encouragement you offer. This was truly an answer to prayer for me! I am learning so much in this course so far, and it has been worth every penny. The breathing techniques have been extremely helpful. I am a little over 2 months into my orientation as a new graduate nurse. Due to covid, I literally had only virtual clinicals and no internship. I was hired in a small rural hospital with only 20 beds on the med/surg unit. I was so full of anxiety, and I wanted so desperately to please everyone around me. I LOVE that you start the course talking about the mental aspects. It is so helpful to know that I'm not alone in the feelings and emotions. It is so hard working through those! The lack of clinical experience has made the experience even more challenging, but my 2 preceptors have been so helpful and gracious with me, and my manager has extended my orientation to 4 months. With your course and the help of my preceptors, I have started to really progress. My biggest struggles right now are admitting patients and starting IVs successfully. I am so grateful to you that you have so selflessly shared your own struggles and mistakes to help me and many new nurses. Thank you so much for your kindness! ~ Theresa

[MED-SURG MINDSET] This course does make me feel more prepared for a soon-to-start med surg job because I certainly missed a lot about how hospitals run during clinicals.

[MED-SURG MINDSET] This course fills a gap in the new nurse education market. It’s insider knowledge that I didn’t get from my preceptors. Also, being able to play or listen to areas multiple times was really useful to me. I use as a refresher when I haven’t seen a particular case or dx in awhile.

[MED-SURG MINDSET] I found the course very helpful to my newbie nurse practice especially after losing time in clinical from COVID during school. My orientation was very quick paced and having the time away from patient care to properly digest and review important material was key to developing my confidence and skills. The emotional support and normalizing of how stressful those early months can feel was good for me to have a realistic perspective on where I should be, and to not hold myself to crazy standards. Being able to take that deeper dive and have a better understanding of the types of patients I may care for, and how to organize myself was invaluable. Thank you!

[CARDIAC CONFIDENCE] I am so glad the updated version includes some IV introductions because in school they didn't really teach me much on IV. To have a professional talk me through and explain the whole process so cohesively is so helpful. I continue to go back to the course to review the materials and find it very handy to have all the common cardiac medications, procedures available for me. Thank you for preparing me to become a better nurse!

[CARDIAC CONFIDENCE] In the weeks leading up to my first bedside job, I was very excited, but also nervous about the steep learning curve and how few practice hours on the floor I had gotten in schools. FreshRN kept me feeling excited about this new chapter in my learning and my career, and gave me both the skills that I needed as a trainee and as a new nurse, as well as the confidence that I could and would be able to do the job. I highly recommend!

[CARDIAC CONFIDENCE] This course was amazing for a new grad who is about to be on a cardiac post-intervention unit. You are very encouraging and made me realize that I CAN do this, no matter how many butterflies I have in my stomach. I've had 5.5 months since nursing school so I definitely needed a refresher. There were some typos or things that could have been worded in a way to better understand it. For example, in the sheath section when talking about sizes (Fr), you mentioned sizes for groin access and for arterial access. I just was confused, thinking it meant to explain sizes for venous and for arterial access since the groin could be venous or arterial OR it was talking about groin access and radial access. Just things like this! Thank you Kati for all the work you've put into this.

[CARDIAC CONFIDENCE] Great course! For the visual learners, it would be so helpful to maybe have a few more photos/video links, particularly when discussing equipment such as the Impella and IABP, or pacemakers. Photos of what exactly the RN would have his/her hands on, etc. Otherwise this was perfect - it made certain things that I've unquestioningly done/communicated in report many times "click" and gave me a greater conceptual and big picture understanding. Thanks again.

[CARDIAC CONFIDENCE] This is a great course to reinforce and enhance what you learned in nursing school and prepare you for actual nursing. I'm waiting for my orientation to start so this is helping to give me something to do, make me feel better prepared, and enhance my skills. I really appreciate the spots where the course says "here's when you call the provider." I feel like this may be something I'm not sure when to do as a new nurse.

[CARDIAC CONFIDENCE] I worked as a new grad on a telemetry floor with very limited orientation. This was SO helpful in making me feel confident and knowledgeable as a new grad. I recommend it to my friends who are recent graduates regardless of their speciality since cardiac conditions are seen everywhere.

[ECG RHYTHM MASTER] This course was incredibly informative and the resources are so easy to use and reference again and again. The ONLY reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that I had to stop the videos multiple times and go back because the pace of the presentation was SO fast. It's hard to process such dense information at such a fast pace. But overall, very helpful. Thank you.

[MED-SURG MINDSET & TELEMETRY BASICS] Tomorrow I begin a new position on a MS Tele floor. I have been a nurse for quite a few years, but due to some pretty crazy things I have only worked in a clinic (triage phone nurse, minimal direct patient care) and a year in a county jail (my best job thus far!!) I am lacking in detailed clinical skills that I learned many years ago in nursing school, so in addition to the tele course I am enrolled in the med-surg mindset, and am so thankful for it! This telemetry basics brush-up gives me great ideas of questions to ask my new preceptor, and a beautiful introduction to the world of telemetry that I am walking into. Instead of being overwhelmed by the monitors and questions I will have, I am grateful for a frame of reference and foundational understanding of the reason for their monitors, what kinds of things I will want to keep track of and chart for the purpose of communication with the providers, etc. I am grateful and, if/when I reach my dream of being an ICU nurse (specifically neurocritical care d/t a severe TBI I sustained in 2012!!) I will be enrolling in further courses from Fresh RN! I am so thankful for this resource!

[TELEMETRY BASICS] Loved the course.
[NEW NURSE MASTER CLASS] Everything, literally everything you said, I have felt or are currently feeling and... wow, just wow. You made me feel so validated in a place I thought I was alone. Thank you for relighting the fire inside in a profession like nursing that seems to distinguish it.

[ORTHO STRONG] I have been a nurse for 3 years but will be new to the ortho/trauma unit next week. I wanted to get an idea of what my patient population would look like and relevant nursing considerations, etc. I feel like I got that and more! Loved having the point of view from a seasoned nurse/educator and an advanced practitioner in this specialty. Both perspectives were extremely valuable! And I'm leaving this course feeling less nervous, more prepared, and more excited about starting my new position in ortho/trauma. Thank you so much! I will absolutely purchase more courses from you in the future!

[BREAKTHROUGH ICU] Starting in the ICU was a terrifying step for me. I had always wanted to work in the ICU but the concepts and skills around that were very scary for me. This course helped to soften the blow of the complexity of the ICU environment, helped me learn to be compassionate towards myself and reminded me that it's okay to not know things. I cannot recommend this course enough, not just for new graduates but nurses at all ages and stages moving into the ICU for the first time.

[NEURO WISE] I have just been able to more confidently and accurately explain neuro conditions to patients and family as they experience their stay in the ICU. Being more confident and understanding the complexities of neuro care have enabled me to better care for for my patients. As a new nurse, this course was a game changer for me.

Neuro Wise gave me the information I needed to sound confident in my unit about basic concepts and the courage to ask questions about what I didn't understand! I'm able to communicate more effectively with my neurosurgeons and feel much more equipped to give them the information they are looking for when they round! It's been such a confidence booster for me right off of orientation - I am so thankful for the work you do for all us baby nurses!! It is 150% worth it - I've told every single new grad on my unit about it since I was hired!

When asked how her nurse life has changed or improved, Sarah said, "I don't feel alone," and assures those who are considering membership that, "you'll have a support system."

[HIRED] This has been a great resource. I wish I would have found it sooner while still in nursing school but even going through it during my last semester as I prepared for the NCELX and the field, I still found it to be a well of knowledge. I look forward to all the other products and resources you provide.

[CHARGE NURSE JUMP START] Last week I had to debrief a pt's nurse and tech after a preventable fall. The guidance in the Managing Personalities chapter had given me some preparation for working through the situation with them in a direct, non-confrontational way despite anticipated push back and blame shifting. I feel it was particularly noteworthy because they have very different personalities, especially in response to negative events. Together we were able to come up with several alternate actions that could have been taken to prevent that fall that could be carried forward to other patients.

[BREAKTHROUGH ICU] I've only completed weeks 1 and 2. The concept of a human moment, being real with my co workers, the exercises on report, and the self compassion break concept have been very helpful. The other night I was pulled from orientation one day early and given a 19yo female, detoxing, in DKA, with multiple accesses, constant diarrhea, and a fem line (and my other pt was Covid with a HR of 30-40, refusing a drip and a full code). I would have lost it if I didn't take a moment and acknowledge that I was in a stressful moment and that it was human of me to be there.

[ORTHO STRONG] I really liked that they didn't unnecessarily explain complex surgical terms or surgery details and instead just highlighted the big takeaways and key points that the nurse would need to know. I also really liked how relevant to floor nursing the course was and they mentioned helpful tips for having a successful shift like coordinating with PT/OT about pain medication.

[ORTHO STRONG] Very helpful tool for a new Ortho nurse.
[ORTHO STRONG] It’s worth the investment.
Nursing Skills Refresh is excellent for Nurses new to acute care as well, like myself! Nursing School did not teach us many of these things so it's nice to take these courses. I enjoyed watching the videos which help teach me the clinical skills needed. I liked how you used actual materials like dressings, tape, oxygen masks etc. Great review!

[TELEMETRY BASICS] Thank you for this mini course! I'm a new grad about to start a critical care job and cardiac has always been my nemesis. This course was exactly what I needed to refresh. Just enough info to boost my confidence but not so much that my post-nursing-school brain felt overwhelmed. Thanks, Kati!

Nursing Skills Refresh - worth your time! After a long winter break I realized I was getting nervous about jumping back into clinicals. Although geared for the new nursing student, as a 4th semester student I still found it incredibly helpful. The videos are in nice, manageable chunks, and it's like getting the inside scoop from your big sisters.

[ICU DRIPS FOR BEGINNERS] This course was really great. I am a new grad RN starting my career I neuro ICU. I took this free course to see if these fit my learning style and to see what everything was about. I really enjoyed this and look forward to the next lessons.
