Great to hear that Jam.dev finally launched an iOS app! 🎉 When I first used the Chrome extension, I remember thinking how valuable a mobile version would be — one that could record screens and automatically capture device details, especially since developers often ask for screen resolution and device type. Now it’s a reality! Kudos to the team behind this great product. I’m curious if future updates of the app will bring more features from the extension — like detecting the browser used and capturing relevant logs during a mobile browser session. Looking forward to seeing Android support soon too!

I just received a sweatshirt from the JamDev team in Germany, and the story behind it still cracks me up. A few months ago, I hit a milestone on the numbers of bugs captured and reported using JamDev, a bug reporting tool I’ve genuinely enjoyed — it makes logging bugs efficient and developer-friendly. I’m sharing this because the delivery process was unexpectedly funny. Since last month, I kept getting messages from my local post office about a package. Calls, texts and I ignored them all because I wasn’t expecting anything. Even when someone said it was from Germany, I still replied, “Nope, not expecting anything from there.” Fast forward to today, A guy from the post office showed up at my door. I was ready to send him away because we spoke this morning and he ask if I was home and if I would prefer a delivery I actually told him I am not expecting anything and if he can he should send a picture so I can see what it is and the sender info. Now he is at my door, the package had my name, number, and address — but still, no sender info. I almost refused it. Then I noticed the word “sweatshirt” on the label and it all clicked! Back in February, the Jam.dev team had congratulated me for the number of bugs I had reported and offered to send me a sweatshirt. I completely forgot about it. Well, it finally arrived and I’ve got to say, it feels great to be recognized. Big thanks to the Jam.dev team! 🙌 To all QA folks and product teams — if you’re not using JamDev yet, definitely check it out. Its basic features include an emoji selector, daily/weekly/monthly frequency options, and the ability to select specific days for completion. After using several AI tools like Lovable and Bolt (by StackBlitz) to build similar apps, I noticed a common issue: fixing bugs can be challenging. Often, it leads to going in circles and wasting tokens/messages. To address this, you can check the code or logs to identify the specific issue and suggest fixes to the AI tool. Alternatively, you could use Jam.dev to record the issue and log, then paste it into the AI to fix the issue more accurately. The year was 2021. I was the only product manager on a massive enterprise project. This wasn’t just a feature launch—it was the entire product universe. Organization dashboards. 💻 Wanted to share software tool that's been a game-changer for testing! Jam.dev has been an awesome recording tool when I've had to do UAT testing for new features and functionality. Why not just use Loom? Well Jam also includes console information, metadata, network details, etc. That way our engineers do not have to re-create the error. It can often be inundating with the amount of software directed at startups. However, this was a clear winner as Jam showed value immediately, is simple to use, and made my job easier. Also for my VC friends, they announced their Series A earlier this year. 😉

Back in 2018, I invested in Monzo Bank and Freetrade because I loved them. My investment thesis was simple: if I loved using these products, surely other people would too. So far they are looking like ok investments. So... Fast forward to this year, I’ve met some amazing founders and discovered products that match my thesis. Here are some companies that match my thesis from 2024. Disclaimer: unfortunately I am not an investor in any of these. Attio - I’ve used Salesforce and Hubspot, and honestly, I can’t stand them. Attio is what a CRM should be—clean, simple, and something you actually want to use. Round Treasury - Being an early stage founder you need to wear a lot of hats. The finance hat scares me the most. Round solves a lot of problems with automation, better protection for your money, and tools that make your cash work. Plus, it looks sick. Wispr Flow - I barely type anymore. This has helped me dictate 138,000 words since there launch. It's one of the few tools I use every hour. The Browser Company - I used to have 13848239020 google tabs open at any one time, Arc just came in changed the game for a browser. Jam.dev - I love finding bugs, and Jam makes it so easy to report them straight to engineering. A must-have for anyone in product. Recorder - These guys are building something really cool for insurance brokers and taking on a massive player in the space. It’s about time someone did. OpenAI - An obvious one Ideogram - I love MidJourney, but the Discord UI just made me lose love for it. Ideogram fixes that. I’m always on the lookout for new tools, especially over the Christmas break when its quieter in the insurance and fundraising spaces. So if you have something that you love please let me know.

Such an ineffective advice, right? Because our time is finite and we need to prioritize it ruthlessly, just as we prioritize the roadmap. Instead, I use the #LNOframework that Shreyas Doshi popularized a few years ago. It helps categorize your tasks based on the impact they have. In short, Leverage (L) tasks bring 10X or 100X impact, Neutral (N) tasks give just a bit more than you put in, and Overhead (O) tasks, well, they demand more than they give. One of the times that I used this concept and it was a game-changer for me was redefining the 🐛 bug reporting process. At that time, that recurring task was oscillating between an N and an O type of task for me. By streamlining it, not only I was able to dedicate more time to higher-leverage tasks, but it also improved the bug-fixing experience from engineers to customers. Here's the process I used: The Challenge Bug fixing is crucial for user satisfaction (and catching them internally before they reach customers plays an important part). But gathering details often involved a ton of back-and-forth with Customer Service, QA, Sales, etc.) This manual process ate up a huge chunk of my time as a PM. Anyone else feel this pain? 🙋‍♀️ The Accidental Leverage Then, I stumbled upon Jam.dev This tool made reporting bugs much easier and fixing them much faster. Because it gave engineers all the needed info, like reproduction steps, screen recordings, console logs, etc. Initially, I only used it myself, but soon enough, through its sharing mechanisms devs, QA engineers, and even the Head of Product started using it. This is what a well-implemented viral loop can do for a SaaS product! From Tool to System But I didn't stop there. I built a new bug-handling process involving the new tool and some delegation. It's a rotational system where engineers take turns handling incoming bugs, ensuring reproducibility and setting a priority according to a scale we’ve previously defined. It adapts effortlessly as the project evolves. 2️⃣ Jam.dev (jam.dev) - Capturing bugs or providing feedback was never this easy! Thanks to the Better Design team for introducing me to this gem. This tool allows you to record screens or take screenshots, perfect for collaborating with engineers and designers. 3️⃣ Supernormal (lnkd.in/dT_YeF39) - It automatically generates meeting minutes and to-dos when you launch a meeting on Chrome//Google Meet. So really, it's okay if you forgot your notebook and pen for the meeting! 4️⃣ Grammarly (app.grammarly.com) - I am sure you all know about this one. However, personally, this tool transformed my work when I started creating content pieces over two years ago.
