The resources and support you offer are really great. These BYOL's have been a great addition to the "routine" for the week; they're very informative and inspiring. And the open discussions have been really surprising- learning that others are struggling with things I can relate to makes me feel less defeated or alone in my confusion.

I absolutely loved the meeting today! It's hard for me to open up and talk in front of an audience about my life, but the positive reception and overwhelming support I got from you and the group was so uplifting. LGP has truly transformed my life as I transition careers and I can’t stop talking about it. You’ve created a great space online and in real life for women to connect and network.

I took an entry level job in advertising a few years ago and have been promoted to a senior position; I am still very underpaid. I don't like my job and want a new one. LGP has been the best addition to my life in 2017, however, not for salary reasons. It has been the best outlet for career advice, guidance, friendships...basically free therapy! I LOVE LGP.

I really do have you to thank. Without Ladies Get Paid, I wouldn't have seen my full potential as I do now. Well, maybe I would have *eventually* on my own but that would've taken so. much. time. ;) This is why businesses like LGP are necessary. I love the Ladies Get Paid slack and the whole community! It really inspires me to become more of a boss when it comes to advocating at work. My supervisor recently told me that I'm the strongest advocate for myself on the team (important to note that we've been a team of all men and myself up until this past Monday).

By the way, recently I attended a couple of webinars and went to an event in Portland. Prior to launching my own freelancing career and joining LGP, I was in a bubble. I left 10 years of public health research management - I'm talking multi-million dollar, 5 year contracts. I left that to help startups and entrepreneurs get organized, define systems and processes, document how they operate so they can scale, and just generally get their shit together. I had a HUGE learning curve to understand the new ecosystem I was working in on top of learning all the things it takes to bootstrap and run a business - how to build my website, the fact that marketing and sales are different, where and how to network with this new crowd. LGP has been an amazing resource that I rely on and check daily. Just seeing the conversations gives me amazing context and resources and I've also been able to connect and learn from other ladies. It also serves as inspiration when I'm having tough days and facing imposter syndrome.

A month ago, I was told about your community and I am enjoying the content ever since. Unemployed and building 2 side hustles while looking for my next dream position, I look forward to spending my lunch with you on Friday (I watch on IGTV replay). The on-demand video library is perfect for me. I watch on an as-needed basis! Each fireside chat has nuggets of information worth hanging on to!

Wow. The virtual networking event this week…AMAZING! I left that call feeling so hopeful and excited about getting to connect with all these amazing women. I’ve gone to a lot of the LGP Networking events in Portland (the LGP events are by far THE BEST networking/gathering events in this city btw) and I have seriously missed the events these past months. The virtual networking event just knocked my socks off and was the most productive networking event that I have ever been apart of. So, thank you for everything that you did to make the event happen. This past Monday I was sitting at my computer crying about the job hunt, and by Wednesday evening, I was feeling hopeful and excited about the future. Thank you for working your ass off to create and grow LGP into what it is today. Everyone says that they want to make the world a better place but you are one of the few people that is actually making that happen.

Claire is always so inspiring! Coming out of this session, I feel more self confident about freelance and salary negotiation—I now know how to go into negotiation with a clearer sense of my boundaries, and how to speak confidently when telling candidate clients/employers that my value to them is worth the $$ I require. RRRROWWWRRR!!!!

I like the empathetic tone in the book. It guides from a place of understanding, not judgment. I think women who read or hear the book will come out truly empowered and thankful for putting their dilemmas and hesitations into words, for feeling they are not alone, and for learning there ARE ways to deal with these problems. She is not pretending to say it is easy to be a woman in the workplace, but it is an important challenge and a lot can be done. I also enjoyed just hearing her read with clarity and inflection.

I just finished listening to Claire’s book. It was a pleasure on many levels. First of all because it speaks of the extremely important topic of how women are treated in the workplace, financially and socially. It gives women the courage and the tools they need to elevate themselves to an equitable place. Second, it shows the connection between what an individual does seemingly for herself and the impact it makes on other women and society as a whole. Very important to realize. Third, it is full of examples and specific guidance, especially in the appendix, to make it easier to implement the advice in the book.

BY FAR ONE OF THE MOST INFLUENTIAL BOOKS I HAVE EVER INTERACTED WITH! First off, the feminine energy in this book is abundantttt! Personally, I bought the audiobook because I love being able to hear an authors strong voice. Clarie does an outstanding job with emphasizing her message- LOUD & CLEAR! 💖 EMPOWERING is the first word that came to mind as soon as the introduction began. I’m already half way through the book (that I purchased yesterday, btw) & I feel my mindset shifting in the most positive way. 11/10 recommend! 💖 THANK YOU FOR THIS!!

I bought your book in May, it rocked my fucking world. It was a huge factor in me seeking a different job, and nailing one with a 30% base comp increase and a phat annual bonus.

I want to carry this book everywhere for reference. It really gives you all the secrets and answers on how to get managers and coworkers to take you seriously. I mean it. They literally give you word for word on what to respond to the toughest questions, they give you the right answer to step through every door. Every page I turned there was gold. Hi Claire, I just wanted to write a quick note to let you know how wonderful this webinar was. I unfortunately wasn't able to attend it live but I watched the recording this afternoon, and just...thank you. I was surprised by how much material you were able to cover in such a succinct and relatable way, and that it wasn't preachy but rather actionable advice. The part where you talked about getting anxiety and accepting it, and then thanking your body for trying to keep you safe and protected, that made me tear up a bit. I always punish myself for getting so nervous and never thought it was an option to just be kind to myself and let it pass. I normally don't write to people or approach or reach out or anything (because I do get anxious) but I thought it would be a shame not to let you know how inspiring this was. Within my first month of joining LGP, I applied for a position at a company that neither I, nor my network, had any connections. So I posted an ask on the LGP Slack and of course heard back at once from amazing women who were willing to help by passing my resume along - whether it was a personal connection or a friend of a friend. And of course, them passing along my info was what got me in for interviews! Am so pleased to say that I just put my 2 weeks in yesterday and am moving on to this new opportunity! Let me tell you also that I had been job searching for over a year, with at least 14 first-round interviews under my belt (yeah I know, insane). It just so happens that LGP was the magic I needed.

Hi Claire, I wanted to send you a quick message to say THANK YOU for the Ladies Get Paid book! I was previously working as a communications specialist at a company where I felt miserably unfilled (and severely underutilized based on my skill set). After asking for more responsibilities and a promotion and being told, "Well, that's just going to be hard to do because this role is not a growth one and there's not much more you can do..." I knew I'd have to start applying externally. I read your book this past March and started thinking about what exactly I wanted out of my career (partnerships and events), the salary I knew I deserved (six figs), the flexibility I desired (hybrid WFH or remote), the exposure I wanted (domestic and global), and prestige (Fortune 250 or better). After honing in on my wishlist, I narrowed my search on Linkedin and started strategically applying to roles that checked all these boxes. In early April, I applied for my dream job at a company in the Fortune 20 (is that a term or did I just make that up!?) AND I GOT THE JOB. I got a manager role on the Partnership and Events team, increased my salary by 50% (and doubled target bonus!) which brought me to over. $100K, hybrid WFH, and includes domestic and global travel, IS THIS REAL LIFE!? I was able to take 5 weeks off between my roles to recharge and just began this month. It's a dream! Your book was the wakeup call I needed. Great reminder that we're truly our biggest advocate and that we should never let another person dictate our limits or potential. I can't wait to make an impact in my new role and I'm so glad I stumbled across your book. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I’ve been a loyal member of the DC area Ladies Get Paid cohort since it started hosting events in 2018 - Claire Wasserman is truly incredible and has changed my life and so many other women in the network, I’ve been attending her weekly virtual events since the start of the pandemic and they’re a large part of what’s helped me keep my sanity.

I need to start this off with a huge CONGRATULATIONS! Your book is released today and I am so happy for you, Ashley, and the Ladies Get Paid community. I really hope you're taking the day to enjoy this moment and reflect on your hard work. You have done so much to help the women in the LGP community and I cannot thank you enough for how you have positively influenced my life. The ladies *loved* the event we did together. Like, loved loved loved it. After our session ended, each one of those women called me and I was on the phone until 1am speaking with each of them individually. They were thrilled to feel like they were noticed, their feelings and insecurities about work and money were validated, and for the first time they felt like it wasn't them that was the issue. The group I brought together were women who, in the past, told me about times where they were passed over for the raise, realized they were making less than the men at their workplace, and felt like they lacked confidence or experience despite being highly qualified. I knew they would benefit from the Pod, because they saw these issues as something that applied to them, but not to women as a whole. After our Pod I heard them speak to me about terrible work experiences they are tired of dealing with, how they want to move forward in their career, and all were inspired to make changes to improve their situation. Since it has been a few months, I can give you a broader update as well. One woman gained the courage to quit her second job so she could be better focused on the family business. One woman decided to make the effort to try a 30 day finance overhaul where she learned about investing, how to save, and general info on getting her financial life together. One woman decided she didn't need to put up with feeling uncomfortable at work and reported her co-worker for sexual harassment. One woman went into her first performance review prepared to discuss her career path, her future, her past accomplishments, and got herself a raise. One woman took four pages of notes during our Pod session and keeps them at work for reference. One woman, who I spoke to yesterday, had been overlooked again for another promotion opportunity so she sent out some resumes. Yesterday she had a promising interview and called me to reference the salary negotiation toolkit you included and wanted to practice with me. I want you to know the impact one hour of your time has had on my family and friends. I am forever grateful for the inspiration and confidence you have given them.

Ladies Get Paid is awesome! It has been since March that I’ve joined Ladies Get Paid. I discovered LGP by way of Tech Ladies, promptly joined the Slack community, participated in Ladies Get Paid’s Equal Pay Day Summit, and picked up Claire’s book (I’ve already finished it, and now I'm revisiting it to deal with some current work negotiations and aspirations). In the very short time that I’ve been active in this community, I have seen people engage and respond with alacrity and kindness. We’re all feeling the effects of the pandemic, and for some of us, “being on an island by ourselves” was a work reality in pre-pandemic times. Thank you all the support these past few months. I am super happy to say that I started my first week at my new job! I am a Customer Success Maanger with Zonos. I am so thrilled! Through the support and education I have gotten from this group: I found a job during a pandemic- I actually ended up with 2 competing job offers. I am now getting my highest salary I have ever been offered and received a generous relocation package so I am also preparing to buy my first house. I am so grateful to you and @Claire from Ladies Get Paid for the knowledge and encouragement.

This was my first hard core negotiation and not only did I get the job I absolutely wanted, I got the compensation my skills deserve. In order to keep the LGP principles in mind during my offer call this is what I put on my laptop to remind me to go get paid! Thanks for this group, thanks for all the advice and thanks for being you! I am super excited that you wrote a book. I enjoy the LGP community to pieces, find your advice to be very helpful, and can't wait to see what you do next.

I wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed the bootcamp. I appreciate all of the information that you provided and the great conversation with other women. Although I have been in the workforce 16+ years, I have only had three jobs. They were all through warm referrals, so I was a bit apprehensive to start my search cold. I feel much better equipped now to figure out my next move and know that I can reach out to the bootcamp ladies.

Your book inspired me and it has helped my confidence to step out and do more at my job and my side hustle. My goal is to prayerfully leave my job and work as A Certified Career Coach full time, it's my passion. I have already typed up my resignation letter as motivation.

For the first time I quit the hospitality industry and I moved out of my home state. Shortly after, in such uncertainty, I was recommended your book, Ladies Get Paid, by a friend and it changed so many perspectives in my life. It inspired me to take a leap of faith in so many areas of my life, including to start this podcast and to embrace that we can change and reclaim anything in our life.

I love this community so much. On March 1, the day after I received my second rejection in three days after getting very far into the interview process at two companies, I signed up for the "How to Get the Job" master course and attended the live seminar with Claire. I felt like an absolute failure and thought I'd for sure never get an offer in the three-to-six-month window that Claire said was pretty typical in a job hunt. A week ago, I received an offer from a FAANG company with the highest salary I'm ever making (plus bonus and equity for the first time in my life), and I even had to withdraw from another hiring process with a different FAANG company. Thank you so much for the thoughtful counsel in the course and the seminar! After seven years in my current role and feeling stagnant for most of them, I am thrilled to be embarking on this new role at the end of the month. LGP is so special, and thank you so much for sharing all your insight with the rest of us out here.

I've been following you since 2018. I honestly used to think the world of finance wasn't for people like me. Ladies Get Paid has helped me completely rewrite that narrative, eliminate my debt and invest over $60k.

I met Claire for the first time in during a professional development program I attended through college. I have been listening to Ladies Get Paid the audiobook and I am loving it!! I saw myself in each of these women's stories, especially the ones focused on perfectionism and impostor syndrome. There were moments in both of these sections where I had to completely stop what I was doing (even though I was just folding laundry), hit replay multiple times, and follow up with notes in my journal.
