After using free apps and videos for a year to try and learn a bit of Spanish for travel, I found that I could only parrot a few words and phrases but I could not really express myself. After stumbling on a Qroo Paul video, I was sold. His method of learning and teaching Spanish made sense to me right away, and because he is fluent in Spanish but a native English speaker he knows what trips us up when trying to learn Spanish. I joined the Qroo crew for access to all the content but have also found the community to be super helpful as well. My comprehension and my ability to express what I want to say has improved greatly in a short period, and I feel way more engaged in the process. I highly recommend joining and accessing all the content, you will definitely get your money's worth.

Paul has become a trusted advisor for Spanish. His videos alone have efficiently provided more information and clarity with less overwhelm than other Spanish instruction I have had. It doesn’t end there. He, along with other members, answer questions quickly, and he also includes 2 group sessions per week with a native Latin American, Isaac. So, whether you’re at the beginner, intermediate, or advanced level, there’s something to be gained.

I have tried so many online methods of learning Spanish. I found Paul on YouTube and haven’t looked back. Paul’s teaching style and method is the absolute best, and I am now a lifetime member. It is the right mix of professionalism, knowledge and humour. He explains concepts so well, and his teaching style clicks with my brain. I also appreciate that he also references European Spanish when needed, so I don’t feel left out as a UK student. I enjoy the summary PDFs and exercises very much. I had been learning Spanish for 4 months using Duolingo, a couple of Teach Yourself books and watching loads of YouTube videos of different people teaching Spanish (native and non-native speakers). I was going nowhere fast. Then I stumbled on a video of Paul and everything changed! He is an amazing teacher! Whatever the topic is he somehow manages to extract the essence of it then explain it with the clearest of explantations. His lessons are super methodical and logical and crystal clear. And it’s real Spanish so he’s constantly popping in little nuggets of information about commonly used expressions in the real world. This guy is brilliant and my progress in learning Spanish is progressing in leaps and bounds now. And the added bonus is that he actually makes it really fun. Muchas gracias!

I have been studying with a popular app on my phone for 3 years but really don't know how to say anything. Then I took an online course (that was very expensive) and after ten months I quit. The teacher was often late to the class and just didn't explain things like Paul does. I think that is one advantage of being taught by a native English speaker. He knows what we are thinking. I started at the beginning of Paul's course and can't believe how many nuances I've learned this far. I still feel like the process is somewhat slow for me but I love the convenience of the videos and the Skool and I can do everything at my own pace. Thank you, Qroo Paul!

Paul is wonderful and knows exactly what English speakers have trouble with. He explains points succintly with a few solid examples. The summaries then reinforce it and are great for visual learners. And it’s always interesting!

I found Qroo last year when I made it my Resolution to finally learn Spanish. I've watched many YouTubers & I really like the way he fills in gaps & emphasizes the Subjunctive.

As an older learner, I find Paul’s teaching techniques very helpful. After 4 full semesters in college recently, he teaches like my favorite professor, which is easy to understand and follow, with many helpful hints. Qroo Paul is the Bomb, hands down. In the past, I´ve used many other platforms, private teachers, and expensive programs which have been helpful but have somehow always missed the mark. Paul has a way of speaking and explaining things that get right to the point. I love learning Spanish with Qroo Paul! The videos offer useful, easy to follow instruction and are fun. Often the lessons are challenging to me, but I can watch them again as often as I want. The Skool library of lessons is well-organized, and it allows me to keep a record of my progress. I appreciate the newly added “Quick Tips” which are short yet very informative.

So glad that I joined The Qroo Spanish Crew. I have 24/7 access to tons of information and QRoo Paul is great. There are two live classes (via Zoom) a week with Isaac from Mexico who does a wonderful job with the classes. I’ve belonged for almost 2 months now and do something almost every day on the app. There is also inter-communication with other members of The Crew which is quite valuable. I’m definitely glad I made this decision as my knowledge of Spanish is benefiting greatly.

The Qroo Spanish Crew is a great way to learn the ins and outs of various Spanish constructions used in everyday Spanish (and even not-so-everyday Spanish). The explanations are in English, with the exception of listening comprehension dialogues and live sessions. The live sessions allow you to practice with a native speaker (entirely in Spanish) in a safe environment. One of the best things about it is the variety of short tips and longer exercises to fit everyone's schedule.

My Spanish lessons were transformed when I discovered Qroo Paul’s Spanish lessons on UTube. I’ve since joined the group on Skool and love the lessons. When we decided to move from the US to Latin America, we realized that obviously, we would need to learn Spanish. Recently my friend recommended Paul course . Initially I was doubtful that I may drop out as I had done before . Then I signed up . Wondering as how I didnot know about Paul Qroo course this long . Excellent program - as an English speaker is teaching , so easy to understand the contexts that he explains eloquently and n exercises to follow . Just reading the questions that others post and the discussions helps a ton to retain as it’s fun, interesting, educational and motivating. Now am recommending so many of friends to join . My Spanish learning journey started several years ago. I used the typical apps and online tutoring and stuff. I learned a lot. I even did a month study abroad and a couple of college level classes. I am currently at an intermediate level and that's where the Qroo Crew came into my life. It has been so instrumental in how to apply what I have already learned in practical ways. The way the lessons are explained and taught fit me well. Paul explains the nuances, strategies, tips that has worked from his personal experience, and a lot more. Everything is extremely thorough and if you have any questions, feedback is almost immediate. And not just feedback from Paul, but from a whole community of folks with difference experiences and knowledge from all over. I started with a plan to figure out if I could learn Spanish through self-study. I started searching for resources through the public library, my local community, and any resources leading to a class I could find. I began searching podcasts, and surprisingly, one day, one of Paul's videos popped up on my timeline on YouTube titled, "A Faster Way for Adults to Learn Spanish - Using patterns to become fluent in Spanish." I watched the video and learned a few cognate strategies that helped me create several sentences. I was so impressed that I shared the video with my daughter. She loved it too. We very much want to move to the Yucatán in the future. We want to walk into the country as green card-holding residents who can speak the language and embrace the culture. Paul's program is so well designed. His strategies are sound and easy to follow. I also discovered that I like the idea of learning Latin Spanish from a native English speaker. I’m so happy I found this course! The teaching method & style keep the student engaged. You can also pause a lesson if you need a minute. In the group texting section, members share tips, answer questions & support each other. Paul (the teacher) answers questions quickly. I have found this course espcially helpful in understanding the grammar. Highly recommend.

I have been learning Spanish for 3 years, and use several apps etc. Qroo Paul is one of the best teachers I have found, and I’ve been fortunate to find him and his Qroo School to help me with my learning journey.

I have been studying Spanish on my own for many years now, but I have only paid for a few programs. This has been one of the best choices I have made. I think it is because Paul is a native English speaker from the U.S. and his explanations work for me. When I listen to the explanations from some of the others, I am often still left wondering. I can't tell you the number of times I have had an Ah Ha! moment after one of Paul's lessons. I particularly like the listening comprehension and story breakdown classes. Not only does it improve my audio comprehension, but the breakdown of the story and how the language works is absolutely invaluable. So far, the best investment I have made in my Spanish language journey.

I’d been watching Qroo Paul’s YouTube videos for a while so I decided to try his paid crew for a month. Once that month was up it was an easy decision to switch to a lifetime membership! In the first few weeks I’ve finally got my head around direct and indirect object pronouns, por vs para, and use of preterite vs imperfect. I’m now moving on to conquer relative pronouns! These are all topics that, as an intermediate/advanced student, I sort of knew, but they never quite gelled 100%. Paul’s teaching is just so easy to understand and digest! I’m also enjoying the community element of the crew - picking up some useful titbits (and trying to contribute as well where I can). I highly recommend The Qroo Spanish Crew!

Amazing. I aam a hugh researcher before I purchase anything. I had purchased a couple courses and I had seen Qroo videos on youtube but had not really done any investigation. The course I was doing was a spanish chourse out of the UK it was good but had no video presentation just words on a screen and phrases. It is actually really good course and I did learn a lot. One day I finally clicked and listened to one of the QROO videos on youtube and was impressed enough to do some research there was a lifetime option to join so I went for it, I am up to lesson 15 in the beginners a lot of it was revision but I am picking up some great nuggets. This course has surpassed my expectations and I wish I had started with it, I am truly amazed at how much though went into making this course. The logic and delivery stlye are just outstanding, I recommend without reservation.

Found QRoo Paul on YouTube and immediately felt the lessons were a different way to learn. Was introduced to Madrigals book through the channel and they are similar in style. I have been trying to learn on and off for years. I live in Florida and the Spanish populations large. I've always loved the language. Simply outstanding. I have been learning Spanish as an adult (emergency physician) for the past two years using all the usual tools, Apps, Podcasts, YouTube videos, conjugation drills, reading stories in Spanish, regular online 1:1 instruction via "Video Call" platforms (Preply, ITalki, & Babbel Live) and more and have made great progress. I am now performing at a high B1 / early B2 CEFR level but still struggle to push through even higher. What I particularly like about the QROO SKOOL CREW approach is that it is taught from the perspective of an English speaker who is fluent in Spanish and also learned as an adult. Some things about a foreign language are just hard to understand - i.e. with Spanish for me and many others - the subjunctive, consistency with articles, gender and number agreement, redundance LE, neuter LO, word order variations and more. Because Paul is a native English speaker, he explains these things in a way that I can understand. The "subjunctive triggers" series is simply outstanding and my current favorite is "story time" with the detailed breakdowns of so many important constructions, tenses & common usages within a meaningful story context rather than just random sentence fragments or lessons that focus on a single tense, construction or concept. Great stuff!!

There's something here for everyone, from beginner up through advanced. I'm advanced-intermediate. Even if I'm watching a video of Paul's on a topic that I already know reasonably well, I'm confident I'll still pick up a couple of nuggets. And someone else mentioned "like having coffee with a friend." I agree :)

A few years ago I moved to México to enjoy my retirement. Part of living abroad is learning the language so I have used a variety of live and online classes, books, and videos. In many cases, the grammar is explained in Spanish, which makes it hard for me to fully understand the more complex constructions. Paul provides clean and cogent explanations for the grammar in English, and offers a lot of examples. I appreciate the order of the material and that nothing is long enough to be overwhelming. It’s structured to be long enough to explain something without causing me to lose interest. I have found some skills I pick up easily, and others are a struggle, so I have my favorite Paul videos I return to in order to practice direct and indirect object pronouns and a few other things I struggle with. It’s an excellent and unique program for people who want to understand Spanish vs just memorizing some phrases and tenses.

In my 20+ years of trying to learn to speak Spanish fluently Paul'smethod is the best. It comes being perfectly fluent with the correct accents in both languages and because it comes from some who has gone through that joyrney himself. I am amazed at his flawless delivery of his lessons.

I took up Spanish during COVID to give me some purpose and structure to the day. I used YouTube and did sign up to a course which was helpful and gave me sound building blocks for the language I was now at the point that I just needed someone to ‘ join up the dots’ I found Paul’s channel on YouTube and I instantly connected with his style and approach He makes each video in a way that one can apply it in context immediately. He is motivational and engaging. I also think that the summary and exercise that are attached to each video helps with reinforcement. The site is easy to navigate and I am looking forward to some live sessions

Amazing, absolutely amazing. Paul is very active in the forums, creates videos that members request, provides instruction that is so much better than I got in high school and college because it gives formulas you can quickly apply, but also explains the "why". Amazing resource.

I just happened to run across Paul’s “The Qroo Spanish Crew” on YouTube and I watched the llegar video. It was such a thorough, easy to understand video that I immediately recognized how beneficial his program is. I signed up right away. The site is well organized and so informative. I have improved my Spanish skills by utilizing the materials and the side chat options. I would highly recommend signing up. I have a tutor that I meet with once a week for 90 minutes but I have and gained so much by being able to utilize the bite sized videos on Paul’s site when I have time.

I have been practicing Spanish now for 3 years and I'm ok at it. I have some kind of understanding. Well I started this course from the very beginning and it has helped tremendously. It has not only reinforced what I thought I already knew but its leveled up my foundation immensely. I now have a much deeper knowledge and appreciation for this language. I didn’t need this I have books, I have apps, I have two tutors, I have social media, I have AI, and I have YouTube, WITH QROO videos. The last thing I needed to spend money on, was yet another stream to learn Spanish. But Paul, sir, your videos on YouTube are so good and then you offered the lifetime membership. I happily forked over the extra money to support you so that you will hopefully continue doing what you do. I went a couple of weeks without even going on to the SKOOL site. Finally one day I thought I may as well check it out. I’ve paid for it. I now watch one to two videos a day and it is fantastic. I appreciate the structure. I appreciate the approach and now today you sent out a message about “story time”. I was actually trying to create something like that with AI prompts. For me, your service is worth every penny. I have never seen a teacher who is so good at teaching a language like Qroo Paul. He shows that if one has the willingness to learn a language , one can do it. His videos are great and different than other Spanish learning videos. Paul teaches us the tricks. I like the patterns and the grammar structures he uses to teach Spanish. If you watch his free videos on You Tube, you will know what I am talking about. I am glad I finally registered and now I am one of the happy members of Qroo Paul community. Estoy muy feliz.

After using language learning apps for a couple of years there was still so much I didn't understand. I found Paul on YouTube and used his videos to supplement what I was learning in the apps. After a while I realized I was getting more from him that the apps and decided to join. Having a native English speaker teach the lessons the way he does has been so helpful. Qroo Paul is an awesome resource for helping with Spanish learning. I love the way he teaches and breaks things down easily. A person that speaks fluently and is able to communicate the nuances of the language. I highly recommend him to others!

I got to the point where I felt like I needed a community in my Spanish-learning journey. Though I watched many YouTube videos teaching Spanish, I particularly liked Qroo Paul's videos and his "crew" was reasonbly priced for a lifetime membership. I have joined in on the Zoom practice sessions and I like the additional videos available as a member. It is a great supplement to Duolingo and gives you opportunities to ask questions and communicate with others learning Spanish. I love it!

I’ve been self learning Spanish off (and on and off) for a few years I was stuck at a beginner intermediate plateau. I could understand quite a bit if it was spoken slow but had a hard time communicating quickly. I have tried MANY various online courses and apps. If you are learning Spanish you would recognize most if them. Qroos Paul’s teaching style clicked with me while watching his videos. His big difference is he teaches it from an English speakers perspective. He tells you the pit falls to avoid, because he experienced them himself but he is also able to explain things in ways that made sense from an English speaking perspective. I joined for a month at the normal rate but I quickly broke through the plateau I was on. I started having dreams in Spanish for the first time in my life (not kidding) and finally could understand more complicated sentences like “se lo di de ella” and subjunctives etc. Not only could I understand it but I was instantly using it in a natural way without thinking about it. Long story short, I canceled my monthly and just bought a lifetime membership. If you are on the considering it, JUST DO IT. I am going to Costa Rica in a couple of months and I can’t wait! I cannot recommend the Qroo Spanish Crew enough. Paul's videos are absolutely fantastic. He just gets it! I have a reasonably good level of Spanish but I still have plenty to learn and Paul's explanations are invaluable. When I'm feeling unmotivated or not sure what I need/want to practice, I'll choose one of Paul's lessons and always come away feeling like I've learned something. It's so easy when you're learning a language (at whatever stage) to feel overwhelmed and this approach just takes that away. I love the plug in and play formulae-it's just how I've always learned languages without realising but Paul's done all the hard work so we don't have to! Not only that, his beginner videos are incredible for someone getting started (they help me guide my 17 year old who's desperate to learn Spanish but finds language learning very difficult). On top of all that, the crew are all super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable too!

It is a very thorough and fun way to learn Spanish. I followed first on YouTube and then I decided to go all in and I’m so happy I did. I love the structure it provides and it keeps me motivated since I am learning through various methods and at my own pace. He is an excellent teacher who is always looking for ways to enhance the course.

I have been through many different language formats in the past from High School, to Three online digital applications and none has seemed to click with me. My wife is Latina and loves that I work on communicating with her family, but would like if I were better. I am 60 years old and find memorizing in not my strong suit. I saw Qroo's videos on YouTube and liked the way he explained the language. I signed up for the Qroo's Skool's Program and I have progressed faster than in all the previous courses combined. I highly recommend his course! Give it a try it won't break the bank.

QRoo Paul has been my light through my Spanish learning journey. Everyone seems to think that you can learn Spanish by only speaking Spanish. This to me is ridiculous, so when finding Paul on YouTube and now with the QROO Spanish Crew, my search was over. I have stayed ever since. Why go elsewhere when I have everything I need here and if I don't, I just ask Paul for it. This to me is amazing in this day and age when most online teachers just put out what they want, not what their students need or ask for. I have always thought that Paul has had an amazing way of teaching English speakers Spanish. I wouldn't want or need to be anywhere else! BTW, Thank you for that Paul. It's been an amazing journey. About 2 years ago, I stumbled upon Qroo Paul's free YouTube videos and I was instantly hooked. As others have mentioned, he has a very natural, engaging, and highly effective teaching style, plus he has a system (patterns) for learning that really works. So when he started "The Crew," I signed up for a lifetime subscription the very day I received the invitation. I knew I wanted this and I wanted it forever! Since starting "The Crew," Qroo has added a lot to the original lessons, adding listening comprehension using stories, live interactions with native speakers, very selective recommendations for books and streaming services to investigate ... You get way more than you paid for by joining The Crew. Qroo Paul is also very accessible, always willing to answer individual questions, and always looking for new ways to expand and enhance his lessons. This is not someone who packaged a static learning platform and disappeared. This is an organic, dynamic, very much "live" learning opportunity. I highly recommend this to anyone who is serious about learning Spanish. I have tried Babel, Duolingo, and Pimsleur, but Qroo Paul is my favorite by far.

I've been so impressed with this channel. I came by recommendation from people in another Spanish learning group. I really like the grammar explanations and that the videos are on the shorter side. I feel like they are easier to digest when they are shorter.

Paul is probably the clearest and most thoughtful Spanish teacher on YouTube; I use duolingo for vocabulary, but to learn grammar in a succinct, effective way I use QROO.

I am 70 years old and I never had any Spanish in school. I have tried learning Spanish for the past couple of years. Paul has a great down to earth style in teaching native English speakers how to speak Spanish. He uses sentence patterns that allow a person to be able to take a lot of Spanish words and drop them into the basic patterns for use in various ways. These patterns can help a person develop a good working understanding of the language. With practice in using these various patterns, a person can feel more confident in attempting beginner level conversations in Spanish.

I have followed Qroo Paul for a year now. i have finally begun to need more than what I am learning in college. Qroo pulls it all together with clear and usable content. We moved to Chapala, Mexico five years ago. My husband grew up speaking Spanish but I knew only a few words in Spanish. He really wanted me to learn Spanish with the hope that we would eventually speak only Spanish at home and out with our Mexican friends. I tried Duolingo for several years - where I learned some vocabulary and writing skills. But it was NOT good for learning pronunciaiton or speaking. I also tried Rosetta Stone. But when I switched to Qroo Spanish Crew, I learned more Spanish in the first month then I did in all the time I was using Duolingo. My Mexican friends are complementing me on how improved my Spanish is! And I am more comfortable speaking and knowing that I am understood at the markets, restaurants, and other social situations. My husband is so pleased with my progress and we are actually having Spanish conversations more. Meanwhile all my friends who are still with Duolingo have the same complaint. They can read/write it. But they can't speak it and their pronunciation is horrible so when they do try to speak, it is hard for people to understand what they are trying to say.

Qroo Spanish course is a great course for those wanting to learn and understand the Spanish language. Paul does an awesome job of explaining the various tenses and how they apply to everyday speech. He also provides some great examples of sentences you can tag together — a great way to build confidence!

This group has helped me so much and been so beneficial with the time I have to learn Spanish. Paul is phenomenal at teaching because he understands Spanish and English so he can explain it sometimes it doesn't make sense and he can tell you hey this isn't going to make sense because you're an American or you speak English. This is the best thing that's happened to me as far as learning the members are extremely helpful. If you have questions Paul will answer you one of the members will answer you it's just a really great support group in this journey. If you're not a member and you're on the fence about it do it you won't regret it.

I have been trying to learn Spanish for a long time. I am now making progress due to Paul's approach and the story videos. It is tough to train my ear to hear the rapid pace of Spanish, but I am getting there.

There's so much more to the Qroo Spanish Crew than the (already) excellent materials on YouTube. There are additional lessons and a vibrant community of learners who help each other with questions and suggestions. And Paul is on the boards all the time. I'd put myself as a solid intermediate learner (C1) but always pick up useful tidbits. Highly recommend joining.

The Qroo crew is really worth it if you want to improve your Spanish. The site has a lot to offer and is very interactive with many live sessions where you can practice speaking. I only joined in January but have already learnt a lot. Great value for money too!

I listen to a class every morning! I love the way you teach and it is fun when you actually start to understand people when they speak! I’ve been learning Spanish for around 2 years. I started out on Duolingo and YouTube videos. My vocabulary was increasing but a lot was missing from my learning experience. I stumbled on a video by Paul and his explanations “just made sense”. When he started the Qroo Crew I joined to help support him and his efforts to make videos that really helped me. I had no idea all the additional things he would add/offer to his platform. It’s my primary method of study now. Not only has my understanding for the language increased but my listening comprehension has made big jumps which was the area I struggled with the most. I always wondered “what’s the use in knowing a lot of individual words if you can’t create a sentence or you don’t understand what someone else is saying?” I still have a long way to go but Paul’s platform is keeping things fresh and interesting which keeps me motivated and wanting to learn more!

His method of teaching patterns and how to construct sentences make it so much easier to learn. This is the best platform to learn Spanish.

I started watching Qroo Paul two years ago when I could no longer tolerate my own bad Spanish. I felt like I had a powerful ally from day one. Learning a language is hard work, at least for me. Qroo Paul presents relatable content from the perspective of a self-learner. More than that though, he's a gifted , easygoing teacher. Joining the Qroo Spanish Crew was the smartest move for me and easily the best money I've spent on learning Spanish. I can't count how many stumbling blocks he has removed for me, or how many concise definitions and examples he has provided. If you are willing to do the work on your end, Qroo Paul can teach you Spanish every time he drinks a cup of coffee. And friend, that guy can drink a lot of coffee.

Paul is an excellent instructor and I truly appreciate his teaching method. I have lived and worked in Mexico for decades, speak decent conversational Spanish, but have neglected to invest the time to learn the grammar properly - and Paul’s program is exactly what I need to comprehend the nuances of Spanish grammar! If you feel stuck in your progress in Spanish, try this website. It is worth the investment. There are some non-credits college courses in Spanish that uses a similar method in teaching in patterns, they just have a different name for it. However this website offers so much more. If you are beginner, I recommend you start here first before you purchase an expensive course in Spanish. You can try it for month or two to see if you like it and like many of us who began with the monthly subscriptions, you may see it is better to go ahead and purchase the lifetime membership. Also, the breakdown of stories on his member site has improved my listening comprehension. Another benefit of membership is he answers your questions with a clear, easy to understand explanations.

There are so many platforms out there to learn a language. I started w/ books, cassette tapes LOL, then CDs of Rosetta Stone, in person language schools, Podcasts, Kindle/Audible, apps: Babbel, Duolingo, and YouTube. I’ve tried them all. I know it’s because I lacked consistency & confidence; then I would lose motivation. I feel Qroo Paul is phenomenal in explaining concepts of Spanish grammer & conjugation of verbs, which makes me more motivated to be consistent with my forever goal: to be fluent in Spanish. I’ve been watching Qroo videos on tv while I work out for about a year and have liked them much more than others. I’ve just joined the Skool group with hopes of making better use of it and building on my Spanish. I cannot believe how much this program offers!

I started learning Spanish a year ago with the Duolingo app. I quickly realised that I would never be able to speak Spanish with this app. I then looked for other effective possibilies to learn the language. I mainly looked for resources on YouTube and came across Paul's videos, which immediately inspired me. When I saw that Paul was setting up his own learning group on Skool, I immediately became a member. On the one hand, the whole structure promises a relatively quick and effective way of learning the language and Paul explains the grammatical features and their use in everyday communication in a very easy to understand way.

Paul has some great learning strategies and tips. He makes a lot of sense and I have said to myself ah okay now I get it numerous times already! I think he has a unique talent and insight into the language and his informal accessible style is what genuinely helps people learn.

I joined Qroo Paul Spanish a few months ago. The lifetime membership is reasonably priced and gives me a chance to hablar con otras personas en espanol. While I saw many learn-spanish videos on YouTube that were fine, I liked Q's teaching style a lot, even though he was not a native speaker! He has great tips to help learners and he speaks quite fluently. The program also offers the ability to ask questions if I get confused about something, there are resources, and a community, which are all the things missing from self-study. Very helpful!

Man, this course has been a godsend. As an english speaker living in Mexico with no history of speaking the language, I have spent two years trying to learn from experience alone. It is extremely difficult to understand people speaking Spanish fast when I haven't developed an ear for the language yet. My Duolingo streak continues (haha), but that is only a baby step in actually becoming semi-fluent enough to hold a conversation with anyone. The method that Paul teaches Spanish is so helpful, after watching every YT video in his Cero To Conversational series, my wife and I decided that I had improved so much that it was a no-brainer to join the paid course. I still try to get Spanish conversations in whenever possible and those conversations last so much longer now that I've got a better teacher. I think Paul is so affective here because he has experience as an english speaker learning Spanish so he knows the parts that we get hung up the most. Definitely no regrets joining the Crew and I definitely recommend it to anyone else in a situation remotely close to mine.
