Improving Your Product Sense by @shreyas is one of the best courses (ever) I had taken. I can finally start to see the Matrix on how to unravel many of the challenges I've been facing helping build Klarity! Can start to see myself gradually become a better thinker of problems!

Last week I had the pleasure of attending Shreyas Doshi's Product Sense course. I can honestly say it changed how I think about product more in one week than at any other point in my career. I'd highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to build winning products.

Over the last incredibly hectic week, I took Shreyas Doshi's Improving Product Sense course - no exaggeration, it changed how I see product building. Product management is surrounded with frameworks and misinformation around how to build products that work. Shreyas cuts through this 'nonsense' and gives a real dose filled with practical examples and situations. This one week had enough material around user motivation, strategy, developing taste, & creativity to last me through the next five years of my career. Highly recommended to those who want to truly level up themselves in this, or to be honest, in any domain.

A heartfelt thank you to Shreyas Doshi, Nicole, and the entire course team! This Product Sense course was truly transformative and exceptionally well-crafted. šŸ‘ It's one of the most impactful courses I've experienced so far. I highly recommend Shreyas Doshi's Product Sense course, and here's why: • I used to believe product sense was an innate ability, relying on templates and frameworks. This course shattered that misconception, revealing how it can be developed and honed, regardless of whether one is not a perceived 'genius.' The depth of insight and Shreyas Doshi's enriching teaching style are unparalleled. It can not be learnt anywhere and might take years to learn. Key Takeaways: • Hesitation & Breakthrough: Initially hesitant about the time commitment, I quickly discovered product thinking isn't just about generating ideas, but about intuitive development – a powerful shift gained through Shreyas's live instruction. • Immediate Impact & Future Growth: I'm already witnessing sharper thinking and enhanced communication. I'm actively applying these skills at work and eagerly exploring side products with newfound confidence. This course has been a significant catalyst for my growth. Thank you, Shreyas Doshi, for this incredible learning experience! (link to the course in the comments) #ProductSense #ProductManagement #Learning

I'd recommend it to any PMs with an openness to learning - it'll be a very intense week but worth it!

Spent all of last week undergoing the Shreyas Doshi - Product Sense course. As a PM, this has been one of the best professional learning experiences I've had. The course content is very detailed, with all elements needed for product success properly decomposed and taught. It has already begun to shape how I approach my daily micro & macro decisions with my product. Will recommend this course to any founder/PM looking to improve their product sense.

Last week was an intense one. Through 8 days of his Product Sense course - Shreyas Doshi convinced us there are no "3 winning frameworks" or "5 steps to follow" to reach product success. What it rather requires are deep, clear thinking; customer empathy; and (serial) creativity. In order to get those truly right - and to make correct decisions in face of uncertainty - struggle is necessary, because high quality results take time. Lessons learned are applicable everywhere, as products are anywhere you turn, in both professional and personal surroundings. Engaging, enriching and entertaining - interspersed with hard truth bombs - I can only highly recommend to join one of the future cohorts (but only if you are ready to "throw out the garbage" :). šŸ’¼ lnkd.in/dT9Qyq_8

Just wrapped the one week Improving Your Product Sense course by Shreyas Doshi and it's been one of the most intense but also one of the most rewarding weeks! The amount of work and preparation Shreyas put into this course is evident in every session, with depth across every product-related topic. The course dives deep into user motivation, positioning and segmentation, differentiation, and creative execution—all explained in a way that’s easy to understand and actionable. You will learn how to think better and more clearly! Shreyas focuses on teaching the actual Skills (and NOT the process) it takes to be successful in Product. If you want to improve your Product thinking I highly recommend taking the course! Doesn't matter if you not a product manager, if you're in some way involved in product development you should take it! šŸš€

I recently completed an intense and incredibly eye-opening course on Product Sense by Shreyas Doshi, and I absolutely loved it! This wasn’t just another product management course filled with frameworks- it was a deep dive into how to think about customer problems, strategy, creativity, and decision-making at the highest level. Some key takeaways that really stuck with me: • Product building isn’t about blindly following frameworks, it’s about deeply understanding customer problems and approaching them with clarity. • Strategy is about making clear, bold choices that align with reality. • Developing product taste and creativity is an active process, not a passive one. Shreyas’ candid insights, practical examples, and thought-provoking approach made this one of the most impactful learning experiences I’ve had. Despite the insane timing (10pm-6am if you’re in IST), I would highly recommend the course to anyone serious about leveling up their product thinking- or their thinking in general! lnkd.in/gBpH-_x6

I recently wrapped up Shreyas Doshi's Product Sense course. What stood out to me was how focused it was on how to think through product problems, rather than just leaning on best practices. It’s not often you come across something that helps you pause, examine your own thinking patterns, and challenge previously held beliefs in a structured way. This is a great resource for any product leader looking for a practical approach to decision-making — especially for the messy, real-world situations we all face day to day.

I just wrapped up the "Improving Your Product Sense" course by Shreyas Doshi, and it was hands down the most engaging online course I’ve ever taken for product management. A rewarding, fun, and intense one-week experience alongside incredibly smart Product Managers and founders from across the world including North America, Europe, and Asia. From the very first 45 minutes of Day 1, my mindset around product sense started shifting. Shreyas didn’t just teach frameworks—he helped me remove the garbage from my thinking, making space for clearer, sharper product sense. What does that mean? You’ll have to take the course to find out šŸš€ If you’re serious about leveling up your product sense, I highly recommend it.

If you are a senior product professional willing to admit that your product thinking could be 10x better structured, then I cannot recommend Shreyas Doshi's 'Improving your Product Sense' course enough. This recommendation applies to engineers and designers, too. What justified the price for me was Shreyas' ability to produce active learning for a few hundred people cohort, and his dedication to lengthy AMAs to ensure every important question is answered. I'm not a hard follower of Shreyas' writing, but I wish more successful product people spent so much time decomposing how they think and training others to improve. Thank you!

Last month, I took Shreyas Doshi’ Product Sense class. It was a very enlightening course, which gave me a clearer lens on how to think and make strategic decisions at a higher level. I’m convinced that it’s a great course not just for Product Sense, but ā€œHow To Thinkā€ in general, a good antidote to a world where more and more people outsource their thinking to AI, and also a way to survive and win in it. I also really enjoyed Shreyas' unfiltered delivery šŸ˜†. I will be reviewing the material again and again to really internalize the lessons, there were so many gems in just ~1 week. Can’t recommend it enough!!

I just completed Shreyas Doshi's course, Improving Your Product Sense. What stood out most to me was not any specific framework, tool, or exercise. The course was focused on improving my own personal sense. My intuition. Deconstructing thought processes and getting to the bottom of what's really going on. It's easy to find a product class that covers frameworks and methodologies and analytical exercises. But this one covers creativity and taste. Check it out here: lnkd.in/gqYENweS Curious? Last week has been transformative for me. One of the biggest questions I’ve grappled with is: How much control do we really have over the success of our products? How much of it is driven solely on hope and luck? Or is the case of product management, as the popular OneDesk meme suggests, more like running around like headless roosters for bias for action? Thanks to Shreyas Doshi course on Improving Product sense, I can finally decompose how to increase the odds of success of my product. Why something didn't work the way I hoped for, is bit more clearer to me now. I will keep going back to the material to really absorb it in. lnkd.in/eKgPswmY

Officially a Shreyas Doshi fanboy after taking his Improve Your Product Sense course. It's been great to experience Shreyas decompose subjects like customer motivation, friction, taste, segmentation, product strategy etc. Whereas Reforge (which I also like) is expansive on frameworks, Shreyas strips concepts down to their essence and shows how he has used these core ideas to help his products win. Fair warning: Shreyas is a real character. Extremely frank. Intense. I appreciate that a lot, but do note that taking the course does require you to leave any ego at the door. There is zero sugar coating of anything. I warmly recommend the course to anyone motivated to go further in their product career. Feel free to ping me if you have questions ā˜ŗļø Course link:

Like many of you, I’m always looking for ways to stay ahead—keeping up with where tech and product management are heading. There are ways to do that: blogs, podcasts, books, a bunch of amazing AI tools that can extend your PM skills turning you into a product maker. But every now and then, something comes along that completely shifts the way you think. For me, that was Shreyas Doshi's Improving Your Product Sense course. I just finished an intense week of learning (including some brutal 2 AM sessions since I am based in the EU), and honestly? This is the best course I’ve ever taken. On any topic. The depth, the clarity, the real-world application—it’s all outstanding. I’ve already started rewatching the content, and I know I’ll keep coming back to it. Is your product strategy weighed down by outdated "garbage" – those ingrained beliefs about what works that hog your team's mindshare and prevent true innovation? šŸ¤” Just like we're told to finish everything on our plate, sometimes in product, we cling to ideas that no longer serve us. Shreyas Doshi's "Improving Your Product Sense" course on Maven brilliantly illuminated how to declutter my product thinking. A key takeaway? Effective positioning is paramount. You need to know where your product stands before you can understand who you're serving. Only then does customer segmentation truly drive your strategy. Understanding your nuanced user base allows for focused efforts and more impactful decisions. This isn't about chasing every shiny object; it's about deeply resonating with the right audience. And when it comes to crafting compelling products, my favourite aha moment was this: product taste is evaluative, not generative. It helps you assess what works and what doesn't. True breakthroughs, the non-obvious solutions, come from applying product creativity techniques throughout the entire process, including execution. This isn't a mechanical process; it's a nuanced understanding of human motivation, behaviour, and creativity. It's why, for now at least, Product Management remains an art – one that requires the very "Product Sense" Shreyas's course aims to cultivate. It's about making correct product decisions even amidst major ambiguity, a skill that people with good Product Sense are entrusted with. Ready to level up your product thinking and ditch the unnecessary baggage? Check out Shreyas Doshi's course on Maven to learn principles not found elsewhere and make more consistently successful product decisions. lnkd.in/dRDMesk9 #ProductManagement #ProductSense #Strategy #Innovation

Last week, I had the privilege of completing Shreyas Doshi’s Product Sense course. No doubt the course content is top notch, but what truly made it stick is Shreyas’s infectious energy and unique no-nonsense content delivery style. What do you think about when you hear the word "classic"? šŸŽµ For music lovers they might think of Beethoven or Mozart. šŸ“– For literature lovers they might think of Tolstoy. šŸ“½ļø For movie lovers they might think of the God father. As I wrapped up my "Improving Your Product Sense" by Shreyas Doshi this Sunday, I told myself: "This is what I consider classic when it comes to the teaching of product management as a craft and profession". Experience of the course itself is a lesson in product mastery, in various degrees and numerous details. I enjoyed it so much that it had become a distraction during the course, where I found myself trying to analyze how good the course is designed and executed from a product lens, thus had to pull back my thoughts in order to fully listen as a participant & learner, rather than as a product manager. If you 1) Strongly resonate with my view on tech and product (either via our co-working experience or via my sharing on LinkedIn); 2) Would like to deepen your understanding; 3) Consider yourself someone who is not afraid to handle uncomfortable truths; 4) Are willing to put down the time, energy and finance commitment needed (yes, this is the type of course that requires strong commitments and self-motivations) P.S. to my designers/engineers/biz & marketing friends: you don't have to be a product person to be able to benefit from this course, in fact, I think more non-product people should attend this course, for good product management only happens in a good tech culture. As long as you work in tech/have a good understanding of software product and how they are build in tech companies in your own domain. This course remains tremendously relevant for you. It is not for everyone, yet it is definitely for me and I know that it will be for many others. šŸ“š Consider this your modern "classical" purchase - the kind that is worth buying and keeping in your life.

I just completed this module of Shreyas Doshi's intensive course on Product Sense and it truly changed the way I approach product thinking. My biggest ā€œahaā€ moment was realizing that, with consistent practice of the course techniques and training my own ā€œLLM,ā€ I already have many of the answers to product challenges—I just need to prompt my thinking more effectively. Despite being online, it’s a live and highly interactive course. You get to answer Shreyas’s questions in real time, jump into breakout rooms with peers to tackle exercises, and then rejoin the main session to share insights. This approach keeps your mind active—thinking clearly is key, and you’re never just a passive observer. I can already applying what I learned to my own projects—especially the techniques for creative problem-solving, product strategy, etc. The emphasis on hands-on exercises and deep dives (rather than theory) helps you internalize the material quickly. Plus, you build a strong network with fellow participants, forming a supportive community. That’s why the ROI is huge: you finish the course with both sharpened product sense and meaningful connections for the future. If you want to sharpen your product sense and see the world through a more product-focused lens, I highly recommend enrolling in this course! The link: lnkd.in/deu6pvj7 lnkd.in/d6ZgEh_s

I just finished Shreyas' product sense course : lnkd.in/g9ZgTQMV It was intense 8 days, including the weekday classes, but I really enjoyed it for two reasons. 1. Decomposition of key concepts for product management. Especially for some high level concepts that are harder for me to grasp, it was helping me to understand them by breaking it down. (eg. PMF, Product positioning, Strategy, Segmentation) 2. New concepts/techniques to think about problem space. (eg. Product creativity techniques, Motivation theory, Jobs to be done framework) I plan to continue practicing the prompt questions from the training, so I can continue to improve my skill sets and product sense.

I just wrapped up a week taking Shreyas Doshi's course on Improving Your Product Sense. If you’re involved in building any kind of software product—whether as an engineer, PM, designer, or founder—and want to make better product decisions, I can highly recommend finding the time for this experience. Coming from an engineering background, I feel like I now have much more clarity on what it means to build great products, and I feel a newfound excitement for collaborating with my PM peers. Shreyas does a great job of coaching you into seeing the world with a different, product-focused lens, and also humorously teaches with brutal honesty about how to cut the BS and nonsense that creeps into organizations and clouds our decision-making. Beyond the course material, there’s also plenty of wisdom to be gained from the other participants in the cohort. Check out the course page here: lnkd.in/dNVt5Q_t

I just finished an intense 8-day course on Improving Your Product Sense by Shreyas Doshi and it was a masterclass. As a mid-career PM, I am constantly seeking ways to bring my best as I tackle some of the most interesting and challenging product problems. It's easy to feel like you know it all and have a set of tools / frameworks that I have used over the years, but it was so fun dismantling it all and starting from first principles to re-learn and love the art of product management. If you are a mid to senior career PM, I'd highly encourage you to take this class. While there are other services for hacking into jobs, this is the course for doing well in your job. Thank you, Shreyas Doshi for teaching us to think for ourselves! Link: lnkd.in/e5Q-u4Bx #ProductManagement #LifelongLearning #ImprovingYourProductSense

This is just a snippet of some of the ideas and concepts you will discuss in A LOT of detail when you take Shreyas' Product Sense class. One of my favorite sections was digging into positioning and segmentation — which are what he is touching on in this post. You can't design and build for everyone — it's a tough lesson to learn. Highly recommend folks to check out the course info over on Maven. I thoroughly enjoyed it (and learned a lot too)!

Product managers looking to up-level their skills, I highly recommend Shreyas Doshi's Improving Your Product Sense Class Product management is relatively new field, requiring a mix of analytical rigor, empathy, creativity and execution. Good PMs can impact their products in many ways, but at its core, successful PMs must posses Product Sense. Shreyas Doshi’s Improving Your Product Sense on Maven brilliantly demystifies this elusive skill. Drawing from first principles, Shreyas offers fresh, actionable insights while debunking common myths—even those prevalent in tier-1 Silicon Valley companies. What makes Shreyas' course truly exceptional is that he has proven his ways work. Prior to becoming a thought-leader in this space, Shreyas led a distinguished Product management career at Google, Twitter, and Stripe, where he’s shaped some of the most impactful products we use regularly. Yes, the course is an investment, but it’s worth every penny. Whether you’re a seasoned PM or early in your career, this class delivers practical value and transformative perspectives. If you’re serious about elevating your product management skills, I strongly encourage you to consider this course. It's no surprise it's been ranking # 1 on Maven. Kudos to Shreyas Doshi for setting a new standard in PM education!

I recently completed Shreyas Doshi's "Improving Your Product Sense" course, and I can't recommend it enough for those looking to elevate their product management skills. This isn't your typical product course. Shreyas Doshi delves deep into advanced concepts that challenge even experienced professionals. The hands-on, action-oriented approach ensures you're not just learning theory, but applying it in practical scenarios. What sets this course apart is its focus on refining product thinking at both micro and macro levels. Rather than relying solely on frameworks, it cultivates a nuanced product sense that's crucial for building successful products. Given Shreyas's impressive track record with top-tier companies, the insights shared are invaluable. This no-nonsense course is perfect for those serious about honing their craft and understanding what truly drives product success. P.S: Be prepared for an intensive experience. It's challenging, but the payoff is absolutely worth it! For more on this course: lnkd.in/ejQDs53w

Recently completed the Improving Your Product Sense course cohort led by Shreyas Doshi. For me, as an engineer, delving into product management was a natural progression when my workplace offered me this opportunity. The course provided valuable insights, merging real-world scenarios with economic theories. It reinforced my notion that engineers within product teams should broaden their focus beyond just technical aspects and teamwork. Applying problem-solving skills to the product side is crucial. While some sections like product manager interviews weren't directly applicable to my daily tasks, the course was overwhelmingly beneficial, with over 90% of the content being relevant. The examples were insightful, making the learning experience both enjoyable and motivating. Highly recommend it. #ProductSense #EngineeringMindset

Founder & CEO @ Leen

It’s a superpower of successful founders to be introspective and recognize their weaknesses. These founders either put in the work to upskill or surround themselves with people who can compensate for them. Even though I’ve built successful products throughout my career, I always felt I had room to improve my product thinking. This skill is non-negotiable for most founders, and being great at building products can mean the difference between building an impactful company and one that fails before finding PMF. I heard rave reviews about Shreyas Doshi’s Product Sense course and decided to enroll. I wanted to call out some of the things I've learned in an attempt to encourage other founders to check out the course: To begin with, the format of the course is exceptional: it’s skill-based, interactive, and engaging. Shreyas is straightforward and articulate. He anchors the concepts he introduces in real-world examples. Instead of over-indexing on popular frameworks and simply handing you the answers, he challenges you with prompts that help you arrive at them yourself. Shreyas does a great job of decomposing enigmatic concepts like product vision and taste into smaller, actionable chunks. Coming up with a product vision isn’t something just a gifted few product leaders are capable of, it’s a skill that can be honed over time. What also stood out to me is how much good product thinking involves anchoring decisions in customer motivation or shifting your focus to the demand side. Most product teams tend to default to supply side thinking (essentially trying to optimize their own processes/products) without asking the right questions: What do customers really need, and what motivates their decisions? I’ve already been able to leverage the learnings from the course to help shape the vision for Leen’s next chapter - building products for security teams (more to come on that soon). If you’re a founder or product person looking to take your product to the next level, you should consider this course.

Last week I went through Shreyas Doshi's "Improving your product sense" course and it was hands-down the most useful course I’ve ever taken. I’m generally skeptical of online courses, but this was unlike any other class. Instead of cookie-cutter frameworks you get a compass you can take with you for the rest of your career. It’s also very rare to get to learn from someone who’s done it at the highest level multiple times and is able to communicate his learnings in a way you can apply them. Tech Product Leader

A bit of a reflection: I always felt the transition from engineering to product management can be a bit like rewiring your brain or fine-tuning weights in your biological neural network. The need for pushing more led me to the "Improving Product Sense" course by Shreyas Doshi few weeks ago - and from that perspective, I can clearly say that it was time well spent. I found myself developing a deeper sense of empathy for customer needs, gradually shifting away from the supply-centric mindset that often comes naturally to those of us with engineering backgrounds. This reshaped my approach to product development, teaching me that true product sense extends far beyond seeking elegant technical solutions. I strongly recommend the course - and since Shreyas is a wonderful coach and speaker with a great sense of humor, a great time is guaranteed.

Engineering Manager at Synthesia

At Synthesia, we've just completed Shreyas Doshi's course on Improving Your Product Sense. I joined this year's first cohort, along with a number of engineering and product leaders from Synthesia. It was useful to be able to challenge each other on what we learned and apply it to our day-to-day. As an engineer, I wouldn't describe myself as the classic profile for the course. A few of the more domain-specific pieces were new to me (JTBD?!) but the material continued to be accessible. On top of the product learnings, I find myself applying some of the lessons in my engineering context too - not something I was expecting, but a nice surprise. If you want to learn more, here's a link to the course:
