Shreyas Doshi's World-Class Product Sense course

Ken Florentino

I just finished Shreyas Doshi's Product Sense course... the only product course to completely disrupt my thinking. When you hear the word "disruption," you probably tend to think about disruptive products, disruptive tech, disruptive business models, etc. Folks, this is disruptive product thinking. Shreyas will challenge every sacred (and likely incorrect) tenet you hold dear. And he'll do it with an instructive style unlike anything you've experienced before. But I promise: if you walk in with a beginner's mind and leave your ego at the door, you will walk out with a paradigm shift and a quality lift in your thinking. I can't promise that you or I will fully wield this new knowledge (and most definitely we won't do it nearly as well as Shreyas), but I can tell you that you will absolutely walk out with a glimpse into the matrix of world-class product thinking.

Last week, I took @shreyas Product Sense course, it was truly a PM masterclass. I had been a PM 20 years back and now a founder. So, was good to step back and revisit everything. Many new things learnt and many classified as “garbage” (internal joke). Shreyas packs in a

Last week, I took Shreyas Doshi's Product Sense course. It is by far the best education about product I’ve taken, and I wish more PMs in the industry would do the same. My only regret is not having done it sooner. Sounds vague - why is it good? Lots of reasons, but I'll call out 3: 1. It covers all the skills (yes, really) to do product *right* and goes especially deep into how to improve your clarity of thinking 2. It’s super practical - think ‘real talk’ and actual insights instead of frameworks that don’t work 3. You can apply the learnings to any kind of product decision - from high-level strategy to “should we do X or Y for this feature?” It's intense and not for everyone, but worth it for anyone in product or if you're a founder. I've noticed an instant improvement in my focus, thinking and communication. Link to the course: lnkd.in/dH5iF87X

I have always been hesitant about online courses. Most feel too generic and rarely translate into real-world impact after all, every situation and every product challenge is different. But after hearing rave reviews from friends, I decided to give this product sense course a shot. And I am so glad I did. The 8 days were intense, but they rewired how I think about product management. It genuinely felt like new neural pathways were being created - I now see problems and opportunities in a completely different light. Shreyas Doshi was raw, direct, and candid- so much so that at times it felt like he had been secretly observing me and then articulating the exact blind spots I needed to hear about. It was mind-blowing. I’m simply grateful that a course like this even exists. If you want clarity in your thinking and truly want to succeed with your product, I can’t recommend it enough. How often does your course instructor tell you this? "After this, unfollow me. Don’t take another one of my classes. I have taught you everything you need to know.”

🇺🇸 I just finished the Shreyas Doshi's Product Sense course and honestly… best course I’ve ever done. Actually, best educational experience I’ve had since college. His methodology is really solid, everything is well thought out, and I finally got to go deep on topics that in product are usually treated in a very superficial way (and full of “garbage”). I hadn’t done any course in a long time because I have this internal hypothesis: with tech and AI moving so fast, more “formal” education doesn’t feel that attractive anymore. And at the same time, it’s a huge challenge to find experiences that truly add value — not just push simplified frameworks and step-by-step recipes. I leave this week super energized, already seeing the impact on how I think and operate daily. And for sure I’ll revisit the material many times — it was intense, dense, and very rich.

---- There are two questions that occasionally trouble me when I think about my career. 1. Should I be pursuing some form of formal education to learn more and advance in my career? An MBA? A postgraduate degree? A product management course? 2. Should I be sharing what I’ve learned throughout my career so far? Last week, following recommendations from people I trust, I took the course "Improving Your Product Sense" by Shreyas Doshi and came to conclusions about both questions. For the first one, it was somewhat obvious that the course would be helpful, but to my surprise, it also addressed the second. The way Shreyas teaches and the course content are unlike anything I’ve seen in the product world. It’s not about teaching a bunch of theoretical concepts that look good on paper but don’t work in real life. It’s a direct approach with practical, applicable knowledge. So yes, there are formal education "products" that will contribute to my growth. But after this course, I am absolutely certain it’s not "just any" course that will make a difference. Additionally, one thing that deeply impacted me during the course is that it’s not about sharing knowledge superficially; it’s about sharing content that I truly connected with, content that changed the way I think. Therefore, regarding the second question, I’ve come to the conclusion that it doesn’t make sense for me to share something unless it genuinely connects with and deeply impacts others, just like Shreyas’s course did.

Spent the past 8 days of summer with Shreyas Doshi in his Product Sense course. If you work in Product, it honestly feels like a cheat code. Shreyas is raw, real, and unflinchingly clear. He’ll make you realize how much you’ve been overcomplicating things and how often you're the one in your own way. How many classes end with the instructor saying: "After this, unfollow me. Don’t take another one of my classes. I’ve taught you everything you need to know." Grateful for the clarity and insight from one of the sharpest minds in the field!

There are very few moments in life, when you become acutely aware of the transformation you are going through. Most of the time, it’s something we look back at and feel good/bad about. This week, I witnessed it firsthand as a part of Shreyas Doshi's phenomenal Product Sense course. Truly exhilarated and amazed! It sounds counterintuitive to admit on a professional social platform that I cannot remember the last time in my life; when I was glued to every session, every minute, every learning, a course had to offer. I absolutely loved how he taught us to view product sense, product strategy, influence, through clear & intuitive thinking, coupled with understanding human behavior. All I can say is - This course has changed the lens through which I will view the world & engage with, happily every after 🙂. P.S. : For folks who are close to me, know about my love of scuba diving. The last time I felt so elated was after our dives in Raja Ampat (the mecca of diving), with the sad realization that no other place in the world will match up to that diving experience. I have similar feelings today - I might not have the privilege of learning so much, so fast, ever again. Truly grateful!

“If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough.” is a popular quote often attributed to Albert Einstein. There are only so many instances in your career that one encounters something that allows them to appreciate the spirit of this statement. Shreyas Doshi’s Improving Your Product Sense course (lnkd.in/e5NmKggE) is unequivocally one of those instances. Over the last week, I had the privilege of being a part of one of its cohorts. Shreyas has masterfully condensed his product development, strategy, and advisory experience into a high-density course that does more than just deliver. It laid out the fundamentals required for product success in simple yet powerful no-fluff concepts backed by real-world examples, and provided a refreshing perspective on product, customers, and the market. Finally, it reminded me that the key to product success is yours for the taking, but only if you want it bad enough. Just completed Shreyas Doshi's Improve Your Product Sense Course. At first, I wasn’t sure how relevant it would be to my current role (not a PM) but spoiler 🚨: 8 days and 30+ hours were worth it. Here are a few takeaways: 💡 Creativity isn’t just innate - I always thought creative people were born that way, but this course showed how creativity can be learned and trained (+ like many other skills) 💡 Frameworks don’t guarantee success - A clear process and strategy matter, but understanding what we’re trying to achieve is what drives true outcomes. 💡 Think before execute - This helps clarify successes and failures. It’s not about rushing to conclusions, but taking the time to understan the problem deeply first. Excited to apply these at Zapia AI and in my daily life. It’s not just about data or retention - understanding user needs and aligning with vision and strategy will lead to great products. 🚀

Just wrapped up 8 intense days of Shreyas Doshi’s Product Sense course. Sleep cycle: wrecked. Mental models: refreshed. Product perception: completely flipped. A few truths that stuck: • No matter where you are, the constraints stay the same—people, process, pushback. • Product building is a sense, and *it is hard* to explain it to others - can’t expect everyone to get it the way you get it • Books help, frameworks guide—but building products is organic and beyond any 5-step approach • Listen better. Build better. You don’t need to prove that you’re the smartest person in the room. The course lives up to the hype—for the content, and the no-nonsense delivery (pun intended, #iykyk 👀). In fast-paced, resource-constrained environments that product managers often find themselves in, it’s easy to fall into a ‘formulaic’ approach to building products. Last week, I completed the Product Sense course by Shreyas Doshi. Initially, I hesitated to sign up, thinking it might be more of the same. Fortunately, I chose to move forward. The course does an excellent job of transforming concepts that often feel abstract into clear and actionable components. As the course progressed, I was able to apply some of the concepts directly to my work. The improvement in my day-to-day product decisions gave me a real sense of progress. If you're looking to sharpen your thinking and make better product decisions, I highly recommend it. lnkd.in/dcVSrvwZ

Great product strategy. All sustainably successful products have it. How do you create it? I just wrapped up an intensive 1-week course led by Shreyas Doshi on Product Sense with over 200 global product leaders. It was time well spent. The quality of the course content speaks for itself - the depth of decomposition on the topic, the clarity of thought and the filtering out of fluff to provide actionable insights was unparalleled. I just finished the Shreyas Doshi Product Sense course and it has been an amazing experience as a Product Manager. In just one week, it changes the way you think: it helps you observe better, make decisions with more intention and develop more accurate judgment. What's interesting isn't just what's new, but how it moves you to think differently about what you already thought you knew. Of course, Shreyas' style is not for everyone. It's not a collection of frameworks or a repertoire of success stories. It is an amendment to the canonical way of thinking about product. It also requires time and focus. If you are considering doing so, I am happy to share my experience. In August there is another edition lnkd.in/dU28nVSC

There are few folks in the product world who make me "think" and scale up like Shreyas Doshi does. Took his product sense course last week and was not surprised at all in some ways being a second time student. He has a gift for turning deep insight into refreshingly simple yet career elevating ideas (and no frameworks, they are 'nonsense').

Just completed Shreyas Doshi's Product Sense Course. As an early-stage founder figuring out PMF, I was skeptical how helpful it could be for me. Turns out - it is 100% of what I need at this point of time. Going through the course greatly leveled up my quality of thinking and helped me uncover insights from past and present experiences. And I'm confident that what I've learned will help me along in the future and in navigating the nebulous maze of finding PMF. I cannot recommend it enough. Check it out here: lnkd.in/gxAP_mPb

To be effective, you need focus. To gain focus, you must learn to remove noise from signal. Shreyas Doshi Product Sense course helped me do exactly that. The content was no nonsense, practical, and evidence based. No fluff! If you’re a product leader who wants to coach and grow world class teams, start by investing in yourself. That’s where the transformation begins. lnkd.in/g_3BC4Wu

Over the past 8 days, I’ve invested around 30 hours learning from Shreyas Doshi on lnkd.in/gcsRky38. It’s been a breath of fresh air. There was nothing performative about the experience. Every moment was thoughtfully crafted. In fact, the course itself is a masterclass in building a high-quality product: intentional, focused, and deeply human. My biggest takeaway? The quality of our thinking is our greatest advantage, especially in an AI-native world. We often look outward for answers, but we need to trust our inner compass more. Clear, first-principles thinking is the real differentiator, and it always has been. Another gift from the course was the community. I connected with thoughtful, like-minded professionals across industries and geographies. Many of these are folks I hope to collaborate with in the future.

This past week, I had the opportunity to attend "Improving Your Product Sense" course by Shreyas Doshi on Maven! It was nothing like a traditional course on frameworks or best practices. It cut through noise and myths, replacing them with clear, actionable thinking models rooted in experience and empathy. There were innumerable eye opening "AHA!" moments, some of them painfully revealing the costly product and career mistakes often stemming from inaccurate understanding of what product sense truly is. The depth of learning here far surpasses anything many of us can come across, after years of building products. Thank you Shreyas, for creating the one course, with a lasting impact, that goes far beyond the products we create. 📈 lnkd.in/gZVtwJMw #productsense #productmanagement #growthmindset #ShreyasDoshi

Product Sense course by Shreyas Doshi is a unique product course that teaches product leaders how to think clearly versus "process" or "frameworks". It gives you the realization that you can make frameworks and processes if you develop high quality thinking. In the world of AI tools, creativity and quality of thinking is what will determine competitive edge. Going through this super intense experience was very worthwhile. There are some things you should just experience. A few years back I took a 10 day silent meditation retreat (Vipassana). People ask me about it all the time. I explain, but I struggle to describe that experience in a way that I can do justice. You simply need to experience it.

Took a Product Sense course with Shreyas Doshi this week. 10/10 would recommend. If you know me, I am a strong believer in creativity, clear thinking, rejection of templates and great rituals to invite perspective and critique to be able to strive for your best. Despite this motivation that I have, this course pushed me even further on even the things I already care about. I wish I took this course 10 years ago and have lessons I will apply everyday from now on. You are not too senior or too experienced to take this course.

I’ve always firmly believed that no course can truly teach Product Management, and I’ve taken my fair share of them. However, Shreyas Doshi has completely shattered that notion with a course that teaches you *how* to think and delves deep into the real-world skills needed to become a product leader. I can’t recommend it highly enough!
