Took this great course with Shreyas Doshi last weekend, highly recommend! Who knew that 10 hours on zoom over the weekend could be so engaging (really!)

I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to participate in Shreyas Doshi's incredible course about managing your PM career. A weekend very well-spent - cannot recommend it enough if you're an experienced product leader looking to think more intentionally and strategically about current and future roles. The Maven platform was fun to explore, too!

Shreyas Doshi's Maven course for product leaders this past weekend was THE best ~12 hours I’ve spent in a long time, ingesting content that I’m confident I’ll continue to revisit time and again. I’m still processing my notes - there’s so much to unpack and absorb.
While I could attempt to wax eloquent on how the course content forced me to think (a LOT), had high signal:noise (in typical Shreyas style) etc., I'd rather point you to my cohort peer, Rohan Kamath, who has done a fantastic job articulating what the 200+ strong cohort experienced in his post below.
The easiest recommendation from me: Go, sign up for the upcoming cohort. RUN, before the slots fill out. You’ll not be disappointed!

Attended Shreyas Doshi's PM career management course this month and found it to be extremely impactful - loved his POV of looking at career beyond the unidimensional vertical ladder growth path and instead also considering growing by exploration of interests and skills (the "Map" approach).
I also 100% resonated with his framing of communication as a force multiplier for one's career and how it can elevate ALL other PM skills. "Editing" "as a leadership communication strategy was a new one that I became more cognizant of!
Can't wait to start putting the strategies I learnt to practice and leveraging the personalized career plan that he helped me develop through the sessions. The course was overall packed with a ton of valuable insights, advice, and was well worth the time and investment - would highly recommend if you are considering registering for a future cohort!

As product folks, we often fail to manage our own careers.
This weekend I had the pleasure of joining several others to learn strategies, frameworks and tactics for how to intentionally manage my career from Shreyas Doshi. I wanted to share it for those looking to do the same. It's worth the investment. Next cohort is in July!

This is a delayed posting. Last month, I participated in the PM career management course conducted by Shreyas Doshi. The course was fast paced and truly valuable. In two days of high activity (view it as 4 quick sprints really :) ), the course provides valuable frameworks towards managing your career. I was able to view my learnings of the past decade, and the mistakes I made through a more distilled & constructive lens.
Most recommended for all PMs, early career or mid-career

Last weekend, I joined a cohort of industry leading senior product managers for 2-day workshop with Shreyas Doshi. It’s the most valuable time I spent and gained invaluable insights into the strategic decision making approaches to product career. With the year ending, Shreya’s hard truths help me reflect back into the year and plan for a tactical approach to my career growth. Highly recommend for anyone looking to elevate their PM career!

For senior product folks looking to find the right opportunity or grow in your current role, I could not recommend Shreyas Doshi's ‘Managing your PM Career’ course more. The weekend-long course prepared by Shreyas is packed with actionable takeaways and perspectives that left me feeling much more confident about how to best craft my career in product.

I don't really post here often, but I spent this weekend taking Shreyas Doshi's course Managing your PM Career in 2024 and beyond, and wanted to share some thoughts:
First off: What Shreyas has done for my growth is nothing short of exceptional. Over the years I've come to see him as a mentor and coach. All of his content - from his subscriber only tweets, in-person talks and now this course have been super insightful and made me more effective at work. His wisdom is incredibly impactful - for one's career and "life-stuff" as well.
The course itself was an exceptional experience, showcasing Shreyas' signature deep insights into nuanced PM topics, clear thinking, and methods to improve one's effectiveness.
11/10 would recommend to any ambitious and talented senior product person.
My one and only regret is that I didn't take it sooner.

This weekend, I was part of Shreyas Doshi's PM Career Management Jan cohort. I highly recommend this course for PMs looking to become more intentional about their careers — focusing on setting career goals, growing PM competencies, and crafting a product career that combines joy, growth, and success.
What set this course apart was its interactive nature: There was dedicated time for us to develop actionable steps towards our career goals and then discuss these with our peers for insightful feedback. The highlight of the course was undoubtedly the honesty and candor Shreyas brought to the discussions, coupled with his commitment to providing top-tier PM guidance. I enjoyed connecting with a PM community that was highly engaged in sharing feedback and resources, maintaining a high energy throughout the weekend.

Shreyas Doshi covered many "advanced" topics I've only previously gleaned 1:1 from seasoned leaders. Goldmine for both authentically reflecting on your own goals but also tactical tips in job search. Highly recommend it for mid/late career pm's.

I am very intentional when it comes to professional development. In December I attended Shreyas Doshi's workshop and it was an incredible way to get clarity on career management. My head was exploding with "Do I want to manage people?", "Do I want to be an IC?", "What do I actually enjoy doing?", "What paths are even possible?", "Are we all doomed in tech in 2023?". It was also a great way to get to know fellow product leaders and connect. Shoutout to Kirsten Nantz for inviting me to attend together 💫

With all the turmoil going on in tech these days, I wanted to share a fantastic career development workshop run by Shreyas Doshi focused specifically on senior PM leaders. I was part of Shreyas's inaugural cohort and would highly recommend it.
Shreyas is on the shortlist of PM leaders I follow closely, and I found the wisdom and in-the-trenches advice he shared to be of exceptionally high quality. And, as someone who has always been passionate about helping PMs hone their craft while becoming more intentional and balanced human beings in the process, I appreciated how Shreyas brought his experience as a father into conversations around full-afterburner career advancement vs. being a present, balanced human being who is exceptional at (and energized by) what they do.
Here's a link to get notified about Shreyas's next cohort for anyone who's interested: lnkd.in/grw-iy3U
As a reminder, I'm happy to connect with and support PM/eng/design folks affected by recent tech layoffs or otherwise contemplating major decisions in their own career journeys. I've been incredibly fortunate and privileged to have had my own share of amazing mentors and coaches from my days running startups to large tech orgs. I'm always eager to be a resource for others as much as time permits. #careerdevelopment #productmanagement

Last weekend, I took Shreyas Doshi's Managing your PM career course, available on Maven.
The ~10-hour course spanned everything from finding the right companies to managing your network and even expanding impact in your current role.
There are very few courses that cater to Product leaders, and in a remote world, even fewer opportunities to connect with others in this space.
Aside from the (fantastic) advice we received from Shreyas, my favorite part was meeting so many other Product Leaders across the world. I've even connected with 3 of them since the course ended on Sunday.
I would highly recommend taking the course, it is time well spent.
Final thoughts - be intentional about your career, and treat it like you would treat your product. No one else will do it for you.
Thanks for the mentorship Shreyas Doshi!

Shreyas Doshi's thoughtfully designed and masterfully delivered PM career workshop is the best time I spent so far this year. It gets at the heart of all - what is important to you, what are your lighthouse goals in a certain time horizon. It really reminds me to self reflect more often and examine if what I am doing help me get closer to my lighthouse goals.
In addition, we (yes there is an amazing cohort of senior PMs from all walks of life) all walk away equipped with a set of practical and tactical frameworks to use to design and manage our career development.
I 1000% recommend this! #careerdevelopment

Absolutely no regrets on doing a weekend seminar in December with the legend Shreyas Doshi on managing your PM career.
It was extremely engaging - got to hear live from Shreyas, access to his convos with product leaders, and exercises to help us think about our careers. He provided helpful guides/templates and all the extended recordings of his private convos with leaders. I've already gone back several times to leverage the content.
As a manager of PMs, it was also helpful content I can use with my team to help them grow. Highly recommend to seasoned PMs and Product leaders. Thank you Shreyas Doshi!

Last month I had the chance to take Shreyas Doshi course on managing your PM career. I can't recommend it enough. Instead of providing boilerplate tips, he push us to think about what we want out of our career and offered frameworks to guide us to reach our goals.
I continue to watch his interviews with the best Product Leaders and Product Executive Recruiters (these can only be viewed if you take the course). There is real unique insight that each provides as you think about your next role and your longer term career ambitions.
It was a great investment to support me in my current search and future ones as well. If you are a PM or Product Leader at any level, it is well worth the investment.

If you're ambitious and looking to boost your PM career -> this is the course.
Shreyas is very engaging, super real and actionable in the advice he shares. Beyond the advice/coaching, you will also come out of it with resources and information that are actually not widely shared online. Overall, a great way to invest in yourself.

I took it myself and, like anything that Shreays puts out, it's amazing. Definitely worth your time and money.
Tip: if you don't have the ability to pay for it right now, try getting a reimburse from your employer. It will definitely be ROI positive for the company.

I have been a longtime follower of Shreyas Doshi on Twitter (he might be the only reason I check Twitter these days). Finally joined Shreyas’s PM career seminar last weekend and loved every second of it. Packed with insights and advice highly relevant to the current environment. I just completed Shreyas Doshi’s amazing course this weekend. Can’t recommend it enough - worth every penny, and I believe you’ll find it to be an extremely valuable investment in yourself.
This is not a rehash of the most common PM thought leadership content you’ll find all over the internet.
Shreyas is incredibly candid and his clarity of thought and approachable communication style is unique. It comes with a ton of resources and it is focused on actionable insights, tough love, and doing the work - not ideology.
Not to mention immediately expanding your network by 200-300+ inspiring senior to exec level product folks who are deeply passionate about being great and lifting up those in their network seeking greatness as well.
The next cohort is in July - feel free to hit me up if you have questions about the course and are trying to decide whether or not to sign up (do it!)

I have been an ardent follower of Shreyas Doshi for some time now, for sheer depth and authenticity of the content he posts. However, I kept postponing attending his course (designed to help PMs progress into leaders) for quite some time now.
I finally took the leap over this weekend, and I am so glad I did! Here are my key takeaways and I highly recommend this for all the ***product-enthusiasts (beginners/seniors/leaders)*** in my network:
1. Being accountable for one's own career:
Stop blaming the Org politics, the Managers, the peers, the college (sometimes even the high school!) for your progress in career.
I only feel more equipped post the workshop to start taking charge - the frameworks, resources, communication guidelines and the PM network shared - are all very exciting.
2. “It depends” is not an answer:
I have not heard “it depends on your situation” as an answer to even a single question in the AMA through last 2 days.
Every question is answered to a great depth and detail. This ability to structure the thoughts and break down any level of ambiguity - is the primary skill I need to practice in my communication.
3. Stop being a baby:
I am glad someone said this loud to me! I have been blessed with best of the managers in my career, along with the incredible warmth & support of ISB alumni in India.
Post moving to US in last 2 years, I got into my own distractions, and been assuming that finding “The mentor!” who sponsors is the solution for everything.
Well, my course correction this weekend - look for "Mentor to help for specific gaps" and the onus is still on me to build awareness of my skill-gaps and seek help with specific asks for my "light house goals".

Over the weekend, I took Shreyas Doshi's course on Managing your PM career in 2023 & beyond. It was packed with insights covering the long-arc of one's career to the tactical next steps to take today. I can't say enough good things about it.
For PMs interested in learning from the master himself, stay on the lookout for the next cohort. If you don't already follow Shreyas, you're missing out.

I just completed Shreyas Doshi's course this weekend and am in compelete awe of his masterclass. Highly recommend if you are looking to uplevel and ready to work on yourself.
He provides simple and clear frameworks to navigate the seemingly complex path to senior/leadership roles.
Shreyas is incredibly candid and his no BS straight talk is exactly what is needed in the world today. The course also gave access to tons of good resources including exclusive talks with leaders and also introduces you to quality PMs/Leaders across the world.
The next cohort is in July(link added below) - feel free to hit me up if you have questions about the course or thinking to take it.

For those that are navigating the middle of their PM careers:
I had the fortune of attending Shreyas Doshi's course on managing your PM career. It's hard to capture the entirety of my experience but I can simply say this: it's a brutally honest perspective on advancing your PM career that is hard to get (if not, impossible) to obtain from your own company. I loved how important aspects of your PM career are decomposed into achievable milestones / goals / skills. I'm looking forward to applying them going forward.

I had the privilege to attend Shreyas Doshi's career seminar over the weekend. It was the single most insightful, helpful, and practical conversation I have heard on navigating a career in product (especially if you're ambitious).
I would recommend to any product leader who meets any of the following criteria:
1. Wants to understand more in's and out's of navigating positions in great product companies.... by someone with repeated, high-level success and no time for BS
2. Is interested in continually improving their product skills in a meaningful way
3. Wants to learn how to better evaluate companies for their career
4. Feels mixed or unclear on how to think about career and life
5. Wants to hear a world class communicator and thinker
6. Feels very curious to learn more after reading this post (because if this has really peaked your curiosity, I imagine these topics mean enough to you that it's worth your time)

Just had the most incredible(and intense) 2 days diving deep into the world of product management with Shreyas Doshi. Honestly, the depth of information, insights and tips he dropped were just mind-blowing! 🤯 It was like a truth bomb extravaganza 💣 that left us all inspired.
But here's the best part - We got to connect with the best PMs from top product companies around the world! 🌍🌟 We became fast friends and It's amazing how much we learned from each other in such a short time. (Hope you agree Ruslan Nazarenko, Benoît des Ligneris Parminder Chhabra Mounica Sirineni 🙌 😁 )
Big thanks to Shreyas for sharing his wisdom and expertise.

I'm a huge admirer of Shreyas Doshi and the invaluable frameworks he shares. Just last weekend, I had the opportunity to participate in the 'Managing your PM Career' course on Maven, and it truly was an eye-opening experience.
Once again, Shreyas' magical approach to frameworks enabled me to grasp the fundamental concept of 'How to approach my career and plan for its success.' Throughout the course, I gained actionable insights into career planning and learned how to excel as a top 1% PM. Moreover, the course dispelled numerous myths related to career, role, and company selection, providing me with a treasure trove of knowledge that I can carry with me on my professional journey.
I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Shreyas Doshi for offering this course and dedicating his time to helping us grow in our careers. Without a doubt, I confidently recommend this course to all serious PM professionals out there—you won't regret it.

Enjoyed Shreyas Doshi ‘s two day workshop last weekend on PM career, targeted towards senior PMs and above. Highly engaging and infused with Shreyas’s unique style of distilling complex topics into simple, actionable diagrams.
Especially good for mid level and above PMs who want some dedicated time to think about PM career trajectory, how to find good roles, how make career decisions, how to choose the right role, and how to grow (both skill wise and the recognition for it).
One of my main goals was to upskill in coaching and teaching other PMs, and I learned a lot from observing how Shreyas communicates and engages with the students. He is one of the few PM KOLs who penetrate beyond the tactics (the Shu 术) and get to the underlying principles (the Dao 道) of thinking about a fulfilling career. “Guru” is an overrused term but Shreyas deserves this title in its original sense.

Was aware of body of knowledge by @shreyas (Being a super follower)
Yet learnt a lot new from "Managing your PM career" (Not even a professional PM)
Loved candid conversations & AMA
One takeaway I loved was "Focus on competence above all else (specially vanity metrics)"

I had the chance of taking @shreyas' Maven course a couple of weeks ago and can say it's by far the best resource and experience I've had around the Product craft and how to truly be deliberate when designing your Product career.

Last week, I attended Shreyas Doshi’s course on Managing your product career and it was an insightful and wisdom packed session. I have been following his content on LinkedIn/Twitter for couple of years now and always wanted an opportunity to dive deeper and ask more questions - live sessions with Shreyas provided with just that with lots more to offer. The course wasn’t just incremental value, it was significantly high value to identify the type of product leader I am and ways to continuing growing in this space. As master of the craft, Shreyas has an optimized flow with content for 10+ hours with right mix of inspiration and reality, he is not afraid to share contrarian views and as a product leader dives deep in each topic with principles first, then range of tips to choose from and real-life examples to back up the advice. For every discussion, Shreyas provided a spectrum (with tons of resources) instead of black and white choices that benefits the many individuals who joined his course. Thank you for designing this course!

Recently I had the chance to attend Shreyas Doshi's PM Career Management course. It's is an excellent resource for anyone interested in advancing their product management career especially those who are looking beyond just breaking into product management, but those who want to lead teams and build product organizations. Shreyas is a master strategist who provides a comprehensive and nuanced approach to navigating your career map, beyond just getting a bigger salary and bigger title. The course provides valuable insights and frameworks helping attendees identify what they want from their careers in this field and how to go about achieving exactly that. Big bonus, you will meet a fantastic cohort of PMs like no where else. #productmanagement

Just finished @shreyas’s course and impressed with how relatable he was and nuanced his points were. He never framed anything as black/white, but instead encouraged a way to navigate different issues thoughtfully with intentionality. Pretty key not just in product but in life.

I’ve been quietly following Shreyas Doshi on Twitter for about a year, and recently saw someone post a rave review about their experience in his course "Managing Your PM Career". As part of my 2023 intention to continue investing in myself, I took the plunge and joined the latest cohort last weekend. I came out of the course feeling “wow, that was intense”. And no, it wasn’t because of Zoom fatigue but because of the extraordinary number of lightbulb moments that helped me reflect on my career/life journey so far, and how I’ll direct my journey moving forward. Sign-ups for the next cohort are open here! lnkd.in/gVhpTgV9

I took Shreyas Doshi's course "Managing Your PM Career In 2023 & Beyond" a few weeks ago. I'm only writing about it now because I needed the time to synthesize why this course is crucial. On the surface, you get to hear Shreyas live and learn about frameworks and tactics that only his clients learned in their 1:1 coaching sessions. But on a deeper level, you will learn about a winning mindset.
Building a successful product management career starts with mindset. Your mindset is your mental attitude and approach to life and work, and it shapes how you perceive, process, and respond to information and challenges. In the context of product management, it means being able to adapt to change, think critically and creatively, and collaborate effectively with others. By cultivating the right mindset, you'll be able to approach challenges with confidence, clarity, and purpose. You'll be more resilient in the face of setbacks, more open to new ideas, and more effective in your communication and leadership. That's why Shreyas' course goes beyond just teaching you what to do. He also teaches you how to think about and approach the most common challenges that product managers face, so you can develop the right mindset for success. With his wisdom and a new mindset, you'll be equipped to tackle any challenge that comes your way and achieve your career goals.

I've been following Shreyas Doshi for awhile now.
To the point where I listened to all (?!) podcasts with him as a guest. I subscribed to his premium Twitter. And was disappointed by the fact he doesn't have a Substack.
These past few days I was pumped, thrilled and excited to be part of his Maven's cohort - Managing your PM Career in 2023 & beyond (link in the comments).
I'm still shocked tbh by all the information, recommendations, and tips that were provided. Not to mention additional resources, an amazing community, and an intense format.
I honestly can't recommend it enough and am speechless still.
We're chatting with folks from Netflix, Uber, Amazon, Google (to name a few) in these next couple of days to share our insights, create an ongoing groups to help and support each other along the way.
And this is much more than just helping with resumes or general advices. It's more like coaching sessions with some of the most talented and ambitious people out there.
If you feel like there's more you can do in terms of your work as a PM, and your career in general - you sign up and thank me later!
HMU if you need additional recommendations!

Last weekend I participated in Shreyas Doshi's PM Career course and I was astonished how much impactful content and advice he and his team managed to pack into two days.
I usually learn by reading and doing, however getting the best tips from a master in the art of product management was transformational. I will definitely be applying some of the learnings from this workshop into my management and mentorship practice for a long time.

I spent the weekend in Shreyas Doshi's "Managing Your PM Career" course alongside a HUGE group of experienced product leaders and there are 3 important things you should know:
1. Shreyas makes this 2-day intensive course a place to engage and share in a VERY open and honest way, so to encourage that openness from himself and everyone else, the #1 rule is - What happens in “Managing Your PM Career”, stays in “Managing Your PM Career”.
Even though I can’t share details, I can tell you how I felt emerging from this course:
💡 Enlightened
🤩 Motivated
💪 Empowered
😃 Invigorated
🧗♀️ Determined
🤯 And tired! My brain is very full. So much more information and solid gold insights than I could have imagined.
2. This is not about being a better PM, upskilling as a leader, or refining your craft. This is about you.
It's about you, as a product leader (Sr. PM and up), being the key driver of your #career and understanding how to intentionally choose it, build it, and navigate it. 🎯
It feels a bit like a #careercoach and a no-frills, no-BS life coach who challenges your thinking and what you think you know, and shows you how to get it done, while including a bonus swift kick in the pants. 👟⃯👖
3. Shreyas is not human. I think that’s important to know.
💪 Or maybe he's superhuman because I have no idea how he maintained the high energy and drive he needed to blaze through this 2-day highly intensive course without skipping a beat.
I think maybe his passion for product management, leadership, and careers feeds him like a battery 🔋 because there is never a dull moment. You’re thinking “I don’t know if I can make it through 5-6 hours a day” and then you blink and the day has almost ended and your mind has been blown several times. It’s crazy.

🎯 If you fit the target audience for this course, this is a solid investment and I highly recommend it. If you’re not sure if this is for you, follow these steps:
1️⃣ Check out “Who is this course for” on Maven (link in comments) and ask yourself “Is this me?” If yes, then…
2️⃣ Check out the course content list and ask yourself “Do I think I know everything about these topics already?” If yes, then tell yourself that’s silly and there’s no way you know everything in Shreyas’ head so proceed to step 3…
(In all seriousness, what you know about moving through your IC PM career is not going to help you chart your PM leadership career. There is likely new insight here for you.)
3️⃣ If you’ve made it to step 3, this is a good investment for you! (If you are currently looking or planning to find a new PM leadership role, this is a GREAT INVESTMENT for you.) 💎
📅 This course is only provided once a quarter so sign up for the October course before it's filled!

Just completed a course this weekend with Shreyas Doshi on managing your (PM) career. While the course is explicitly targeted towards PMs, a lot of the content is REALLY helpful for all leadership positions (I'm Engineering inclined myself). He provides thoughtful and thorough frameworks on how to think about your life priorities, goals, strategic and day-to-day career management, messaging and EVERYTHING in between. Best of all, it's grounded in reality and not cookie cutter advice that's pervasive on social media. I encourage everyone to invest in your career and register for his future cohorts here - lnkd.in/gK-J_Ey3
If the price tag gives you pause, consider that it will pay back many times over as soon as your next promotion discussion with your manager (which is one of the things he will talk about). If you would like to talk to someone who has taken the course, I'm happy to be that person.

I spent the weekend with @shreyas and 250ish other Product leaders. The amount of gold I picked up was well worth the hours and the cost. Get on the wait list.

This course was clutch and one of the best courses I have taken. As a result, I am as prepared as I can be for my product career in 2023 and beyond!

I enjoyed Shreyas Doshi's "Managing your PM Career" course last weekend. If only I had taken this back in January! His immediately actionable advice for those searching for jobs could have shortened my own career break considerably.
That said, it's still valuable for any experienced product manager seeking to be more of a leader and coach. I personally feel very equipped to coach my own future team on their careers (and will definitely direct them toward this course).
Signups are available for the next session in October: lnkd.in/gZBgtj9g

If you’re an experience PM or Product Leader, I highly recommend @shreyas' PM Career course. He shares so many insights, applicable to Europe as well + you will get to meet highly qualified peers. twitter.com/shreyas/status/1619498389317754882

Before the break, finished Shreyas Doshi's course. My key take-away: When in doubt, pick the company with the best people
Very actionable and real topics around managing your product career: ranging from honing your product chops, making career choices, evaluating and flourishing at top product companies.

I just finished Shreyas Doshi's fantastic course - Managing your PM Career. Great content, great community.
What differentiated this course for me is - like all great products - it focuses on creating new, impactful behaviors. It has theory, context, frameworks, sure. But they are all in support of creating tangible outcomes.
And the community is simply stellar.

Last weekend I took Shreyas Doshi's course on Managing your PM career in 2023 & beyond. I loved how thoughtfully Shreyas has put together this course with relevant content from his long and eventful PM career. I also appreciated his authentic responses to our questions. It was two days well spent, I highly recommend this course to fellow PMs.

It's 2023, and as a product leader and technology worker of 20+ years, there are only two periods to which I can compare today's environment - the early 2000's dot-com crash, and the late 2000's global financial crisis.
In both of those periods, I found strength in my network, by staying positive and optimistic, by remaining confident in my own skills and abilities, while seeking to help friends and colleagues in any way possible (and was definitely helped by many, many people who might be reading this post).
But just as important, I stayed committed to learning, growing, and seeking out challenging problems to solve. Our industry is one of constant change, and every so often we are reminded that change is the only constant.
To that end, I wanted to share with you a recent career-related seminar I participated in over the holiday break - Shreyas Doshi's "Managing Your PM Career in 2023 and beyond". I found it not just a useful 'refresher', but it also provided strong, actionable tactics which I'm already putting to use, and consider it relevant to people who are both in a current product role, or looking for what's next. The next cohort date is TBD, but you can learn more at the following Maven link. #productmanagement #career #learning

In the end, taste is care: caring for the user, caring for your craft, and caring about the end result." - Loredana Crisan, Chief Design Officer, Figma.
This statement resonates deeply with me. I recently had the opportunity to reconnect with the concept of "taste" during Shreyas Doshi's "Advanced Product Taste" workshop last weekend.
Learning becomes enjoyable and impactful when the instructor has real-world experience and delivers practical, interactive content. I am grateful for the chance to attend this session and acquire methods that I can implement immediately in my craft.

Last month I joined Shreyas Doshi's Product Sense course and it changed the way I think about product work. I set aside two weekends to immerse myself and learn hands-on with a likeminded group of folks. The material and lessons go deep, I have already rewatched several specific topics, with many skills immediately useful to put into practice. A great reminder that making space and time to think deeply is critical amidst all the noise.

More than a decade in product, and Shreyas Doshi's Product Sense course reframed things I thought were settled and opened my eyes to ideas I hadn't considered at all. I've spent my entire career in B2B and B2G serving Fortune 500 and government clients with executive-level customers across various industries.
Building real customer understanding, which is the foundation of excellent product sense, is genuinely hard at that level. As a Product Lead, you have to earn insight without the title or the calendar access. I picked up concrete strategies for doing exactly that. The best part is not frameworks but judgment.
Highly recommend it for PMs with years of experience who want to sharpen their product sense.

✨ Reflective Moment ✨
It's been a week and some change since I finished Shreyas Doshi's Product Sense training/cohort, and I'm still unpacking it! I feel I have also unlocked a new superpower that I get to gleefully try out in various ways, not just in the traditional product sense.
I went in thinking I had a solid foundation, but was still open to learn. Turns out some of what I "knew" was just… wrong. Not wrong in a small way either. The kind of wrong that makes you go back and question past decisions. 😅
What I walked away with isn't a set of frameworks — it's a different way of thinking. I'm more skeptical of my own assumptions now. I test before I commit. I simulate before I ship.
Honestly, as someone building AI products & complicated products, this hit at exactly the right time. 🤖
Highly recommend if you're a PM... no scratch that... if you are someone that works closely with product, has an impact on how your product is developed, or just someone who wants to actually sharpen thier judgment.. not just add more tools to the belt should take this course. Or, at the very least, take a look at what Shreyas shares.

After years of lurking on Shreyas Doshi's threads, I finally took his Product Sense course.
The hardest part? Unlearning the garbage advice we've all been marinating in. Shreyas doesn’t just hand out cookie-cutter frameworks—he teaches you how to think, not what to think. It’s like mental CrossFit for anyone who builds, leads, or solves problems for a living.
My only complaint: the name “Product Sense” undersells it. It isn’t just for Product Managers—it’s for anyone who wants to make better decisions, faster, and with less nonsense.
TL;DR: come for the “product” part, stay for the rewiring of your brain.

Several things I thought I understood this week — I never actually understood at all.
Not forgotten, Not rusty, NEVER understood.
There's a difference between having a label for something and actually knowing it. Between closing a door because a question is resolved vs. closing it because you got impatient with not knowing.
We call it expertise. A lot of the time it's just a very confident placeholder. 📦
This hit me taking Shreyas Doshi's PM course on Maven this week — and it's been sitting with me since.
The blank canvas isn't where beginners start. It's where honest people return. 🎨
Full reflection at the link below — the illusion of concluded knowledge, the synthesizer trap, what beginner's mind actually requires, and who should (and shouldn't) take the course. 👇

Fantastic course for growing your impact as a PM. Sadly, this in-person course is sunsetted. But Shreyas continues to offer outstanding PM training.

Shreyas Doshi’s product management courses are an eye-opening learning experience for anyone looking to elevate their PM skills. You learn from a Silicon Valley legend who offers insight well beyond generic advice, and he equips you with structured career guidance that could only come from someone who mastered his field in the trenches of companies like Google, Twitter, and Stripe.
His courses are unique in that he stresses developing competence and empathy over any gimmicks - a welcome refresher in today’s content-saturated world.
I would even recommend his courses to anyone outside of product management as well. He is unsurpassed in his focus on teaching principles, and he’s an expert at navigating career growth in today’s market regardless of your profession.

I recently took Shreyas Doshi ‘s course, “Managing Your PM Career: 2025 and Beyond,” on Maven —and it was easily the most useful 12 hours I’ve ever spent on a course.
What I really liked is that it wasn’t your typical career advice. There were no buzzwords or clichés. Shreyas has a very different (and refreshing) way of looking at things. The course wasn’t about quick hacks or checklists—it was about thinking deeply and intentionally about your goals and career. A lot of what he shared goes way beyond what you’d find in books or blog posts. I left with a clearer sense of direction and a robust guidance framework I’ll keep coming back to.
If you’re a PM wondering “what’s next?” or just feeling a bit stuck, I’d highly recommend it.

If you're well into your PM career, you probably think about ROI a lot. Believe me, Shreyas Doshi's Managing your PM Career in 2025 and Beyond is a massively positive ROI choice: lnkd.in/dj_qc4vu
(Or don't believe me. Although, the cost of finding out for yourself that I'm right is relatively low).
I've already written about Shreyas' Product Sense course (10 months out and I'm even more convinced it's one of the best time/money investments I've ever made in my career): lnkd.in/gWHEakFQ
I think the same applies to his career course.
As you can probably tell with that little green banner, I'm in the middle of a job search and here's something undeniably true: There's a lot of advice and tips and hacks for finding your next role or getting a promotion out there.
And there's A LOT A LOT on LinkedIn. It makes sense - that's where the people looking for a role or promotion are probably hanging out.
But how to separate the signal from the noise?
I think it's something like this:
Is the person telling you to do what they tell you to? Want what they want, do what they do, frame things their way? Then it's probably noise.
Or is the person telling you they DON'T have the answer for you, only you do? Figure out what you want, do what you already know you should do, reframe things for yourself? Then it's probably signal.
Here are some green flags:
"You already know this."
"This isn't rocket science stuff."
These are the kinds of phrases that abound in Shreyas' course.
"Well," you might be thinking "if it's all obvious, non-rocket science-y stuff, why should I pay good money to learn it? Shouldn't I pay for the hidden gems, the hacks, the differentiators?"
And this might sound counter-intuitive, but Shreyas' course makes clear that the gems are all obvious (but you're not seeing them), the hacks aren't complex (you're just overthinking it), and the differentiators are differentiators because they come from you, not from someone else.
Everything about the course, from the information Shreyas presents, to the examples from his career and the careers of other great product people he's met along the way, to his teaching style focuses you on the truth:
That it is not only possible to alter the trajectory of your product career, but that you have everything you need to do it.
Sometimes you just need someone else to show that to you.

I'm so glad I made up my mind about joining the last cohort of Shreya's course. It was a tsunami of insights. If you are looking to be a better product person whatever that may mean for you (IC, Exec, leader, you name it), do yourself a favor and try to enroll when the time comes (we were the last cohort at present but we've been told there will be another course in the future). Will be tough, not for early PMs, there are a lot of hard truths we may not be so ready to listen to and many perspectives I didn't have.
Both days included an AMA section at the end. That last part was amazing, also. My cohort had very good questions (lucky me) that let everyone learn. It's not the typical AMA we are used to...as he said "Time for some tough love?" 😅 . He gets deep, very deep with each question, back and forth with some students. His coaching style was very impactful, direct, and hard ("Think, do the job" we all said) but kind.
Thank you for your humbleness and kindness Shreyas Doshi, best coaching lesson I ever had 👏

🎓 Spent a (fairly intense!) weekend attending Shreyas Doshi's course focused on helping senior product folks navigate their career journeys. Phenomenal 🤯. One of the most impressive things to me was that a course delivered to many could end up feeling so much like 1-on-1 coaching.
Hats off to Shreyas and the team, and a shout out to the awesome PMs I was lucky enough to share the experience with! 📈

I feel so humble and honore... no, forget that nonsense. Real talk, I spent most of my weekend attending, and doing pre-/post-work for, the PM career course taught by Shreyas Doshi and it was phenomenal.
Yes it was all the things you'd expect if you follow Shreyas, and/or regularly read his posts, then say to yourself "Yes!" or "Exactly!" - but more than that, it was his insights on how to reframe & think through the toughest questions PMs have, so they can learn to confidently answer them themselves, that made it so worthwhile.
If you want platitudes and tweet-worthy one liners, shop elsewhere; if you want actionable lessons on improving as a PM, use your L&D budget to take a course with Shreyas ASAP.

This weekend, I took part in Shreyas Doshi’s Maven course: Managing Your PM Career in 2025 and Beyond.
We learned to think clearly and strategically about the career questions we all have. It was a powerful experience with lots of aha! moments and real talk. Brutally honest insights from Shreyas, smart discussions with a sharp cohort. Worth every second.
I'm convinced, you won't need any other resource. You'll be equipped to design your career, solve any dilemma, and continuously make intentional decisions -if you're willing to put in the work.
Sadly it was the last live cohort, but there were hints that an async version is on the horizon. Stay tuned!

Grateful to have been a part of the last live cohort of Shreyas Doshi's Managing your PM Career course.
It's clear to see why he is a leader in the Product community, and I hope more of my Product peers get the opportunity to learn from him firsthand.
The entire weekend was an illuminating exercise, and I'm looking forward to implementing several of the decision-making techniques I learned to provide greater clarity to my career.
