I'm working to approach 2023 by treating my career like a craft. First step was joining Shreyas Doshi for his PM Career Management workshop this past weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed both days, and was able to pick up a handful of new skills. A must do for any PM out there. lnkd.in/gEAVWm55

I spent this last weekend with Shreyas Doshi and a cohort of Product Leaders from around the world as a part of Shreyas's course on Managing your Product Management Career. The intense two days were totally worth it and I'd strongly recommend this to anyone in the mid-senior levels in Product Management and looking to unlock the next level of growth in their career...

Thank you Shreyas Doshi, for a very insightful and inspiring weekend! Introspection and "knowing your why" is such a key aspect for career management and growth, especially as a PM. Highly recommend Shreyas' seminar (link in comments) -- peppered with lived experience and honesty, it's fantastic!

Spent an incredibly productive 10+ hours over the weekend, having enrolled in Shreyas Doshi' s course on managing a PM career. Shreyas delves deep starting from understanding what kind of PM you are/want to be to figuring out which companies you may want to work at to finally how best to represent yourself and your work. There is so much to unpack, it will take a few weeks to digest it all and truly appreciate what Sheryas talks about. Between sharing personal experiences as a PM and providing stellar content, the course makes one think deeply about product management and life. The fantastic cohort is the icing. This is not a course for aspiring PM’s or PM’s who are just starting their journey, but if you have been doing this for a bit, taking this course will absolutely make you a better PM. Grateful for Shreyas Doshi's 'Managing your PM career' seminar this past weekend. A timely topic for many of us. I'm still reflecting on the well-curated and thought-provoking content he covered, and I expect this reflection to continue for many months (it really was that good!). This seminar left me inspired, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for guidance as you navigate your career to the next level. Bonus: Grateful for new connections with like-minded product professionals and learning from them (bookmarked many PM resources + dessert suggestions :D). My top 3 takeaways and the course link are in the comments!

It was an honor to attend Shreyas Doshi product management leadership and career training over the weekend. I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for putting together such awesome training. I particularly appreciated the clear and unfiltered knowledge sharing and the real-life examples you used to illustrate the PM career aspects. The hands-on exercises, interviews with top-notch PM leaders, goal setting, and understanding one's blind spots were also incredibly helpful in reinforcing what we learned. It was great to connect with the other fellow PM cohorts. Once again, thank you for the time and effort you put into this awesome training. I feel grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from you. Looking forward to joining the Product Club.

My wife gifted me this course and I spent past weekend in Shreyas Doshi's 'Managing your PM career in 2023 and beyond.' I knew learning is Joy, but I had a lot more Joy that expected coming out of it, It was Authentic Debunked the lies that we often hear Practical tool kit to approach a PM career He is also a living example of what extreme self-awareness is Here is the icing on the cake, if you are doing certain things right, you will feel endorsed. Opposite can be true as well :) I am not posting this because Shreyas Doshi promised me an access to product club! And this is not the end. My journey continues with the book he recommended "The courage to be disliked."

I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to attend lnkd.in/eZWQjeGt course during the weekend. Thanks to Shreyas Doshi for your passion to spread your knowledge and amplify the learning. It was worth it every minute. Shreyas provided his way of thinking live on how to find balance of your authentic goals in your career path, when to make compromises and ultimately seek for "joy". He shares a lot of details and his thought model, dives deep into each AMA question. I am on the same opinion like Shreyas that competence and product sense are the foundation for any successful product career. Thanks VMware for the learning budget with Take 1 program. Looking forward to keep in touch with the great PM professionals I met.

I experienced the most intense weekend of my life. Shreyas Doshi's 'Managing your PM career in 2023 and beyond' course obviously teaches you A LOT on wide ranging topics - unique frameworks and techniques for upskilling to interviewing to picking right companies and negotiating. But what hit home for me was ditching playing other people's games. Do what aligns with your authentic goals for your life and career I have a lot of reflection and execution to do in the coming days and years but I do know that I am finally on a path that's right uniquely for me without falling prey to LinkedIn envy. I am looking to connect with like-minded people who can keep me accountable on this journey. Definitely reach out if you're in the same boat!

There's nothing like kicking off a new year learning new frameworks and concepts that help me navigate career and life growth! It's been over a week since I attended Shreyas Doshi's Managing your PM career seminar for product leaders, and I'm still reflecting on the well-curated and thought provoking content that was covered. I expect this will continue to be the case for a while - it really was that good! Not only that, the overall learning experience was full of insight from diverse leaders across the industry, and I enjoyed connecting with other product leaders around the world. This seminar left me excited and inspired, and I would highly recommend it to anyone I haven't already shared this with!

A gem from Shreyas Doshi's Managing your PM Career class last weekend: As PMs, it may be tempting to communicate progress upwards with too much detail. This style of communication may look something like the jarring course of a "W" - make one high level point, then dive into the details behind it...then come back up a level with another point and explain the context behind it, and so on. Unfortunately, this often loses executives who operate on a much higher level and don't have all of the relevant context. An alternative is T-shaped communication. Summarize your main points at a high level, and then understand what your audience (manager, exec, etc.) would like to dive into deeper👌

Back in Nov 2022 I took @shreyas 's PM Career course and what a well spent weekend it was. While there's lots of content out there for Breaking into PM or dealing with conflict, there's very few how to manage your PM career and Shreyas's course is truly the best. Highly recommend

I cannot recommend Shreyas Doshi's content (Twitter, LinkedIn, guest podcasts) enough and this invaluable course takes his wisdom to the next level. Nonstop sharing of golden nuggets, packed with clarity of thought, relatable examples, and deep nuance. The outcome / feeling I walked out with: optimism thanks to a concise list of actionable steps to better manage one's career, priorities, and mindset!

This course by Shreyas Doshi is a must attend for anyone in high tech. Though specifically addressed for managing PM career, lot of what you will hear applies to broader functions. Guaranteed authentic, no BS conversation with Shreyas Doshi. The best part is some of the discussions are so deep & brutally honest, it will have you thinking hard. Amazing how he de-constructs complex topics into simple, practical frameworks and draws on his own real life experience to each.

It's yearly review time at Attentive and I've found myself going back to the content from the Shreyas Doshi course "Managing your PM career: 2023 & beyond" frequently over the last couple of weeks. I attended the course back in October and it was time well spent + full of insights that I've been able to apply to myself and my team immediately. Definitely recommend to all senior PMs in my network and happy to answer questions if anyone is on the fence!

I was part of the inaugural batch of Shreyas Doshi's PM career seminar in October last year along with 200+ PMs and PM leaders. I have been following Shreyas on Twitter for years and learned so much from him. So, I was confident that my money will be well spent attending his seminar. Shreyas delivered, and how! There was so much wisdom packed in the intensive 2-day seminar. The information was packaged to flow seamlessly from one topic to another, and delivered in a matter-of-fact manner. I also questioned myself several times because some of it seemed simple enough. And that is why I'd recommend it to everyone in my network - because often enough we do not spend the time needed to think through things to their logical conclusion. Shreyas has done it, over and over again! I am sure these learnings will be great guideposts to manage my career in the long run. As a bonus, I got to network with amazing people from the best companies and startups out there! #productmanagement #learningandgrowing #networking #careermanagement You can signup for the next cohort here: lnkd.in/dWWrEPm8

As a newish PM, I find myself investing so much of my time and energy in reading, trying, and putting into practice techniques to help me grow my PM skillset. Like anything worth while, the more I learn, the more I find there is to learn. This has led to me neglecting another important part of my professional journey, which is investing time to intentionally think and plan my PM career. Well, this weekend I took a step to invest in myself and my career by taking Shreyas Doshi's course on PM Career planning. It's a two-day intensive course that leverages examples, frameworks, and other tactics that Shreya has used to grow his career across Yahoo, Google, Twitter, and Stripe. It's fast, fun, and full of insightful conversation. In the words of Spinal Tap, it goes to 11 lnkd.in/g3D77ZeR

This past weekend, I took Shreyas Doshi's "Managing your PM career in 2023 & beyond" course on Maven. My review: it's one of the best ways that seasoned product managers can spend a weekend. Over the course of two days, I found myself nodding along to – and occasionally having my mind blown by – insightful advice and actionable tips on topics ranging from evaluating my own performance as a PM, setting goals for my career, and building a roadmap towards achieving those goals. I highly recommend it for anyone who's ready to take control of what is likely already a solid foundation in their PM career. Let me know what you think if you end up joining an upcoming cohort! lnkd.in/gXsPe4uK

Some people took vacation over the long weekend to recharge. I took a 2-day professional seminar and became unexpectedly energized from it. Shreyas Doshi's Managing Your PM Career course is a beautiful mix of life and professional philosophies with the practical guidance to elevating your Product Management acumen. The content is thoughtfully organized and delivered. Shreyas is simply a very pleasant speaker that disperses his wisdoms in a casual conversation with friends and colleagues, it feels like. And on top of that, the cohort community is eager to share experiences and information with fellow product managers. Glad I read about this course in Lenny Rachitsky's newsletter and thankful to work at BlueOwl, LLC/HiRoad where awesome developmental benefits and educational budget make taking these kind of course a no brainer. #productmanagement #career

Took this class with Joel over the weekend and nothing I say here will convey just how much I enjoyed the workshop. Shreyas Doshi is doing for PM Career planning what Cagan did for defining what great product management looks like. If you're a mid-to-sr level Product Manager, and you're wondering 'what's next', you NEED to take this workshop. Thanks for turning me onto it, Tony Camp!

Feeling inspired after participating in a two-day workshop this past weekend on "Managing your PM career in 2023 & beyond" created and hosted by Shreyas Doshi. The cohort style program was enlightening, heavily grounded in reality and provided tangible ways to manage your PM career in today's ever-changing macroeconomic environment. Plus, you get to hear Shreyas share candid stories and learnings from his impressive career. Highly recommend the course for any senior PMs and PM leaders who are seeking how to better navigate their career journeys. Here are my top 3 takeaways: 1) Superpower/Liability framework: Focus on not only identifying and turbocharging your superpower but also on bringing your liabilities to the median/average 2) Career Ladder vs. Map: Don't treat your career as a static ladder that only goes up. Rather, see it as a map that you need to explore. This can include switching between manager and IC roles or reducing scope to join a more prestigious company 3) Success is Time Optionality: Success is not money, fame or power. Success is reaching a state where you decide how much time to spend on your career, family, health, friends, hobbies, etc. and measuring your success against your ability to spend time in your top 3 areas #productmanagement #productmanagementcareers

This last weekend I attended Shreyas Doshi course "Managing your PM career: 2023 & beyond". It was truly time best spent and highly recommend it to all senior PMs in my network. It covered lots of ground, from establishing a mental model of how to think of career to tactics on what to do. The best part was the cohort based learning where you get to hear different perspectives about how to navigate career journey. Plus, you get to see the master Shreyas Doshi tell candid stories from his career.

I attended a 2-day session last weekend on " Managing your PM career 2023 & beyond."  by Shreyas Doshi. The two days journey was enlightning and invigorating, to say the least.  The course material was very well thought through and grounded in reality.  The current macroeconomic conditions and the exciting things coming up in the next 5 - 10 years were considered for all the topics discussed.  The quality of the 200+ cohorts who attended the event was exceptional.

I recently finished a weekend long cohort-based course for Senior PMs & Leaders - "Managing your PM career" by Shreyas Doshi. It was a fantastic investment of time as Shreyas shared with everyone his learnings and wisdoms he learnt throughout his long PM career. I have been consuming Shreyas' content for few years now and it has shaped my thinking and learning directly from him was a great joy. Aside from the core course & a dozen of frameworks for clear thinking, what I liked the most were his candid answers to all of the questions asked. All answers about frameworks for clarity, succeeding as introvert PM, managing vs IC, etc. created lightbulb moments for me. Highly recommended!

Thank you, Shreyas Doshi for emphasizing this in your course over the weekend. Apart from the many tactical gems I picked in the PM-career course, I loved that we discussed about stack ranking life priorities.

This was such a riveting course! Despite the high intensity, I feel so energised. ⁦@shreyas⁩’s brilliant Twitter threads are only a tip of the iceberg. Thank you so much for doing this. 🙏🏽 maven.com/shreyas-doshi/product-management-career

Over this weekend, I took Shreyas Doshi's Managing Your PM Career In 2023 & Beyond. In the course, Shreyas Doshi shared frameworks to manage one's career. Getting career coaching is important, and not everyone can afford personal career coaching. This course provides the tools to manage and grow in a PM career. #career #coaching
