As someone that learns better via listening/doing, I took some time over the past weekend to take Shreyas Doshi's class on managing your PM career. It's harder to find classes for more senior folks, so I recommend this class to those who aren't looking for the basics or the obvious. I've found lots of Shreyas' tweets to ring true to my past experiences, and this class is a very structured and eloquent way to present those ideas. Very candid and isn't sugar-coating.

For Senior Product Managers and Product Leaders, a core part of the role is to deconstruct a lofty vision for your product and bring clarity to your team and company on how to achieve that vision. However, I found myself grappling with the challenge of applying the same clarity to my own product career. With the hope to upskill myself and learn how to navigate my product career, I joined Shreyas Doshi's course (lnkd.in/gqh5s93H) over the last weekend. As he often does with his tweets, Shreyas did a masterful job of putting a framework for managing your career and discussed the specific nuances related to product careers at a great level of depth. I really appreciated his candor and took away learnings that I can apply to the rest of my career. Moreover, the course was not just an opportunity to learn from Shreyas. The guest speakers and fellow participants also sparked numerous aha moments, adding immense value to the experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this course to all product professionals in my network.

Had an epic experience at Shreyas Doshis 'Managing your PM career' July '23 cohort at Maven! 🚀🎢 Shreyas shared career gems and wisdom galore, and his passion and candor were truly inspiring. 🙌 The course is packed with genius insights and truth bombs about the market and tech world. 💡 The concept of the 'messaging problem' and how to "manage your career as you manage your product" resounded a lot– a simple yet powerful idea for overcoming career challenges. 🎯 Next cohort on Oct 21-23. Don't miss out! Highly recommended for #productmanagers aiming for growth! #careeradvice #careergrowth #course #maven link- lnkd.in/dkUfVVtx

I have been an ardent follower of Shreyas Doshi for some time now, for sheer depth and authenticity of the content he posts. However, I kept postponing attending his course (designed to help PMs progress into leaders) for quite some time now. I finally took the leap over this weekend, and I am so glad I did! Here are my key takeaways and I highly recommend this for all the ***product-enthusiasts (beginners/seniors/leaders)*** in my network: 1. Being accountable for one's own career: Stop blaming the Org politics, the Managers, the peers, the college (sometimes even the high school!) for your progress in career. I only feel more equipped post the workshop to start taking charge - the frameworks, resources, communication guidelines and the PM network shared - are all very exciting. 2. “It depends” is not an answer: I have not heard “it depends on your situation” as an answer to even a single question in the AMA through last 2 days. Every question is answered to a great depth and detail. This ability to structure the thoughts and break down any level of ambiguity - is the primary skill I need to practice in my communication. 3. Stop being a baby: I am glad someone said this loud to me! I have been blessed with best of the managers in my career, along with the incredible warmth & support of ISB alumni in India. Post moving to US in last 2 years, I got into my own distractions, and been assuming that finding “The mentor!” who sponsors is the solution for everything. Well, my course correction this weekend - look for "Mentor to help for specific gaps" and the onus is still on me to build awareness of my skill-gaps and seek help with specific asks for my "light house goals". #productmanagement #productleadership #learningandevelopment

I had the opportunity to join Shreyas Doshi's July Cohort of Managing your PM Career (lnkd.in/gwGVev32) and really appreciated not only the frameworks and tactics, but particularly the candor with which he shared his own experiences and belief. For example, I was not expecting him to share screenshots of his text messages and emails from years ago to demonstrate his points. The course helped reaffirm some of my beliefs, question others, and give me the tools to reassess going forward. The next cohort is in October and would be curious if anyone I know has already gone through it or something similar.

I wanted to give a shout out to Shreyas's course on managing PM career. Highly valuable frameworks and more importantly, how to think about making decisions yourself that aligns to your goals. Course is well organized with many resources made available readily. Saves ton of time trying to find things yourself. I wish I had these guideposts earlier in my career - would have made better choices for sure. Take a look:

🚀 Excited to share that I successfully completed the Course from Maven on Managing your Product Management Career in 2023 and Beyond! 🚀 Shreyas Doshi is one of the most influential voices on product management. He has created a powerful course on managing your product career. It offers valuable lessons on crafting your own career path using tools and frameworks that bring clarity of thought to the process. It also allows opportunities to connect and learn from mid-to senior level PMs across geographies. I can safely say that doing this course has been one of the best decisions that I have made in this year. Would highly recommend it to anyone interested in levelling up their game! Thank you Shreyas Doshi for teaching this course. Looking forward to more of such high quality content in the months and years to come

I spent the weekend in Shreyas Doshi's "Managing Your PM Career" course alongside a HUGE group of experienced product leaders and there are 3 important things you should know: 1. Shreyas makes this 2-day intensive course a place to engage and share in a VERY open and honest way, so to encourage that openness from himself and everyone else, the #1 rule is - What happens in “Managing Your PM Career”, stays in “Managing Your PM Career”. Even though I can’t share details, I can tell you how I felt emerging from this course: 💡 Enlightened 🤩 Motivated 💪 Empowered 😃 Invigorated 🧗‍♀️ Determined 🤯 And tired! My brain is very full. So much more information and solid gold insights than I could have imagined. 2. This is not about being a better PM, upskilling as a leader, or refining your craft. This is about you. It's about you, as a product leader (Sr. PM and up), being the key driver of your #career and understanding how to intentionally choose it, build it, and navigate it. 🎯 It feels a bit like a #careercoach and a no-frills, no-BS life coach who challenges your thinking and what you think you know, and shows you how to get it done, while including a bonus swift kick in the pants. 👟⃯👖 3. Shreyas is not human. I think that’s important to know. 💪 Or maybe he's superhuman because I have no idea how he maintained the high energy and drive he needed to blaze through this 2-day highly intensive course without skipping a beat. I think maybe his passion for product management, leadership, and careers feeds him like a battery 🔋 because there is never a dull moment. You’re thinking “I don’t know if I can make it through 5-6 hours a day” and then you blink and the day has almost ended and your mind has been blown several times. It’s crazy. ______________________________ 🎯 If you fit the target audience for this course, this is a solid investment and I highly recommend it. If you’re not sure if this is for you, follow these steps: 1️⃣ Check out “Who is this course for” on Maven (link in comments) and ask yourself “Is this me?” If yes, then… 2️⃣ Check out the course content list and ask yourself “Do I think I know everything about these topics already?” If yes, then tell yourself that’s silly and there’s no way you know everything in Shreyas’ head so proceed to step 3… (In all seriousness, what you know about moving through your IC PM career is not going to help you chart your PM leadership career. There is likely new insight here for you.) 3️⃣ If you’ve made it to step 3, this is a good investment for you! (If you are currently looking or planning to find a new PM leadership role, this is a GREAT INVESTMENT for you.) 💎 📅 This course is only provided once a quarter so sign up for the October course before it's filled! #productmanagement #careergrowth #productleadership #shreyasissuperhuman

I enjoyed Shreyas Doshi's July Cohort of "Managing Your PM" Career over the weekend. My key takeaway was to "think about managing your career the same way you manage products." We use first principles in our day-to-day, but hearing ways to work backward to improve our careers, communication with stakeholders, and product skills was one 💡 moment after another. It would be applicable for any senior product person who feels like they want to be more intentional with their career and optimize outcomes for your specific situation. Next cohort is in October -> lnkd.in/dCKvEaS4

Last weekend I participated in Shreyas Doshi's PM Career course and I was astonished how much impactful content and advice he and his team managed to pack into two days. I usually learn by reading and doing, however getting the best tips from a master in the art of product management was transformational. I will definitely be applying some of the learnings from this workshop into my management and mentorship practice for a long time.

Expected some epic stuff, like career gems and wisdom galore from Shreyas Doshi in his 'Managing your PM career' July '23 cohort at Maven. And man, did he deliver! Hats off! (and I say this very humbly, of course!) This course is like a turbo boost for Sr. Product Managers and above, squeezed into a wild two-day rollercoaster of genius. The awesomeness I got from the course, 1. He didn't just dish out his famous frameworks; he also shared some major perspectives to level up our career game. 2. His passion, energy, and candour about his career journey were legit inspiring.  3. He served a concocted brew of magic not just from his goody bag, but from the world of Product Management wizardry. 4. And man, did he bust myths left and right and dropped some serious truth bombs about the market, tech, and corporate world – stuff I needed to hear. Among the many valuable takeaways, the one that hit me the hardest was the 'messaging problem.' Addressing that simple yet powerful concept seems to be my key to overcoming almost any challenge in my career growth. The next cohort is on Oct 21-23, do check out #productmanagers #careeradvice #careergrowth #course #maven

This past weekend I had the great fortune to participate in Managing your PM Career in 2023 & Beyond with Product sage Shreyas Doshi. It was a pleasure to learn from Shreyas. One of the biggest outcomes for me is learning that there is no perfect path to a product career. At the end of the day, removing ego, what matters most is being able to experience joy in your career. It took so much pressure off of me to try to "get it absolutely right". I'm excited for the future. Thank you Shreyas for the awesome coaching! I'm now more excited for the future than ever. PS... "all problems are messaging problems" = 🤯

Navigating my next move amidst the layoffs, in this tough environment, has been challenging. So I have been focusing on up-skilling and investing into my PM craft. I recently finished "Managing your PM Career" course by Shreyas Doshi, which has some great insights on how to think about a 20 year PM career. While this course is not geared for aspiring and early-in-career PMs, it is for even super senior PM's who have been crushing it in life. Check it out. #productmanagement #careergrowth #professionaldevelopment

Had an amazing weekend listening to @shreyas take on product management, career choices and everything else. What stood out for me was his approach to not give the list of things to do but to enable us to figure out things on our own .

This course has been an absolute game-changer for me as a Product Manager. Shreyas Doshi's weekend seminar for PMs has undoubtedly been the most eye-opening experience for me this year. The wisdom and insights gained from this investment are beyond measure. Shreyas's radical candor and unfiltered energy reinforced in me the need to take better charge of my career. The seminar delved into profound takeaways that will forever influence how I approach various aspects of my professional life: - Balancing Product Work: Understanding the delicate balance between impact, execution, and optics in product management. - Defining Success: Learning to define success at different stages of life and creating the flexibility to pursue what truly matters most. - Navigating Career Paths: Gaining clarity on the choice between following a conventional ladder path or exploring a more versatile map approach while considering the generalist vs. specialist puzzle. - Performance Evaluation: Discovering a better, more constructive way to evaluate my performance as a PM, embracing growth and improvement. - Making Informed Decisions: Equipping myself with the tools to compare job offers, assess company stages, and evaluate the kind of PM role that aligns with my skills and the company's vision. Shreyas articulated these complex topics with incredible clarity, empowering us with a toolbox to discuss our careers pragmatically. I am grateful for this experience and look forward to applying these invaluable insights! Thank you, Shreyas! (Course link lnkd.in/ejSviAXi)

I am grateful for this experience and look forward to applying these invaluable insights! Thank you, Shreyas! (Course link lnkd.in/ejSviAXi)

Shreyas Doshi's weekend seminar for PMs has undoubtedly been the most eye-opening experience for me this year. The wisdom and insights gained from this investment are beyond measure. Shreyas's radical candor and unfiltered energy reinforced in me the need to take better charge of my career. I recently joined Maven Product Management Career Course last weekend led by Shreyas Doshi and team, and I must say it has been a transfortive experience. As a homegrown Product Manager in the Company and in Thailand, I have always been eager to learn from a seasoned industry expert like Lenny Rachitsky Teresa Torres Petra Wille Leah Tharin (to name a few) to enhance my skills and knowledge to excel in this dynamic field. But this course truly exceeded my expectations. Shreyas Doshi is not only a highly accomplished Product Leader but also an incredible teacher. The course has provided me with invaluable insights, teaching me not only the essential of being PMs but also how to approach my career with a strategic mindset. One of the key takeaways is the importance of having the right framework to navigate the career effectively. Just like taking care of your own products, building a successful career requires a thoughtful approach, and Shreyas, his team and Maven has provided with the tools and knowledge tank to do just that while the energy during sessions, insights, interviews, and all resources were priceless. Thanks to Shreyas Doshi and Maven, I now feel equipped to take my career to the new heights. I cannot recommend this course enough for anyone looking to excel in the world of product management. If you want to gain a competitive edge, Shreyas's course is the way to go.

I had the opportunity to attend @shreyas Managing your PM Career course! This isn’t about learning hacks or how to crack an interview. This course is designed to help you introspect, lay down your North Star and understand how to make progress towards it! Highly recommended!

I've been very intentional over the last 18 months to learn as much as I can about product management in order to be more equipped to excel as a B2C mobile app product leader. I've learned a ton from people who share their hard-won product wisdom (Lenny Rachitsky, Elena Verna, Teresa Torres, Marty Cagan, Leah Tharin, to name a few), but one person has stood out by both the volume and consistent quality of his posts: Shreyas Doshi. This weekend, I took the opportunity to go even deeper with Shreyas by attending the July cohort of his Maven course on Managing Your PM Career in 2023 and Beyond. I expected it to be great, but let me tell you: I underestimated how valuable it was going to be. The content itself was transformational; I expect that I'll be using some of the tools and frameworks he shared on a monthly basis for the rest of my career. But beyond the content, the community aspect of connecting with other highly motivated and talented product professionals takes the value of this cohort experience into the stratosphere. If you are an experienced product leader who is looking to elevate your career, starting today and into the future, I can't recommend this course highly enough (link in comments).

Building and scaling products that solve problems is as much science as it is art. I just completed Shreyas Doshi ‘s amazing course this weekend. It’s already one of the most popular courses on the subject. I found the course very insightful, thought provoking and deeply rooted in real scenarios from his experience of building super-successful products at top-tier organizations. All that additionally powered by an engaging community of 250+ fellow product managers from all around the globe. Totally recommend this course! I believe you’ll find it an extremely valuable investment in yourself as it enriches with tools and structured frameworks for navigating all sorts of scenarios one deals with - organizational, strategic, executional to name a few. The sessions are high intensity and include multiple Q&A sessions to enrich learnings. Shreyas is candid and responds to questions with a clear and approachable communication style, that he is known for. Thanks for Shreyas’ team for such a well executed event - Shreman Shrestha Aditi Parekh and the rest. The next cohort is in October. I’d highly recommend this course. Do sign up.

Over the last few months, I've been on a bit of an exploration spree. Imagine trying to unearth a GPS that could guide me through the often tangled paths of a Product Manager's career journey. My focus has been on gaining a deeper understanding of what it takes to be a Product Leader, and on honing those crucial skills that differentiate a good Product Manager from a great one. More than anything else, I want to start developing a skillset for the 3-5 years into future. How do I grow from a Product Manager into a Product Leader? I signed up for and I've just finished this two-day eye-opener course by Shreyas Doshi called Managing your PM Career and can't stop raving about the takeaways. Imagine a blend of deep insights, candid conversations and no-nonsense unvarnished strategies. That's what you're getting here. Shreyas has brewed a course that nails the ins and outs of product leadership and combines a storied career and nuggets of wisdom from some of the best product leaders and an amazing Peer Group in our Cohort! Even though this course is tailored more towards Product Leaders, I would highly recommend any ambitious PM and PM Leaders to explore this and gain some actionable tools for gaining clarity in your careers. Let's Keep Innovating! #product #productmanagement #productleadership P.S. - Huge shoutout to the Course Team of Shreman Shrestha, Aditi Parekh and others for a smooth course experience!

It has been more than a week since I completed the Managing your PM Career in 2023 & beyond course by Shreyas Doshi. This has been a very candid and impactful course that I still reflect on every day. If you are a senior product leader then I can highly recommend this class.

Just finished up the May 2023 cohort. Whether you're interested in growing your career at your existing company or considering your next move, Shreyas Doshi's course is a great resource for senior product leaders. Yes, like his tweets, it's insightful. But it's also immensely practical as well!

As I go deeper into building products, I am realising the power of structuring problems; basically any problem that can be structured well can be solved. It becomes more complex when there are a lot of moving parts, and one such problem is how to approach your career

I took Shreyas’ PM career course on Maven a couple weeks ago, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. If you’re a mid-career PM looking to change the slope of your career trajectory, I highly recommend signing up for it!

Many successful product leaders lack candor and the desire to mentor others at scale. And this is precisely what differentiates Shreyas Doshi. I recently got a chance to attend his latest workshop, which was filled with candid stories and insights that people don't typically talk about. My biggest takeaway was the mental model of Ladder vs. Map. I highly recommend this course to mid-senior level folks who are looking to further hone their product craft! lnkd.in/gsJ4KeFZ

I’ve been following Shreyas Doshi on Twitter for about a year, and recently saw someone post a rave review about their experience in his course "Managing Your PM Career". Took the plunge and joined the latest cohort last weekend. I came out of the course with an extraordinary number of lightbulb moments that helped me reflect on my career/life journey so far, and how I’ll direct my journey moving forward. Sign-ups for the next cohort are open here!

It’s crazy how many senior leaders still make wrong career decisions. @shreyas’s careers course for #product managers is a high ROI investment. Forget all tabus (money convos, corporate bs etc.) and learn how to make the right decision for you: maven.com/shreyas-doshi/product-management-career

I completed Shreyas Doshi’s Managing PM Career last weekend and it was so insightful and actionable. It very much felt like receiving private coaching from Shreyas. He offered so many contrarian views and backed them up with actionable tactics. The most refreshing part was Shreyas’ truth bombs and candid takes on popular advice for PMs. If you sitting on the fence about joining this program, just go for it. You’ll also get introduced to a large community of ambitious Product leaders. It’s a no brainer for ambitious PMs.
