I had the privilege of learning from Shreyas Doshi on how to manage your career in 2024 and beyond. Those 8 hours were packed with insightful actionable tips and frameworks on how to navigate different situations to grow as a person.   My top 3 learnings:   1) Competence is the key. 2) Evaluating every decision from the lens of your lighthouse goal. 3) Finding out what is important to you in your life, and ensuring your career aligns with those values and goals. Shreyas, Thank you for these insightful learnings and for being a role model for PMs - you are helping the PM ecosystem to thrive.    Satyajeet, Aditi, and Shreman - Thank you for a very well-organized course and for creating an engaging environment!

This weekend I took part in Shreyas Doshi's October cohort for his course on "managing your PM career in 2023 & beyond". To say this course was eye opening is an understatement, Shreyas Doshi masterfully pinpointed the hurdles and challenges that PMs encounter while striving for upward mobility in their careers. He approached complex topics with clarity and thoughtfulness, and provided a wealth of knowledge, advice, and helpful tactics to demystify some of these career growth problems. Moreover, the network of ambitious PMs I’ve connected with has been invaluable. Sharing and learning from varied perspectives has given me a broader understanding and a richer network of like-minded individuals. One aspect of this course I really appreciated was how down-to-earth, realistic, and unfiltered Shreyas Doshi was, he goes above and beyond to answer any question with thoughtfulness and sincerity. His advice and perspective were much more lucid and practical than 99% of what product management influencers constantly regurgitate on LinkedIn and Twitter/X. I highly recommend this course to any PMs looking to explore the next phase of their career journey. The investment in knowledge pays the best interest, and this course is a testament to that. S/O also to Satyajeet Salgar for sharing great insights and running awesome q&a sessions.

My weekend was mind-expanding. I spent it with Shreyas Doshi and 250 talented product leaders worldwide. 'Managing your PM Career in 2024 and beyond' is an intensive weekend-only course designed for busy ambitious Senior PMs and Product Leaders/Execs where Shreyas shares golden nuggets he has been using in his 1:1 career coaching past 10 years on how to build a product career that combines joy, growth, and success. The following 3 things stood out for me: 1. Going through multiple experiences with managers of different personalities and backgrounds, I made my mental models of a good and a bad manager. Shreyas broke this binary mental model and provided me with a framework on how much importance I should allocate to this factor when considering a move. His particular suggestion on navigating the situation of Product Leaders reporting to General Managers from non-product backgrounds hit hard - I wish someone had offered me this conviction and clarity early. 2. In the past, I struggled to navigate recognition and promotions. I found myself either - leaving it blindly on managers, watching my career progression slow down in case of a new manager, or putting managers on the backfoot asking for a promotion. Shreyas enabled me with frameworks and tactics to turn managers into allies in career progression and even shared detailed scripts to have these tricky conversations. 3. We got to see the no BS super-authentic Shreyas which might not always be the case in public forums. I realized some hard truths about determining success in life and frameworks on making hard trade-offs between Title, Money, and Scope - be it choosing between a large Tech company or a startup, IC path or PM Manager path, B2B or consumer-facing roles. πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈ Shreyas repeated - "Every problem is a messaging problem". I see a strong correlation between how I manage my product and life - and my mind is curious to meditate on the scope of this statement 🀝 The learnings are very effective in mentoring and coaching other PMs on their career decisions. If you think I can help you or you need a brainstorming partner, please feel free to reach out - PM is a lonely job and I am looking forward to contributing and giving back to the community ❀️ Hats off to Shreyas for choosing to teach. If more PMs can simulate Shreyas and make decisions based on how he thinks - it'll have a gigantic impact on the Product Management ecosystem πŸ‘ We are all walking-talking LLMs. If you're interested in training your LLM with insight-heavy data, the course link for the December cohort is in the comments

What a way to spend the weekend! I attended the 'Managing Your PM Career in 2024 & Beyond' course by Shreyas Doshi. It's over 10 hours filled with eye-opening insights, frameworks, and approaches on how to thrive in product management, how to get hired, and how to evaluate the companies to work for. I absolutely loved it, and here are some of the reasons why: 1. Tactical actions you can implement right away. 2. Candid recommendations and insights, contrary to popular advice. 3. No fluff, no 'it depends' answers - real-life examples for exploration. I highly recommend this course to anyone in a product organization, including designers and engineers. If you're not familiar with Shreyas, here are some steps to get started: 1. Follow Shreyas on LinkedIn, X, or Threads. 2. Watch some of his interviews, podcasts, and videos on YouTube. 3. Consider taking this course; the next cohort is in December 2023. If you have any questions or need clarification, please feel free to reach out to me. I had an incredible experience this weekend, listening to Shreyas Doshi share insider information about Managing your PM Career - truly eye-opening! One of the biggest takeaways for me was the importance of being intentional in this exercise and being honest with yourself about what's truly important. Lots and lots of great material that really has to be experienced. Shreyas is not only incredibly knowledgeable, given his PM career at Google, Twitter and Stripe but what struck me is how genuine and relatable he is. I highly recommend checking out his course for anyone looking to take their PM career to the next level!

Just finished up Shreyas Doshi's "Managing your PM career in 2024" course this weekend. I highly recommend this course to any PMs looking to explore the next phase of their career journey. (Link in comment) I've gotta say, that I really loved the content and how Shreyas managed to distill the course into such an easy-to-digest format. A few things that really stuck with me: 1) Shreyas's ability to dive deep into various topics while keeping it super engaging. 2) The confidence he exudes when he talks about his experiences and what he's learned. 3) I appreciate how he keeps it real, no fancy preachy stuff. Just a heads up though, this course won't work like a magic wand for your career. Shreyas can give you an awesome roadmap and framework, but you'll need to put in the hard work of distilling it to your liking to fulfill your own goals. As Shreyas wisely puts it, "You do you". Thanks again, Shreyas Doshi!

Over the past few years, I've learned so much from Shreyas Doshi about the art and craft of product management through his tweets, YouTube videos and Linkedin posts. I had the opportunity to learn directly from him this weekend via his course on Maven. It was (unsurprisingly) packed with insights about systematically building competence, managing your career and leading a fulfilling life! It was time well spent and I came away feeling energized, despite feeling under the weather, with lots to think about and reflect on.

Had a blast attending Shreyas Doshi's PM course over the weekend. It was packed with unconventional frameworks, contrarian wisdoms and lots of truth bombs. Especially appreciate his astute insights on how AI might impact our profession. Highly recommend this to any PM leaders looking to upskill in this uncertain market.

It was an interesting way to spend the weekend learning from Shreyas Doshi on how to manage your PM Career in 2024 and beyond. Shreyas and the team have shared a treasure trove of wonderful insights, books, and examples. I recommend this course if you plan to grow your PM career beyond the Senior PM and up to the executive level, and if you are willing to learn what it takes to be in the top 5-10% of the PMs. The only regret for me at this moment is that I didn't take this course six months ago.

A definite skillset that a Product(or any) Leader working with cross functions should possess is to manage distraction at work. While unblocking things for your co-workers is important, it is also important to understand the core value β€˜you’ generate. A weekly note-taking to a question for self like β€œWhat is the value that I added to my primary work, against my effort spent?” will help leaders reflect, prioritise meetings and navigate the upcoming week better Glad I got introduced to LNO framework by Shreyas Doshi. It brings in structure to a PM’s day in life lnkd.in/gjxpVYaa #productmanagement #leadership

I recently had the privilege of participating in Shreyas Doshi's insightful PM Career Management course. It was truly an enlightening journey, and I feel beyond grateful to have finally taken the course! There were too many gems that Shreyas shared throughout the session that were absolute gold, but the top three that stuck with me the most are: 1. Creating a Three-Year Lighthouse Goal: Shreyas skillfully guides you in creating a clear and strategic three-year lighthouse goal. This actionable approach not only provides direction to your career journey but also empowers you to make deliberate choices that align with your long-term aspirations. 2. Beating Procrastination with a Shitty-First-Draft: An invaluable lesson was about overcoming procrastination by adopting the concept of a "shitty-first-draft." Learning to embrace imperfection in initial drafts not only boosts productivity but also nurtures a culture of continuous improvement, a cornerstone of successful Product Management. 3. All Problems are Messaging Problems: Shreyas's emphasis on effective messaging was a revelation. Understanding that all problems, at their core, are messaging challenges underscores the importance of communication skills in navigating complexities, fostering collaboration, and driving impactful solutions. My journey through this course has been transformative. Armed with insights and newfound frameworks, I am excited to embark on a path of even greater achievement in my Product Management voyage. For those seeking to elevate their careers, I wholeheartedly endorse Shreyas Doshi's PM Career Management course. Invest in yourself and seize the opportunity for growth! Two years ago, I had attended a session by Shreyas Doshi where he passionately spoke about building products that customers truly love. His ideas resonated completely with my own thoughts. Since then, I have been avidly following Shreyas Doshi for his remarkable insights and the depth of valuable content he shares. His expertise has been a continuous source of inspiration in my journey as a product enthusiast. With this, I finally took his course in July, and I must say, it was a game-changer! I highly recommend it to all Product enthusiasts and leaders in my network. My biggest takeaway from the course is the valuable lesson of treating your career as a Product. I enjoyed Shreyas Doshi's "Managing your PM Career" course last weekend. If only I had taken this back in January! His immediately actionable advice for those searching for jobs could have shortened my own career break considerably. That said, it's still valuable for any experienced product manager seeking to be more of a leader and coach. I personally feel very equipped to coach my own future team on their careers (and will definitely direct them toward this course). Signups are available for the next session in October: lnkd.in/gZBgtj9g

Expanded Network: The course provided an exceptional platform to connect with fellow product management professionals from diverse backgrounds. Last weekend, I had the opportunity to learn from Shreyas Doshi through his "Managing your PM career" course on Maven, which I had serendipitously discovered through Gagan Biyani's post earlier this year. ✨ I walked away not only learning tactics but also how to think through situations and decisions. πŸ’‘ An insight that resonated in the context of one's product skillset was how to identify weaknesses and prevent them from being liabilities while focusing on honing superpowers. If you're an ambitious senior PM or PM leader, I'd highly recommend this course as a way of investing in the product of you 🌱 lnkd.in/gpKvkhnP

Enjoyed Shreyas Doshi β€˜s two day workshop last weekend on PM career, targeted towards senior PMs and above. Highly engaging and infused with Shreyas’s unique style of distilling complex topics into simple, actionable diagrams. Especially good for mid level and above PMs who want some dedicated time to think about PM career trajectory, how to find good roles, how make career decisions, how to choose the right role, and how to grow (both skill wise and the recognition for it). One of my main goals was to upskill in coaching and teaching other PMs, and I learned a lot from observing how Shreyas communicates and engages with the students. He is one of the few PM KOLs who penetrate beyond the tactics (the Shu 术) and get to the underlying principles (the Dao 道) of thinking about a fulfilling career. β€œGuru” is an overrused term but Shreyas deserves this title in its original sense. Last weekend was spent in the company of 300+ Senior Product Leaders in an intense coaching session by none other than Shreyas Doshi. I can safely say I received a lifetime of advice in a few hours - packaged as reusable frameworks, tactics, lists *and* with a fantastic cohort to lean on. I have also never witnessed stunned silence on a Zoom call, when literally hundreds of people come to a shared realization when Shreyas' responded to an AMA question. Multiple times. What an experience. And the shared learning & coaching continues endlessly as part of Product Club! Registration for the October cohort is now open, and I highly recommend checking it out: lnkd.in/grm3v9jf #ProductManagement #ProductLeadership #GrowthMindset

Decided to spend my birthday weekend attending the "Managing your PM Career" course by @shreyas. Loved the honest talk, thoughtful advice and flexible frameworks. Unlike conventional product courses, this one makes you think and craft your own journey

Over the last weekend, for two intense days, I had the most exhilarating and intense experience diving deep into the world of product management alongside Shreyas Doshi, attending his "Managing PM Career" course. The wealth of information, insights, practical and thought-provoking tips and frameworks he shared were truly mind-blowing! However, the real icing on the cake was the opportunity to connect with the crΓ¨me de la crΓ¨me of product managers from leading companies worldwide. Within a short span, we forged friendships, and it's astonishing how much knowledge we gained from each other. The camaraderie and exchange of ideas were simply remarkable.

I have been a big fan of Shreyas Doshi's content for years, drawn to its depth and practicality.   Having read through his writing, and listened to his talks and seminars, my expectations for last weekend's course (designed to help PMs and PM leaders) were already high, and I was already convinced that the course would be top-rated. However, for it to be transformational and eye-opening was beyond my expectations. Every min was thoughtfully curated and every question was thoughtfully answered. Practical wisdom which went beyond work! Highly recommended. Wanted to share some of my key takeaways:   1. Use analytics to narrow down but gut to choose: I thought it was beautiful! As PMs and even humans, we make a series of decisions every single minute of our jobs and lives. There are multiple frameworks to guide decision-making. However, a key takeaway from the course was to use those frameworks to narrow down options while relying on intuition to make the ultimate answer. This is something I would love to practice going forward.   2. Understand your liabilities, medians, and strengths and actively work on them: Self-awareness is a key aspect of growth. What I learned was the power of systematically identifying and breaking down strengths, medians, and liabilities. More importantly, I appreciate more the value of continuously working on eliminating liabilities and building on medians and strengths. A key reminder to start implementing this in various stages of life.   3. Communication elevates all skills: This simple line was game-changing! Shreyas highlighted the importance of effective communication and shared tips on communicating effectively at different altitudes. Tips on seeking and growing feedback.   A wealth of practical wisdom through rich personal experiences over the years shared with candor and depth. Highly recommend it to other PMs and PM leaders in my network. #productmanagement #growthanddevelopment #leadership
