I highly recommend Shreyas Doshi and his “Managing a Product Management Career” course. Last weekend, I spent two days with a large cohort of like-minded product folks across industries and geographic locations. Having been in various industries and product teams, we know tend to focus on the work at hand - frameworks, problem solving, outcomes, metrics and collaboration. What was missing — that Shreyas articulated so well — was the need to manage one’s own career as a product itself. But how? I’m satisfied to hear his perspective and candor in his career decisions. It was Interactive and a huge push to self-reflect and make a plan. I believe his next cohort is in August. #productmanagment

Are you a PM or PM leader who hasn't been wowed by anything lately? You should check this out then! The course forces you to think, act, and then reassess both your thinking and actions. It provides numerous frameworks for various situations where you might feel stuck or uncertain, helping you gain clarity on the path forward. Most importantly, it creates a focus and offers tools to shape your journey in a way that brings the most satisfaction to your distilled hopes and needs. Shreyas Doshi thank you, it was a blast!

Shreyas Doshi’s course on PM career management is packed with actionable guidance and frameworks. It's also a masterclass in what an amazing “product” experience is like. 💡 Here’s what I learned after taking it: 1️⃣ The best products make users feel like it was built just for them. 🤩 Just like trying on a jacket that fits perfectly, a new song that hits just right, or an app that works exactly the way you expect, Shreyas is a mind reader. He knows exactly what ambitious product leaders struggle with, the mitigation options, and how we self-sabotage in our own heads. I know many of us in the course felt very seen and heard - and that feeling is priceless. 2️⃣ Products should be opinionated. 💪 It’s never been easier to build some kind of product - from software to services and beyond - and competition is fierce. Differentiation is critical. Shreyas stands out because of his ultra-candid and no-BS perspectives on building a PM career, whether that’s dealing with org politics or the best mindset to approach building your career with. 3️⃣ Great products develop and build an active and loyal community around them, which helps users gain even more value. 🤝 Having a community motion helps to increase retention and decrease CAC, as successful products like Reddit and Notion are well aware. Shreyas leans into this as well by fostering an environment where course participants can build relationships, discuss course content, and keep the learning going afterwards with his Product Club. I had such a great experience that it's a given I'll take his new Product Sense course and any future courses. If you’re interested in upleveling your own product career while also experiencing a world-class "product", I’d highly recommend taking the course. The next cohort is in August! ✨

Just completed this intensive and invaluable 2-day course on Managing your PM career by Shreyas Doshi. I highly recommend this course, one of the most relevant and actionable career courses I have taken. Shreyas shares comprehensive frameworks, templates, insights, wisdom & lessons from his own product management leadership journey to manage one's career like we manage our products. One of the key takeaways that most resonated with me of setting 3yr lighthouse goals with intentionality, constant self-reflection and evaluating every decision with this foundation. Course correcting as life's priorities and circumstances change. #productmanagement #lifeskills Also, had the opportunity to interact, share & learn from an amazing cohort of talented PMs.

For highly ambitious PM leaders: here's the only course on career management that you'll need to take in your entire life. And its not the usual run of the mill stuff, Shreyas goes deep into some invaluable wisdom and insight on the formula for success as a PM Leader - building your competence, picking the right opportunity/company/idea and getting promoted/recognised for your work. And if you're wondering if this is just as relevant for someone outside the US, I found 99% of the content entirely applicable to my context as a PM leader in the MENAP region. The next cohort is in August so don't miss it!

Just wrapped up Shreyas Doshi's course on Managing your PM Career, two days that provided unexpectedly intense clarity on career success - a couple of takeaways: 1. The modern PM career isn't just a ladder—it's a map. Shreyas challenged us to uncover our true preferences, prompting a fundamental rethink of what success means 2. Competency is the bedrock of career success. The course provided a robust framework for identifying and addressing our professional liabilities—a refreshing shift from the typical 'onward and upward' narrative Appreciated the focus on lasting principles rather than quick fixes- it will challenge your core assumptions about self.

It is highly relevant and recommended for PMs everywhere, not just the ones in the valley ;) Whether you are aiming to progress in your current role/job, or seeking new adventures, this is probably the only career course you will ever need to join.

It is the by far the most valuable experience I've had were I intentionally planning my career by making a 3 year lighthouse goal , LMS framework etc instead of just letting my career happen to me. No matter what level of product you are, give yourself five minutes to see if it resonates.

I just finished an intensive 2-day course from Shreyas Doshi on "Managing Your PM Career" and gained so many great insights. I don't usually post much on LinkedIn, but here are some key takeaways (I'm still processing others): ▪ Reflect and maintain your 3-year lighthouse (where you want to be and what you want to achieve). ▪ Be very proactive and intentional in your job search or next opportunity, whether within your current company or a new one. Framing the hierarchy of factors for evaluating a job and stack ranking your priorities is key here. ▪ Reflect on your career arcs and your life priorities. Thanks, Shreyas, and all the cohort peers (who were amazing, to be honest) for all the knowledge and super actionable points!

Hi All! I just completed Managing your PM Career course taught by Shreyas Doshi. I took this course to get a pulse check on the state of product management across the industry and learn great frameworks. I can truly say that it was an amazing class and Shreyas Doshi provided so much candid information as well as nuggets of wisdom to chew on for later. I cannot overestimate how engaging and stimulating the course was for both the group interactions and instructor led portions. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to up level their product work and career! Here is a link to the course:

Over the weekend, I took Shreyas Doshi’s course on Managing Your PM Career. This course was worth their weight in gold, and more. A few things that makes Shreyas course stand out from the rest: * Shreyas gift is his clarity of thought, and he puts them all in frameworks that are really helpful to guide your thinking, based on your circumstances. * His frameworks aren’t cliches - he backs it up with real life, nuanced examples, so that we understand how to use it. * Shreyas was super transparent and did not hold back in dishing out some tough love. * There was so much insightful, meaty content (so much so that I think everyone skipped lunch two days in a row because we didn’t want to miss anything Shreyas shared 😂 ). I’m super excited to apply what I learned and supercharge my career. I would highly recommend this course to product professionals and closely adjacent roles.

I had a lot of fun attending 'Managing Your PM Career in 2024’ last weekend. It's remarkable how Shreyas has risen to the top of the Product Management craft and how rising to the top is not a privilege of pedigree but for the one who makes an effort to be at the top. If you are a senior product leader or aspiring to be one, this is the one course I highly recommend. I love his out-of-the-box thinking and how real he is with his advice! Moreover, his willingness to share his journey added a layer of authenticity and inspiration. It felt less like a lecture and more like a mentor sharing wisdom gained through years of learnings. My biggest learning is that communication is the multiplier for all other skills. Key learnings for me include: 1. Have your three-year North Star goals very clear. 2. Know your thyself know your LMS (Join the course to understand what LMS is and why it is important). 3. Reject the job for table stakes.Select for joy; do not fall into the trap of ego or extrinsic motivators, such as title or salary (unless it's your top priority). 4. Product sense and product strategy are what's expected from the VP and Director of Product, not just product execution skills (that's a table stake). Other interview pieces of advice we heard from other participants: - Curiosity and a fire in the belly are crucial things to show. - Have a strong idea about the product and engage in a deep conversation to have a mind meld. - Connect with the user on an interest level. - Keep an interview prep document and maintain the corpus of the story. - Create empathy to let people imagine themselves in your shoes. - Sometimes we do not understand the power of simulation under complex situations. - Think win-win-win, even if you do not succeed in an Interveiw. - Focus on controllable variables (your response to a situation) rather than complaining about your circumstances. Thank you, Shreyas!" Shreyas Doshi Aditya Turalapati David Prentice lnkd.in/gveF9Zsw

Ever wondered how to plan your Product Management career ? I was part of the last cohort of Shreyas Doshi's "Managing your PM career in 2024" course 1️⃣ Covered fundamental questions on skills, competencies, frameworks, prioritization, decision making, career growth and much more 2️⃣ Not just emphasized treating PM career as a product but provided practical guidance on how to do it and how he did it 3️⃣ Addressed hard truths that might be uncomfortable but thought-provoking. With real examples and working sessions with an engaging cohort from across the world, it is an overall super useful course that I will be referring to continually. Here's a great read if you are in a PM career Also got to meet David and Sharad! #productmanagment #pmjobs #productmanager

Another wonderful weekend of learning from the best, this time with the unique Shreyas Doshi. He is one of the best teachers when it comes to anything related to product management. I wish I had known about him when I was first learning about product sense! 😅 His course "Managing your PM Career in 2024 and Beyond" provided an excellent review of key concepts, as well as an abundance of insightful and practical advice drawn from his prolific product management career in Silicon Valley over the past 20 years. I am confident that anyone would come away from his course as at least 1% better PM, and that alone makes the course invaluable. 💰 In my case, I not only learned a great deal from the course content itself, but I also learned a lot about communication. How Shreyas was able to fully captivate the audience. When he says "Important point ahead, stop multitasking" before making a key point, everyone became focused. 👀 He also did not shy away from hard truths that as PMs we know but sometimes avoid. 😣 Thanks, Shreyas Doshi for such an exceptional and memorable weekend of learning. 🙌 lnkd.in/enQdps4j

Lead and Sr. PMs, If you've been contemplating how to strategically plan your PM career for the long-term, focusing on what really matters and works best for you, then Shreyas Doshi's course is an invaluable investment in 2024. This past weekend, I took Shreyas Doshi's course, Managing Your Product Management Career on Maven. It was simply fantastic. 3 things I LOVED about the course: 🔥 Shreyas did not hold back from dishing out hard truths, challenge conventional wisdom, and give us all a good virtual stare-down when necessary. His passion in those moments was intense, unwavering, and heartfelt. 🧠 Throughout the two days, there were lots of extremely practical and implementable ideas and templates - but they were ALWAYS backed up by the underlying thinking that made them relevant to the scenario at hand. This is how you ensure the lessons are timeless, not fleeting. 💎 Shreyas' exceptionally clear clarity of thought, with golden nuggets everywhere. This is evident throughout his public writing and speaking, and was one of the main reasons why it was a no-brainer for me to sign up to the course. The course itself lasted 8 hours spread over two days, plus an extra couple hours of Ask Me Anything Q&A with Shreyas. It also came with a lot of pre-read materials (which I'm going to have a post-read pass through too), a long worksheet, the recordings from the weekend, exclusive podcast-like recordings with product leaders and recruiters, and access to his Slack community for all course alumni. I had a few lightbulb realisations during and after the course, as well as a good amount of affirmation that I'm on the right track in my thinking and doing - which was a pretty nice balance 🥳 Overall, I'm expecting at least an ROI of at least 100x from taking the course. I don't mean this lightly. I would strongly recommend it to anyone who is an experienced product manager, as well as a lot of folks who work in similar or adjacent fields: Consultants, engineering leaders, design leaders, data leaders. The overwhelming % of the advice given is either easily transferable if you think it through, or completely relevant without having to fill in any gaps yourself. Shreyas, Shre, and the rest of the course team: Thank you for a fantastic weekend. #productmanagement #career

What a weekend! Diving into Shreyas Doshi's 'Managing Your PM Career' course was the best way I could've spent my time and money. The stuff he taught us? How to be a better product manager and how to manage one's career the same way we manage products. Totally actionable from day one. Among the top three courses I've ever taken. I recently did the Shreyas Doshi's Managing your PM Career in 2024 and beyond where he shared his personal examples and experiences. Totally an eyer opener. Loved how strategically and personalized Shreyas taught with systematic, structured manner with amazing frameworks. With so much of learning from seniors product leaders around the globe and to interacting with them and brainstorming in break out rooms. Highly recommend. Looking to enroll? Here is the link for his upcoming cohort in April. As always love the Maven learning experience. lnkd.in/gdciwdCV #productmanagement

For any Senior+ PMs and Product Leaders out there who are looking for a strategic, systematic, approach to navigating the next few decades of your career growth (especially in a rapidly changing tech landscape), I just completed Shreyas Doshi’s Managing Your PM Career in 2024 course and couldn’t recommend it more. I'm blown away by the depth of insight he offered in such a short time span (just one weekend). Not only are there a ton of incredibly useful – immediately applicable – frameworks, resources, and content, there’s also a great community. Thank you Shreyas! Link for the next cohort here:

I recently completed Shreyas Doshi's (Shreyas Doshi) insightful course on 'Managing Your PM Career in 2024 (lnkd.in/g3fc9piZ) and Beyond' via the Maven Platform, and it was a transformative experience. This course, with its refreshing approach, stood out as a beacon of clarity and inspiration in the often-convoluted experience with career coaching and advice available elsewhere for product management professionals. What sets this course apart is Shreyas's ability to blend tactical, actionable guidance with strategic thinking. His sessions were replete with real-world examples, making the complex concepts easily digestible. Moreover, his willingness to share his personal journey added a layer of authenticity and inspiration. It felt less like a lecture and more like a mentor sharing wisdom gained through years of triumphs and challenges. I came away from the course with a toolkit of strategies for navigating the intricacies of product management, and a renewed sense of purpose in my career. Shreyas’s emphasis on not just professional growth, but also personal development, resonated deeply with me. This course is a must-attend for any Senior Product Professional looking to elevate their career to the next level. Shreyas doesn’t just teach you how to be a better product professional; he guides you on how to be a visionary leader in the tech world. For those seeking to make a significant impact in their roles and organizations, this course is a game-changer. I hope I can be an alumni participant in future sessions.

Over the weekend, I had the incredible opportunity to be part of Shreyas Doshi's live course on Managing your PM Career alongside a group of remarkable product leaders. It was my first paid course in Product Management. Although I was hesitant initially about whether I should join, enrolling in this course was undoubtedly one of the best decisions I have made recently! Shreyas was brutally honest and open during the entire course. Although I have watched many of his talks and read his tweets and articles, I have never seen him speak so candidly. This is not a typical career management course that you would normally come across. I can confidently say that this is the best practical career management course available for Product Managers. Shreyas is an exceptional source of thought-provoking insights. His enthusiasm for teaching and passion for everything related to product is truly inspiring. The practical advice and frameworks provided in the course are game-changers, and I've never delved so deeply into my career and personal goals before. The timing of this experience couldn't have been more perfect. If you are a Senior PM or higher, seeking actionable guidance for your career, look no further. I had the chance to complete Shreyas Doshi course in PM career management and the title might be miss leading... For me the title should be: to build great products a PM must manage his career. Personal growth is always a consequence of building competence, delivering, and gaining visibility through clear communication. In our world, the order of factors alters the product!
