I absolutely love Through the Word. I shared it with each individual in my extended family through text message. My brother started listening and gave his life back to the Lord. He is a living testimony of your hard work and Gods great mercy. That’s what it’s all about!!!!

TTW has been and will continue to be a wonderful to be a great blessing to me. Why because studying the Bible is what arms you against the devil's tatics.I start out my day,every day, with this app. The teachers' insights and styles keep things fresh. I am now restarting the journeys for a second time. I just finished journey 1 and going to journey 2, and I can't wait! God bless TTW.

My Dad and my cousin Laura told me about TTW when I was wanting to really dive into the Bible and didn't know how to begin.It was a game changer for me.I now have been guiding a Bible study for 2.5 years and I use your app to start the Bible study.When I talk to people who haven't read the Bible and don't know where to start I show them the app and set it up for them.Its an amazing!Thank you so much for listening to God and creating such an amazing tool to help people read the Bible and help people understand,get excited and to continue getting closer to the Lord and his truth!!God bless you!

I have been a member of TTW many years, have gone through the journeys and filled several journals. I love the new feature where we can do group studies together. I always tell people who are searching for a way to study the Scriptures about TTW.

Before I discovered TTW I used to feel obligated to read a certain number of chapters in my Bible each day, but now I only read one a day, and I get so much more out of it than before! Now I read my chapter, listen to the lesson designed specifically for it and many times that prompts me to examine the text even closer by reading a concordance or doing a study of a verse that spoke to me. I just love TTW and it has become a daily habit for me. I just finished the book of Ezekiel and I got so much more from it than I ever have! Thank you and God bless!

I stumbled across through the word in the you version app during the pandemic. I was a youth pastor at the time and burned out with ministry. I found myself no longer enjoying christian service as it had become just another 9-5 job for me. I come from a more legalistic branch of Christianity and although the teachers around me mean well, the end result is often a God that is always looking for a reason to punish you and whose teachings are extremely burdensome. I needed help, but I needed to find a teacher I could trust. I listened to one of the through the word plans and was refreshed to see the Bible taught as it was written, with no ulterior motive. Through listening to TTW I have truly discovered Christ's burden, which is truly light. TTW is now my go to reccomendation for people looking for a devotionals. Thank you TTW, and keep pushing forward.

From the beginning of the year, our pastor has been suggesting the use of Through the Word to our congregation. He mentioned that it is a great and easy way to hear and understand scripture. I came to Through the Word about midway through this year, when I was looking to understand, the story of Jacob wrestling God, I needed some clarity and I sent a message to our pastor. He referred me to the Through the Word passage and Genesis in reference to the story, it brought me so much clarity and understanding that I messaged my pastor that I didn’t need him to give me any other answer that God spoke to me through this application. After that encounter, I shared that passage with my mom and friends and started using it. I have now completed three plans and I’m almost through my fourth plan in Jeremiah . It’s been an amazing adventure and I’m looking forward to conquering even more plans in 2024.

I love this app! Honestly really helping me get through my bible reads daily with something to think about after, thanks to the team that speaks and breaks it down after. Its like having a pastor in your pocket giving you a better understanding of what you just read/heard 👌.. God bless everyone involved in the Through the Word app 🙏

I have been a Christian for 25+ years. I and my bride are loyal members of our church. We both have used several different ways of reading the Word of God. I just recently discovered this Through The Word app through a dear friend of mine. I am so much in love with it. I use the Bible then "sermonette" explanation and am very much enjoying it. Both your pastors and mine are excellent at making the passage understandable for "common people." Thank you!!

Our church started reading the Bible in a year as a church project. We are in the last couple of weeks of the challenge. I have always struggled with understanding what the word was saying,for l am a factual reader if that makes sense. A friend at church told me about this app when we started. It has been such a Godsend for me! The way you guys break down the chapters and explain it , has helped me to understand God's word and gave me a hunger to study it further. YouVersion Study Group: We have a study group and we use YouVersion for a supplemental Bible study resource. We use Through the Word every chance we get! The chapter of James is an eye opener. I have experienced many things this passed year, my job, people, discouragement, happiness, and most of all decisiveness. I've learned no matter what, it is so easy to judge, to grumble, having arrogance. But James, walks you through his teachings and clearly states what I need to do. It gets easier and easier each day. I can overcome anything.

I was introduced to the App this summer and I committed to follow the plan. I started in June and I have been listening daily. I can’t thank you enough for this. The understanding of the chapters has opened my ears and my heart. I get it!! I understand!! Everything makes sense when you explain what everything I am reading means. Praise the Name of the Lord!. Today is day 2 of my trying out TTW as I continue to work towards consistent Bible study. My friends and I have been talking about studying the Word together but were yet to get started. I embarked on a personal journey seeking a Bible oriented app that would get us there. I believe TTW is it. I have shared with my friends and encouraged them to explore it. My highlight was the package by topic. Hi TTW Family I came across your app from You Version and have loved it ever since. Often I find listening on the train to work which for me is about 45 minutes is the best way to prepare for my day. I have just finished Phillipians and find I am just blown away by what is in there. I love it and share what touches me via text or social media. I have to say Daniel, Ezekiel and Revelation my favourite so far. Bless you from New Zealand

By the grace of God, I was saved in 2012. Since then, the Lord has placed a deep desire within me to be used by God to bring my family to the Lord. Two years ago, the Lord started stirring the heart of my sister. What resource has He primarily used? Through the Word. My sister and I have been through many of the Bible studies from Through the Word and it has given us both a deeper love of the Lord and a desire to be in His word every day. And because of that, my sister now knows the Lord! Thank you, Through the Word, for being the vessel God used to pour into my sister (and me as well). What a gift!

The plan through the New Testament in a year has made me want to know more our Lord Jesus. I do get my strength for him and so very blessed and thankful. Have told our grown children about the app. and several in our church. Thank you and your staff for making the scriptures clearer and more understanding, in a way that was enjoyable and meaningful at the same time.Truly has opened my eyes and heart more. My husband and I both have grown spiritually.

I found TTW first on the YouVersion Bible app when I wanted to dive more into the Bible book by Book. It has helped me understand what I am reading and the importance of every chapter. I help teach Cubbies room for the Awana program at my church and the other teachers in who help teach get together Sunday morning from Bible study. During our discussions/lessons I had mentioned TTW and what I learned pertaining to what we were learning for that particular study and they all were curious. They all downloaded the app and all use it now stating they also have learned so much from it.

I am 57 years old. I started going back to church a year ago and we have small connect groups in our church and I attended one and somebody told me about Through The Word. Since then I have been doing my daily Bible study with this as I read the Bible through in the year and I'm right on track thank you very much you have helped me learn the Bible and understand it so much better. And anytime somebody tells me that they're having a hard time understanding the Bible's I always recommend Through The Word I've probably recommended it to 20 or 30 people over the last year.

Thank you to Payton Jones for taking me through Leviticus in this plan. Such a boring book (that I usually skipped) was actually explained in such a way that I now understand it. To all the Bible teachers, thank you for explaining each chapter in the Bible I understand so much more every time I listen. I am also nearly done with the New Testament in 1 year through the Bible app. I followed a Bible plan a few years ago from TTW and that is how I discovered your app. I love the jokes, music and movie references. Just for your records, I am from South Africa, but have been living in Abu Dhabi for the last 7 years.

In 2004 God said to me in a dream as I op the bible "You don't know me" That dream scared me. I started studying the bible and read through the bible every day in my native language. I found TTW in 2017 and started from journey 1 to 19 and you guys answered some questions, because I family had to walk a difficult road. We started our own Facebook group in 2017 called "Prayer Warriors Facing The Storm" and in 2021 we started a T-SHIRT evangelism business called AngelicSword in South Africa. This was some fingerprint TTW left on my purpose and my journey. Thank you. Now to give back I start a new journey and this time with groups. I have shared and ask my groups to join me . You see Prayer Warriors facing the STORM as grew to 760 followers and AngelicSword to almost 2500 followers. I hope rhe will join me on this new adventure. See we are not just called to be disciples we are called to be disciple-makers and with this TTW it make it so much easier. I love it for 7 years now. I have listen to TTW in the train, in the car and lately Ias I wark from home I have set my alarm 04H30 and afterwards I write my prayers to share. I love the marriage devotional and plans because it really keeps me focused on my goals and keeping my relationship with my husband lined up with the word of God. I just know following God and how He sees marriage means more to me than anything!!! I love learning and continuing to take my commitment seriously, I’m truly blessed to have my husband and I know God wants me to follow through with my vows!

I found TTW through a reading plan on YouVersion. I love how TTW & YouVersion can work in tandem instead of competing to draw listeners away from each other. Well done.

I never really read the Bible cover to cover only bits and pieces here and there. I have a hard time retaining what I read, so I would get discouraged and stop. My sister told me about TTW and it has changed my life! Jesus has always been a part of my life, I don't recall ever a time that I did not know him, but to be able to be guided through his word has made me so much closer to him. I understand things now that I never did before. It has truly helped me get closer to our savior. I suggested the app to my niece and she loves it. TTW has helped me establish a Bible and prayer habit over the last 2 years. I honestly miss it if I can’t do it for some reason. It’s food for my soul! Also it’s given me an easy tool to recommend to friends, especially those women in my Bible study group. I’ve recommended it as a way of doing additional study on the Bible book we are studying. I discovered Through the word on the youVersion Revelations plan in my bid to understand the book more and ever since I have been hook. The Bible teaching here has encouraged me to also start teaching the word in my local church. I am now by the grace of God, a Sunday school teacher and youth pastor for my church. I have more to say about the impact of this app but I just bless God for these app that has blessed me so much.

THROUGH! THE! WORD! This literally has been the best "gift" I've gotten. I grew up in the church, literally....born and raised. And of course I went through my "it's just church" phase but in the past few years, especially since covid hit, I've been really really curious about the Bible and how everything ties together and how it relates to the present day. My mother has been listening to TTW for about 4 or so years and I just so happened to be listening to Kris Langham commentating and breaking down one of the books of the Bible in the New Testament and I was just floored because it made so much sense to me. My mom immediately shared the app with me and said check it out in conjuction with "One Story That Leads to Jesus", a 365 day read/study of the Bible from beginning to end. And let me just say I've never been happier. I get to read the word book by book, chapter by chapter and then come to TTW and have it explained to me. It's helped me find ways to build on my trust in God, understand how ALL THINGS work together for my good BECAUSE I love Him, and most importantly helped me build on my relationship with God. I am so so so grateful to Kris Langham for taking what God gave to him and sharing with us. ☺️

Hello, my name is Janet and I am dealing with so much!! I am raising my 2 grandsons age 13 & 2, my husband is in the nursing home, I am disabled and spent 2 months in the hospital last summer, as well as my dayghter is homeless and addicted to drugs!! My plate is so full!! I don’t know how to deal with life so much of the time!! I feel like God hates me!! I am saved I know, I go to church, pray, and read ThroughThe Word and I love it!! I love TTW and the teachers as well as be I love that we can pick our devotional based on what we are going through each season!! Please pray for me because I have so many fears about my life and what might happen! I fear loosing the kids, loosing my home, loosing my husband, and so many fears!! Before I found any TTW content I actually started listening to a variety of different plans in the YouVersion app until I came across a TTW plan done by pastor Kris. The other plans that I listened to were great but this plan was just amazingly different. My eyes were opened and I started to do searches for other TTW plans in the YouVersion app. Eventually I just decided to get the TTW app and I’ve been using it ever since. Later down the line I became a donor because I believed that God was working through your ministry and I wanted to show my support. Thank you for all the hard work and sacrifice you guys put in to make amazing content that’s easy to understand for all of us!

I’m 68 and a very new Christian of less than a year saved by baptism, repentance and declaring (and believing) that Yeshua is the Son of Adonai, that he is the perfect sacrificial lamb that was crucified, died and rose from the dead to pay the debt for our sin. In my new walk I host a Bible study in my home. The other men are of, what I call, a Hebraic mindset. That is they attempt to keep the Torah and its dietary law and festivals. I was somewhat confused and concerned until I read Galatians where I hear Paul telling me, loud and clear, that I am not obligated to the law any longer. Bible scholars say that the Bible can be difficult to understand and I agree but TTW explains things as to give the listener a good general understanding and a reference point from which additional research may proceed. Long testimony warning lol, I will summarize it as much as possible. 2021 I lost my Mom to complications in the hospital. She was very young in my opinion, 58 years young. We had just gone down to here state to celebrate with the entire family my daughter’s birthday. Since we still had several Covid regulations to follow we celebrated as best as we could. We flew back home and 6 days later she fell ill and then less than a week later she was gone. That started a world of emotional hurt for me. The last thing she did before we flew back was hugged me and told me that I had nothing to blame myself for. That hug, I can sometimes still feel that hug, it was different so I went back for another one. My spouse was able to capture that second hug on a picture. My mom was my super hero, there’s nothing mom couldn’t beat. Nothing mom didn’t have an answer for or words of wisdom just when I needed them and when I thought I didn’t. I grew up in a Christian home, she always in her own ways tried to guide me to stay in church and seek God. I in the other hand always questioned everything. In my teenage years I made it so difficult for both my parents. I wasn’t purposely trying to, I always just wanted to escape the stress, the bad news all the time, etc. My dad had cancer since I turned 15 till after I graduated high school. I saw God’s Love and mercy in the middle of it all and I turned my life to Him when I turned 18. Then I left church again and met my now wife. I write all that to lead to this. My mother was my rock, the person I would call and without saying a single word, she knew and she would have the perfect advice always. How can that be? She always quoted scripture and always told me to pray and trust God. “Seek God first son…” So when she passed away, I felt as if my whole world was turned upside down. I had my first panic attack right outside the hospital as we had received the news that her condition was worst and she had suffered 2 major strokes. I remember praying one night when I was around 17 and I very ignorantly warned God. “If you take my parents from me, I will make it my mission to tell the whole world that you are not real”… I thank Him for not striking me then and there. The nerve of that kid, I’m very ashamed of that prayer but that prayer came to mind when my mom passed away. I was telling myself, no there’s no way, my mom did not leave without saying good bye!. As we got to the hotel ( long story) I was telling me beautiful wife and children, where’s my mom’s phone?. I turned it on and I was browsing her pictures and there it was. Her beautiful face with the play symbol over it. I cried because I knew it. I pressed play, my spouse and children started watching it with me. I couldn’t believe her words, everything she was saying. Every ounce of anger or frustration I had just dropped off of me. “Lord, I don’t understand why you took her, but I thank you for every minute you allowed me to share with her as my mother.” That’s it, that’s all that I could say. After her funeral and once we got back home, the pain was there every day, I still felt as if I was alone even though I was surrounded by my beautiful wife and children. I started getting scared “what if I’m also sick” “what if” the what ifs began to control my life. Fast forward to July of 2022. My brother and father had come to visit us. We were in a restaurant and I began to feel something strange ( I didn’t know it was an anxiety attack). We finished diner and decided to window a bit, I began to feel ill. After a few minutes long story short the ambulance was called and I was taken to the E.R. . Doctors could not find something wrong, so they labeled it as GERD or anxiety. “Anxiety”? I remember asking. My stomach did not get better instead I kept going to urgent care E.Rs for 4 months. Through this process I was dealing with a lot of fears. What if, what if, what if?… I started searching in YouTube “anxiety” I came across pastor Craig Groeschel, after his sermon I downloaded the Bible app and went to their bible devotionals. I saw one that had the title “Anxiety (Part 1)” While going through the devotional, I was waiting on doctors and test etc. God guided me at the right time to an urgent care and the doctor saw me very weak at that point. He did some blood test and then said you know what let’s do this test. He gave me small cup and gloves, yeah it was a stool test. While waiting on those results, I had started listening to the devotional of Job. I finally got the results! It was positive for H. Pylori. My anxiety was at its highest! I googled Kris Langham, trying to find part 2. lol. I came across TTW app. I downloaded and began to read the word more, I began to do what my mother has been for years, I began to put God first. I thanked Him for every morning, because every night was a struggle to sleep, I kept thinking if it was my last night. I strongly believe that God has perfect timing, as I continued to do my treatment and waiting on further appointments with my GI. I kept studying and listening to the word every day, it became my obsession. I had gone through a lot of devotionals then I got an appointment to due a endoscopy and colonoscopy. When I came out of the imaging and got the results, I for the first time, can honestly say what Job said to God. “ I had only heard about You before, but now I have seen You with my own eyes” the doctor had found 2 polyps that were pre-cancerous and at my age the risk of turning into cancer were high given that most people won’t even get a colonoscopy until the age of 40. I have a lot to learn, I have a lot of studying to do. But I thank God for people like the folks at TTW that hear the calling and are willing to listen and follow. From a person like myself that doesn’t like reading much the audio definitely encourages me to dig deeper and read more on my own. I still struggle a bit with anxiety but thank GOD that He has full control. I’m sorry for the long comment. Maybe a video would have been faster lol. One day.

TTW has helped me cultivate a consistent bible reading habit, I've gained deeper insights into God's word, will and ways, and share same with work colleagues and friends. Thank you Pastor Kris and the TTW Team.

I get up every morning at 4 am to read the Word and do devotionals. My husband now reads TTW with me. It’s been a wonderful journey. We’ve gone through the Bible with you at least twice. I've been a believer for most of my life, but there were always some books of the Bible that never really held a lot of meaning for me. While I knew that all scripture is God-breathed, I just had a hard time really getting my head or heart around a good handful of books ... UNTIL one of my best friends told me about Through the Word. Oh my! Suddenly, Leviticus and Numbers had so much to say to my heart! Daniel and Revelation became SO much less intimidating. The biggest one - in more ways than one :) - was Psalms. I knew I should be getting more encouragement from them, but only a handful ever resounded with me until TTW. Praise God for using TTW to make scripture come alive. I tell everyone to download this app!

I started using TTW several years ago and fell in love immediately. I couldn’t get enough and would often listen to many chapters each morning. It was so exciting to me to learn so much about God, how to live out my faith, and to understand the Bible in a way I never had before. I learned so many new things and would share them with my mom, who has been one of my biggest spiritual mentors. I felt so blessed and grateful and my life felt perfect. I thought I had it all together and that I understood God so well. I felt like a really good Christian who could be an example to others. Then my world came crashing down when my husband was diagnosed with colon cancer on September 1, 2021. He passed away exactly one month later on October 1st. In an instant, my life was turned upside down. My husband was our sole financial provider and I had four kids depending on me to get us through. Six months later, I was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer and I found myself asking God, “where are you and why does life have to be so hard?” Through the last two years, I have learned what true dependence on God really looks like. All the Bible verses about God being our provider and telling us not to worry, took on a whole new meaning for me. I have no choice but to rely on God to provide everything for us and he literally has gotten us through every obstacle, every day since my husband passed. I have drawn so much closer to God through this journey that we are still on. TTW is my favorite app. It has taken me a while to come back to it and really dive into learning again, but I am so grateful for your teaching!!! You make it so easy to understand the Bible and how it relates to my life….that it’s not just old stories that aren’t relevant. I plan to share it with everyone who will listen to me. Thank you so much for all you do!!! You are showing me new ways every day to live out my faith and not just read it. You’ve helped me understand how to have a real and meaningful relationship with God. I am so grateful for you!!

TTW was shared to me by a friend. We are committed to going through it together. I love we can both go through it at different times but stay on point together.

Over Covid my 8th grade son and his friends started a Bible study. They STARTED in Revelation! Made since as it was such a scary time. I was always so intimidated and scared to read it but thought I better get on it just in case he comes to me. I was doing the Bible app at the time and asked my good friend if she knew of a good Bible study of Revelation. She suggested TTW. Not only was the Revelation study AMAZING I finally understood it. Even more exciting was JESUS speaking at the very end!!! I was SHOCKED and so relieved. I felt like Buddy the Elf. I KNOW HIM!!! 🤣 I was hooked on TTW ever since and have shared it with soooo many. I've also done Revelation multiple times because I just love it. I enjoy them all but find myself repeating some. (Rev. and Romans) I do TTW every morning and I'm a B sider! I also appreciate you encouraging people to study for themselves and not rely on you only as you are just a guide. I LOVE that. Thank you so much for what you do. It is making a HUGE difference.

My husband introduced me to Through the Word, and I've found it to be one of the best ways to delve deep into Scripture. We lead a Bible study at our church, and we used the Daniel TTW study to assist us. The study was especially helpful for the esoteric prophecies in Daniel. I plan to start the NT in a Year plan in 2024 with some friends from church and hope someday TTW will have an OT in a Year plan!

I started with journey 1. I am finally getting to understand what it is all about. Jesus! I never really understood the Bible because I never had it explained like Chris does. I would ask at church but never really got the answers. Thanks for opening my eyes to Jesus!

My name's is Ismael and I recently lost my girlfriend to an overdose on October 9th. I had learned through my 12 step program to rely on God but have never built a relationship with him. After a week or so of questioning and even expressing my anger towards God, something told me I needed to completely turn my life over to him. I was too tired and defeated to even care to carry on..I got baptized but then was struck with the inability to feel God through scripture. My friend then recommended your app and it has gotten me closer than any other method. When I get sad or start being pestered by the thought that life isn't worth it, I turn the app on and go about my day. Any time anyone asks about how I learned scripture, I immediately refer this app to them

Through the Word has helped me so much on my journey through the word of God. When I first started earlier this year back in April as a sophomore in college, I had no idea how to study the word. I had no idea what a lot of it was saying, and it was so hard for me to make connections. That's when I made it a goal of mine to eventually go through the whole Bible by alternating between an Old Testament and New Testament book. I started with Exodus after experimenting with another YouVersion plan going though the Genesis. Once I started, I was hooked. Pastors Kris and Peyton made it so easy for me to understand what the Bible was trying to tell me, especially when I was going through Numbers. Through the Word helped me through a very depressing time in my life when I was having suicidal thoughts during the summer before my junior year at Texas A&M University. Because of Through the Word, I have felt closer to God then ever. Reading my Bible for an hour every morning has changed my life in so many ways. Thank you to Pastor Kris and Pastor Peyton for starting me on my journey and thank you to Through the Word for continuing to teach me that the Bible has something for everyone even a college kid with Cerebral Palsy like myself. I am a daughter, wife, mother, Grammaw I’ve been in church actively for over 32 years. I was told about through the word about a year ago and since then I can barely turn it off. You are with me every morning while I get ready for work. I have never had the understanding I have now for the word of God. Thank you so much for doing this podcast. It has given me a deeper connection to the word of God. And has helped me so much in my own personal Bible studies.

After the loss of my husband under some shocking circumstances, I felt lost and alone. I had my drop to my knees moment when the coroner came to gather him. I went from married, mom of a junior in hs to widowed, single mother in an instant. Needless to say the world was spinning and I was spinning with it. In the midst of it I heard his voice calling me and I took off running to find Him. I've always wanted to read the Bible in its entirety, but couldn't get past the begats. I was introduced to TTW by at the time, a friend, who has now become my husband. As I was searching for God, as was he, God was bringing us together. We are on separate studies currently I'm working on journey number 5 and he's working his way through Ecclesiastes. We attend Bible study at our beloved church, and study together the chapter of discussion. TTW has prompted so many deep conversations with my husband, I can't help but share it with whomever I can....including my now 20 year old daughter who has, as of this past Wednesday, dedicated her life to Jesus PRAISE GOD!!! We've deemed her testimony title "Saved by Chili". That's a story for another time, but it is incredible! Thank you for giving us the tools to knit our little family back together. We have 3 other children from his previous marriage that I know, in His timing, will have a testimony just as powerful as our 20yr old...and I truly believe TTW will be part of their foundation of understanding the amazing message of salvation and grace written within the pages of God's word. Thank you for being apart of our story, and helping to satisfy the craving of understanding who our God is. Keep those mind blowing revelations coming, we can't get enough!!!! Thank all of you for your amazing messages and plans, Through the Word staff and families. I truly appreciate all of your sacrifices, I didn't grow up going to church very often or even reading my bible, and was not pursuing my faith, I attempted to read the bible just My wife and I several times but we would always hit a wall at some point or not get the full scope of what was happening in scripture. until someone in my wife and I's connection group mentioned to me that they used an app that explained the books of the bible in great detail, So i downloaded this app and have been a raging fan ever since. I never knew that Bible study was allowed to be fun. I tell everybody I can to the point that my wife and some very close friends of mine roll their eyes when I get started talking about this app. I got my in-laws to start using it as well as my brother and his wife and my wife and I are walking through acts right now with the new together feature which we love. Now I am obsessed with trying to figure out more about our heavenly father, and all of his servants. I made it my goal to complete through the word in a year, as I drive around the DFW area a bunch for my job. I always look forward to turning it on and listening a little more about God's design. Lastly These Teachers I cannot thank you enough, The Holy Spirit used your teachings to convinct me to seek baptism, and I was Baptized this last August 2023, at 24 years old and have been growing in my faith every single day. Now I am volunteering for our youth ministry during the week, donating to my church so they can build their own church building, and playing Basketball with church leadership on Friday mornings, all things if you told me a year ago are things I am doing much less, wanted to do, I would've called you crazy. I know ultimately It Is Christ who saved me, as he does all of us, but please don't discount your part in it as well. I cannot express how grateful I am enough to all of you. I started off with the goal to read the bible in a year using this app, and I am happy to report I am 62% of the way though my first official Maiden voyage through Scripture With 809 guides completed 87% of the new testament and 55% of the old testament completed. with my start date in August. This is a considerable increase from reading about one chapter a week though church or my at home studies with my wife. ps. Tell Sandy Adams I've stolen quite a few of his jokes. psps. Could I suggest putting a feature in the progress tab of having a date when you first downloaded the app in the progress & Favorites section as a way to convict people to see how far they've come from the exact day they downloaded the app. I could probably fill up a book with how much this Christ has helped and changed me through His word and this app so I will leave this here, so hopefully one of you might seek the gospel as I have and thousands of others come join the fun!

I just finished John, with Peyton Jones. What a privilege. How God applied each teaching to my situation everyday, such as when I had to leave one church and God sent me elsewhere to be fed and Shepherded. GOD reminded me of the parishes and how they didn't shepherd right. When I lost a dear friend the teaching was on how Jezus wept over Lazarus. Also Peyton, I have been a nurse for 30 years and a womens Bible study teacher, I can relate to seemingly senseless deaths, but also the incredible privilege of walking people to the edge of heaven, and comforting the grieving with the comfort I have received, and the priveledg3 of suffering with and for Christ as momentary affliction. I am so grateful for my friend Anneke Reeves who introduced me to this podcast, I try to listen everyday as I go for my morning walk and come back refreshed physically and spiritually thank you for your faithful service.

I started Through The Wod because my husband and I did a devotional on YouVersion. Loved it. We have been hooked on both! All the teachers are great! We love the hidden song titles and the 80's references! Please keep on keeping on!

I love this app! A friend had shown me this app over a year ago. I have never understood God’s word before this. I spent 12 years in a Baptist church and feel as though I never learned all that I could. I am on journey 6 and my unbelieving husband gets up every morning with me prepares our coffee and sits down to hear my Bible study. We discuss it and I pray and he sits silently. My daughter also has downloaded the app and does a study every morning while at the gym. Thank you all for sharing your gentle words and explaining each chapter to me and family!!

This app has transformed my entire Bible reading experience words cannot express how grateful I am for the explanation of each and every chapter you give it has helped me to understand and learn about God in a way I never imagined it has literally brought me to my knees especially the book of Hosea that I just finished reading I was struggling with sin in my life. The sin of fear doubt and worry I couldn’t shake it off God has set me free through your teaching and the Word of God. Thank you . I first came across Through the Word on my Bible app. My mom had just passed away, I had a 10 day old baby, and I was sinking fast. My cousin suggested the Bible app and some devotionals on grief and loss. I dove head first - some devotions I did numerous times - anything to make sense of what was happening in my life. My obsession then turned to heaven, and I found the TTW study on Revelation. I listened to it over and over (and yes Pastor Kris, I will meet you at the base of the Tree of Life, first Thursday, at 2pm!). I wanted to know more… I downloaded the app and started on the Journeys. Now, I’ve stuck to it every day, currently doing the NT in a Year, and I make notes on every chapter as I go. I’ve always believed, but now I feel like I’m really developing a relationship with Jesus!

I want to thank you for the teachings in TTW. I can't start my day without it. It does help me to under stand the word more and how I need to live my life. Doing it with a friend is such a blessing. Thank you again.

Hello.My name is Brenda.I am from Kenya.I bumped into TTW on You version Bible app when I wanted to study the book of Genesis.It felt like I was reading Genesis for the first time ever!The book was explained in so much detail that I paid attention to things I would have likely overlooked. I was specifically touched my Sandy Adam's teaching on the book of Job. I was going through a rough season in life at the time and Pastor Sandy's explanation shifted my whole view and I got out of the dark place I was in mentally,emotionally and spiritually.

I was raised in church and always went to church but never read my Bible outside of church. In 2022 we lost our 5th child. I was determined not to let it turn my heart bitter to God, and I had the thought that I've never read the Bible all the way through. I had the youverse app and searched Genesis study and through the word Genesis explained popped up. I enjoyed it so much that I downloaded the through the word app. There are so many things I didn't know that I have learned. The chapter by chapter explanation helps with understanding. I still haven't read the whole Bible yet but am enjoying working on it. God did bless us with our rainbow baby in July 2023 and he's my little Bible study buddy. I start my day with through the word and read through the chapter for that day in a few different versions. Your ministry aided God in helping me grow closer to him instead of running away from him in the hardest thing we had ever went through.

Honestly, this is an eye opener for me. Very inspirational and reveal the character of God. I am really touched and blessed. TTW is undoubtedly powerful and insightful. Thank you.

The biggest revelation for me in this journey was Romans 5 - 8 and Galations 6. We seem to have 3 options in the way we live. 1) to indulge our flesh and live lawlessness, 2) to live by a set of rules or moral compass. Both Christians and non Christians can live this way or a combination of both. But what this Journey crystallised out for me was that as believers God wants us to live neither of those two ways but the third way, living by the Spirit, in touch with the Spirit of God each moment, now that is exciting. Thankyou

TTW has had an enormous impact on my marriage. My husband and I are often rushed off to work before 5 AM, but we both listen to the same episode of TTW each morning on our way to work and discuss it when we get home. We have already made it through the New Testament and are now working our way through the old. My husband even made us a spreadsheet that planned out the year. I love how close we have drawn to God and, in turn, to each other.

This app has helped me view the Bible in a whole new light. I absolutely love this app. I’m getting a Home Church and they open their doors on Christmas Eve. I am saved and this app helps me get even closer to Jesus. Thank you all!!

It has brought my focus to Jesus What I mean is I look forward to spending time with pastor Chris, and he brings the word of God to light through his teachings ( and humor) I start my day " everyday" with through the Word the scriptures that follow and journalling afterwards giving myself deeper understanding of God's word and giving me a positive start every day for year's now. I started studying in Ephesians before my week vacation at Thanksgiving. There were problems of my own making with a co-worker. Listening to not only the A Side, but the B Side has really made an impact on how I perceive this co-worker and how I treat her. I’m ashamed and have repented of my treatment of her. She is very young and needs a mentor not a dictator. God reminded me that I need to be her teacher. So, I’ve started with that and this week has been so much more fun with her than I thought it would be. Thank You, God, for Kris and all his friends who sacrifice their time for Through the Word ministries. It has truly changed my life.

Thank you! Thank you! TTW is so easy to keep the Word in your heart and mind daily. Life gets busy and it’s easy to put off Bible study thinking I’ll do it before I go to bed. But I can take TTW with me on a trip in the car, listen while I’m working in the house alone or while I’m walking the dog. It has kept the Word close and makes other Bible study easier. I’ve enjoyed the sometimes different way to look at some scriptures. Makes me look at why I believe and strengthened my faith. God is so good! I thank Him often for you and your ministry. Thank you Kris, this app is amazing. I like everything about it. Jesus is always at the center in our life, the Gospel brings hope, wisdom, joy, love, compassion and health. Jesus is awesome, all true. Sometimes I picture myself being in the crowd where Jesus was passing through, and if I could just reach to touch a corner of his garments… I know I still have a chance now, Jesus says so.

I have been using the TTW app for a few years now and love it. I finished the OT in 2022 and the NT in 2023 and was planning to go back and re listen to the OT but decided to try out your 19 journeys. So far - great. They certainly jump around a lot and I am trying to figure out why they do that. I would really be interested in a chronologically written OT. I have read the Bible in chronological order and found it so much more understandable and meaningful in my faith walk. But to hear you do it in a chronological presentation would be awesome. I know that it is a costly venture. I try to financially support your ministry and will continue to do so. Thanks so much for your ministry.

This plan gives me a sense of peace. It helps to get an understanding of how to listen to God when he speaks. How to be faithful to his word. How he answers your deepest prayers in his time not yours. It teaches you to praise God even in your trials and tribulations.

TTW has given me insight to passages I have read 100 times before and find nuggets of gold that I missed. It gives me a place to go and know that Gods word is spoken, and I am growing from everything I learn to want to please my God daily.

I especially like these readings, makes the Bible more life like, and real. The narrators voices, are excellent, holds your attention.

When I first started listening to Through the Word, I knew it would be perfect for my Sunday school class. We were planning to study the book of Romans, so we began our lessons with Bible reading and the explanation. We had lively discussions based on the teachings. What a great tool it proved to be! I am so thankful for this study on law and grace! Through it I have truly seen how I have slipped from grace to trying to do this on my own. The teaching is clear, helpful and beneficial to the listener.

A friend from church recommended TTW. I have just finished Numbers and have never enjoyed or been so enthralled while reading through Numbers. Almost everyday there was something from the commentary that gave me pause or caused an actionable change in my heart, mind or life. I can not recommend this app enough!

TTW has been the best thing for my husband and me to go through the bible regularly together. For years my husband found reading the Bible or going to studies a problem, but now it is he who looks forward to our mornings listening together.
