Wow! I never realized how many famous Bible stories came from Genesis alone! This single book has been an eye opener and a mirror. I have seen my own life, played out on the pages. From Hagar and “ the God who sees me”, to Joseph’s brothers, and their struggle to believe in their forgiveness. Just wow! Thank you TTW!

I use TTW as my daily Bible reading and I love it!! There are days I can’t stop at one chapter because the way you describe the chapters, the characters, the settings & all the back stories makes it so easy to understand… you draw me in to want more!! Through the word has been amazing and really helped me get back into reading the word and just get a little bit more specific with the different chapters versus and familiarize myself with the thoughts behind the words. It has also been a great help with building my relationship with my dad and hearing his voice every day we don’t live in the same states so just being able to communicate that way And have things to talk about when we call each other things like that but just being able to our relationship. I’ve read the whole Bible in a year a few years ago and this has been great to actually analyze the word and not just read it because I think I missed a lot of parts. I mean, I read it all, but reading it in comprehending get her to three different things. This is a great study tool and I definitely love it and I recommend it to many people! Thank you keep doing what you’re doing. And thanks to all the pastors who are involved in these lessons because they are relevant and have great connections to the real world and , they just make it understandable.

My youngest daughter and I started doing studies together using the TTW app soon after you added the share together feature. It has been a very blessed journey to walk through various books and learn more about God, Christ, the different people in the Bible, and ourselves. It adds depth and beauty in this ever changing life. Thanks for putting this feature in, I know it multiplies the impacts in ways you didn't imagine.

I have just finished Chapter 2 of Acts and felt that I had to share the powerful impact I have felt whilst reading this chapter of the plan. I can relate to Peter, having felt so guilty about his past behaviour and how overwhelmed and unworthy he must have felt by the responsibility Jesus had placed on him. I can almost feel his nerves when he stands up to address the crowd. But Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, speaks so beautifully and eloquently that the people in the crowd were ‘cut to their core.’ In v.38 Peter explains to the crowd, when they look to the apostles for guidance, that they need to repent of their sins in Jesus’ name and be baptised, receiving the Holy Spirit. I found this is so incredibly moving. As someone who often feels overwhelmed and gets ‘imposter syndrome’ as a Christian, I came to realise that never did Jesus demand grand gestures or complex rituals. He never wanted or needed us to be perfect. But what he did ask of us was that we repent of our sins, love God and love one another. Never again will I tell myself I am not ‘good enough’ to be a Christian. Instead I will put my trust in God.

I've never really been good at bible studies I think this helps me with getting into the word and sharing it I've had several different books out of the Bible that I've done with through the word and it's helped me with accountability and getting closer to God two years ago my life changed when I decided to give my life to Christ I was broken addicted to drugs and homeless I now have been sober for 2 years plus I got my own apartment and a brand new relationship with my mom that I have not had for most of my life God have been so good to me his grace is so good to me I wonder if I even deserve it but anyway this is great for studying the Bible in a group form where you can't always come together you can take your time wherever You are and share your thoughts via through the word

Growing up in a Christian family I really thought I know the bible and understood but no I was wrong. The past years after I got married I started reading Christian book to boost me spiritual and not reading the bible, I could say I substituted books with the bible to help me grow and that didn’t help really understand God word.However with TTW I can now see that I was missing something in the book, reading God’s word for myself especially a whole chapter not just a quoted verse. Now I see that understanding a whole chapter matters to get where it all began, actually just quoting a verse without understanding what it means, why the words are said it dangerous. Thank you so much TTW family for helping me to actually grow and understand the bible.

I learned so much in this journey. There were things that I heard before, but didn’t understand them, and it was clarified and also things that I’ve never heard before. It’s definitely helping me to be closer to Jesus and to learn to live the way God would want me to live.

TTW has really amped up my relationship with Christ. I have a deep faith but haven't spent much time in the Bible outside of a few bible studies. This app has changed my life! I listen to it throughout the day and right before I go to sleep. It's really helped me understand more of who He is. I’ve been listening to Chris and his friends for about five years now. He has such a gift for teaching and a heart for the Lord. I really appreciate that he has continues to update content and expand the pool of talented pastors wiling to teach us. TTW has been and continues to be a real blessing in my life. My best friend and I listen to TTW every morning. We listen separately, and then discuss what we learned together. We both have really learned a lot from the various Journeys. I have personally grown much and hope to keep learning and getting closer to my Savior. I feel more confident in my Biblical facts, to be a better witness to others.

I thank God for your ministry. A lot of my friends and pastors love the 'through the Bible in a year' concept, but that just wasn't working for me. I think it's been a couple years now that I've started slowing down and taking it one chapter at a time and I am growing in leaps & bounds. I have been working my way through the OT and TTW has inspired such a passion for it! I can't get enough of God's word. Every morning I have "breakfast with Jesus" where I drink my tea, eat, & listen to TTW. Listening to a brief explanation of each chapter first is bringing The Word to life and Chris & all the other speakers feel like family. I talk about Breakfast with Jesus & the OT with anyone I can now. I've even inspired a friend or two to start their own Breakfast with Jesus. And next school year, I think I'll be teaching at a Christian school (if the Lord wills it), so I'll get to share the wealth even more! I've had some serious health problems over the last year and a half and God has used TTW to get me through anxiety, fear, self condemnation, loss of hope, and so many other dark times. While I haven't been able to contribute financially, know that you all have been and will continue to be covered in prayer. May God bless you & keep you.

I have listened and read many lessons and devotions through the years on the The Lords Prayer, and can truly say that through the power of the Holy Spirit, I have learned so, so much. Bible study doesn't have to be boring. I chanced on the app through an ad like any other but when I learned that all the features in the app were free to use without any interruptions, I decided to try it. It's been just 2 weeks but it has been an amazing experience. The audio discussion preceding each read provides a great introduction setting me up to understand the word better. The app is seamless to use and, it has everything I need to immerse myself in the Bible. The different reading plans provide flexible options and it is easy to track your progress. Other features like the group study are similarly terrific. TTW has enhanced my personal bible study and I always look forward to studying the word each day. I highly recommend TTW to anyone who wants an exciting bible study that fits into their routine no matter how busy. I have several translations of the Bible, but have always struggled to understand parts of it. This app explains it and does it well. I started with Genesis and found myself completing several chapters (instead of one) per day. This app makes reading the Bible interesting and fun. I am truly grateful for it!

Absolutely love love love this app! I don't think Ive ever written a review for an app but this one deserves one! It makes doing study plans and reading the Bible so much easier and less pressure. Not only does it guide but it also informs! I use it alongside my personal reading and i have realized that i WANT to read more of the Word because of this app but have never used it in place of it or have felt pressured to use the app. Pastor Chris has so much insight and i have yet to refute or question his knowledge. Love this app, Chris, the project behind it, and the Word!

I was listening to a political podcast whose audience is Christian conservatives. At one point they started talking about books of the Bible that had been kept from the world by the British royal family and the Vatican. Now, my first response was to roll my eyes. I don’t believe this is true. I actually feel like this is a trick to deceive people. However, it bothered me. The very next morning, I was walking my dog and praying. I specifically asked God to give me clarity and understanding about what I had heard. Literally , 30 minutes later on my way to work, I turned on Through The Word. I had been working my way through the New Testament so I picked up where I had left off the previous day. It just so happened to be Colossians 2 (B side)! My prayer was literally answered in a 30 minute time period. I was blown away. So, thank you for being an important part of my answered prayer :)

I have listen to several books now. I have enjoyed how the Pastors teaching. I really enjoy Sandy Adam teaching.

Through the Word has helped me commit to studying God‘s word daily, giving me valuable insight into the text, And helping me to understand scripture in new ways. Chapter by chapter and verse by verse has been the clearest way to hear the stories of God's people; people with serious flaws, imperfections, and ones who made bad decisions just like me! The stories along with the behind the scenes teaching has made it so real to me that I feel very strongly connected to the characters we are reading about. No matter which plan I read, God speaks to me about how to better rely on Him for the different things I am facing at the very moment I need to hear it. Truly, going through the word has strengthened my faith and helped me have conversations with perspectives I did not see before! I give to TTW because my every day is positively affected by how you bring studies of God! Most recently, Genesis and the new Esther plan have blown my mind so when I finish them, I know I'm coming backI to hear them again! Thank you for the wonderful work you do at TTW!

Peyton Jones is a favorite. He’s enthusiastic and has great energy. I love his analogies and listen intently, learning much. Then, to God for wisdom!

I walk 4-5 miles each morning. I’m 63 and have been going to church since I was born and was saved at 11. A few years ago I started reading the Bible through every year. On my walks I listen to different chapters on through the word through the app. I love the commentary even though I have listened to it all for all about 3 years in a row. It helps me understand better and each time I pick up different things from the commentary and the Bible reading portion. I reccomend your app to my friends. Thank you.

I serve in full time ministry with 10-20 year-old men primarily. TTW has become a tremendously valuable resource when trying to convey the meaning and value of God’s Word as I communicate largely to young men that have no spiritual background. We are plowing new ground and TTW helps make that possible in 3 ongoing weekly Bible studies and multiple team devotions every week throughout the school year. My words fail me in being able to give adequate thanks as TTW blesses me so much as I seek to be a blessing to the young men in my community. Thank you!

It has brought our group tighter together and with JESUS! God’s Holy Word proves on every single page that it’s straight from the HOLY SPIRT!!! I've been a Christian for 45 years. I've read through the entire Bible many times and in many different versions. I've sat under a number of great teachers and taught many Bible studies myself. I've got to say I'm really enjoying going through the Journey studies. I'm currently in Journey 5. The background, insight and humor have me enjoying quiet times more than ever. I rave about Through the Word to everyone who will listen and we are currently going through Jonah in our Care Group. Thank you for making this app free to all. I was introduced to Through the Word in YouVersion. It was a study in a portion of Revelation. I went to TTW to go through the whole book and I am HOOKED for sure! It’s such a thorough opening of the Word, chapter by chapter, followed by the beautiful reading of that chapter by Max McLean. I have it on my headphones when I take a walk and sometimes listen to 3 chapters a day. Rich, deepening, insightful, faith-enriching. I have recommended it to many people.

I love Kris Langham and all the people on Through the Word and their teachings. About halfway through the first session devotional of Revelations on the You Version Bible app I downloaded Through the Word app. I wanted to dig deeper into Daniel because of Kris’s teaching of Revelations. After finishing Daniel, I feel I have a better understanding of God’s plans and the exceptional servant Daniel was and the handling of his visions. I will be doing Daniel again with a friend.

Very good ty I'm 70 now and all alone. I've asked God for over 25 years now and nothing. I don't know why but I still believe that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior.

I built a good habit in my life by knowing Jesus better with each bible reading insight. I grew a positive practice with the Holy Spirit by applying the bible knowledge to my experiences. I am maintaining a healthy relationship with Christ and his principles in my situations to improve my life and to do good towards others.

I love Through The Word app. I recommend it to people I disciple. My husband & I use it in our couple's devotion time. We started in Acts and finished through Revelation. Then we went to Genesis and are now in 1 Chronicles. Our journey has been delightful, and the explanations of each chapter are very helpful. I like that TTW is updating some of their material. It keeps it fresh. I also use TTW in my personal readings. I recently finished Isaiah and have a deeper appreciation for his ministry.

Love the ease of use. Listening during my work day really helps me get through the day. Pastor Kris’ breakdown of the verses is really helpful understanding the Bible. I would highly recommend!

I’ve never read through the book of Joel before - even when I had previously read my BIOY! I think that I must have just glossed over it because Melanie really opened it out to me! It’s like a synopsis of The book of Revelation, which in itself is a synopsis of the Bible, which of course is an outline of the Plan of Salvation! I really “enjoyed” this journey through the word. For the first time, the book of Joel has depth and meaning. I really appreciate this insight and understanding. I will be sharing this insight with my Bible Study class, we’re looking at The book of Revelation and I don’t think that we’ve made the link! Thank you.

Hello TTW, I have been so blessed listening to your chapter by chapter messages each morning. God is doing a good work through you. Thank you! Yesterday I listened to your breakdown of James 2 in the side B message. It seems that instead of using Paul or James as the points of emphasis for our salvation we should be focusing on what the Author of our faith says. In John 15 Jesus says we need to have faith in Him in order to be a branch grafted into Him as the vine. But just being a grafted branch isn’t enough. If we don’t abide and obey we cannot remain grafted to the Vine. The words of Paul and James are just more plainly stating what Jesus stated allegorically. In Matthew 7 Jesus clearly states that those professing truth will be recognized by their fruit. So it is our faith is what connects us to the source of our salvation AND works (abiding and obeying) is whats keeps us there. Thank you Lord Jesus!

I really did not know how to live the christian life. Because they are so much instructions, but through the word has helped me to start trusting in God which means not sorry about it but just handing it over to him through short prayers that u can pray in your mind

When Chris gave his story about traveling 15 miles in traffic to see a girl, it was the destination that made his ride enjoyable. I didn’t see my life as enjoyable because of life’s frustrations. Those frustrations along the way, will make me stronger and the journey will become more enjoyable by focusing on the end result as seeing and being with Jesus. I need to remember it’s always about Jesus.

I started with Through The Word more than a few years ago and it has definitely enriched my life by increasing my time in and understanding of the Bible. Currently, I am reading the one year Bible and I listen to each daily reading in The Through The Word app so I’m not just reading the Bible I hear it and get a 10 minute Bible teaching for each chapter. It’s an amazing journey and I don’t want it to end. I’m constantly learning new things. Through The Word is truly a God send! Praise the Lord!

I have been doing these plans for over two years now. They have helped me to be consistent in my reading of the word. I'm excited to share that I discovered this amazing resource, thanks to Pastor Kris on the YouVersion app in January 2024. Through the Word has been an absolute game-changer for me as an Adult Bible Study teacher, especially since I do not have formal Theology training. One lesson that really touched my heart was on Psalm 22, where I learned about David's powerful encounter that foreshadowed Jesus' crucifixion. Pastor Sandy shared some incredible details about the medical condition of crucifixion, describing it as a cruel, painful, and slow death. It left me with a deep sense of repentance and made me truly understand the magnitude of Jesus' sacrifice. According to Pastor Sandy, ‘Jesus died of a broken heart.’ What I love most about Through the Word is how easily the material can be absorbed. It's such a tremendous resource that has enriched my understanding of the Old Testament. Studying the Old Testament can be quite daunting, but with the guidance of Pastor Kris and my newfound friends, it has become an enjoyable and enlightening experience. I'm grateful to have found Through the Word and to be able to share its teachings with my Bible class. Hello fam, I listen to through the word everyday on my way to work, I love this app thank you for the effort you put on it. I don't have a story, but I want to share something with you. I am a Christian from the Middle East, from Syria to be specific. I wasn't a muslim and became Christian no! my parents, grand parents.... all Christians. Countries of the levant area (Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Palestine, Iraq, even Egypt) have a lot of Christians, actually maybe we are one of the first Christians. I live now in France, but my parents still live in Damascus, we have churches there too! Please don't forget us, pray for us! don't just pray for one side of the story! Thank you!

I grew closer to God, His LOVE and GRACE became more apparent to me. I understood His Sovereignty and Faithfulness, experiencing His transformative power in my life through Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. By the power of the Holy Spirit, I embraced God’s Love, Mercy and Grace. I found community among believers who encouraged me in my faith journey. In proclaiming the Gospel, I share the abundant life found in Jesus Christ, knowing that His LOVE conquers all.

This Plan of the Book of Psalms was very good and encouraging to me because it revealed the AWESOMENESS of GOD and yet HIS LOVING KINDNESS for us. It verifies that GOD is to be REVERED and TRUSTED . GREAT PLAN, THANK YOU

This is not the first time I have read Job, but the added teaching by Sandy Adams really opened my eyes on what Job was feeling! Thank you so much for the added depth to this book!
