IT IS Grate for people that are starting with the bible and want another opinion on what is going on in that situation. Being then able to dig deeper into the story that they are listening to. Thank you so much for making it possible for so many people to listen to the word of God. 🥰🥰

I’m so great full to Carrie for inviting me to join this Bible study group. This is the first of a kind (the book of Joshua) for me. I love how we each record our comments and share our interpretations and commentary daily at our own pace and time. This group in Birmingham, AL is helping me with my resolution to study God’s word. I just want to say praise Jesus I love him with all my heart and soul and am forever grateful for and to God. I’m trying to better understand the prophets and being able to put some chronological order to their books is really helping me understand the history of Israel and Judah. So grateful for knowing about when the prophets lived is really a blessing to me.

I'm doing a chronological study if the Bible. I just finished in Hosea. I have grown so much, in my relationship with the Lord, in my knowledge of the Bible. The teaching by Pastor Adams has given me, a 60 year old man, many blessings. I’ll mention only two here. 1. I have a new appreciation for Israel. Where once I struggled to understand the role of the Jews, I now have a greater understanding of their unique relationship before the Lord. 2. In matters of God’s plan, including prophecy, I now have a better understanding of where I am positioned in time, but also what my responsibility as a Christ-follower is. Most of all, I see very clearly how much God loves me despite my filth. God is great and greatly to be praised!!

I’d always tried to read the bible on my own but for a long time it felt like a chore. Discovering this app has truly transformed my bible study, I look forward to studying the bible thanks to how great it’s broken down and explained. Some days I go through so many chapters and I can’t seem to get enough. Beyond just studying the bible more, my spiritual life has grown in leaps and bounds because I better understand what the bible says and how God speaks to me through His word. I’ve just finished a life changing walk through the Psalms Book 1 devotional. As a songwriter I’ve been inspired time and again by their beautiful poetry and spiritual guidance, but I’ve never dug this deep into their background and the historical context of their placement. In doing so I’ve experienced a deeper understanding and richness. The joint effort of Kris, Peyton and Melanie brought an interesting diverse perspective. Over the next year I’ll be taking my thoughts and musings into the studio to record a new project called Psalmettes. Just finished Revelations and it has encouraged me to be even bolder in sharing the Gospel so that none (that I know) can say they didn't have the opportunity to receive Christ and share all that is given freely in The New Heaven and New Earth. To be healed and whole and be with Jesus. YAY JESUS.

Absolutely love this app. I have a few disagreements with some of the views but it is all pretty sound. The app has never given me technical issues either.

My daughter and I are doing this together. As a result we have many great discussions about each day. I am so thankful that a friend told me about through the word. Looking forward to journey 2. I have been telling everyone about TTW.

TTW has been of tremendous help in my spiritual journey. It has provided the necessary guide in the understanding of the Bible. The historical and contextual backgrounds with ample references from other passages of the Bible to various stories in the Bible has enriched my insight and understanding of the word of God. This has also made it easy for me to relate my present situation and past experiences with the truth in the word of God. In summary, TTW has made it easy for me to read, understand and put to practice the word of God.

TTW has given me much more clarity in understanding the word. Other versions of the Bible I feel I lost so much more of the message. There are still somethings I struggle with for sure. I am not totally there in understanding everything in the Bible as I am sure I am not the only one. I share this Bible app with people in my Church, even the Pastor. He had not heard of this app. The very next week he used it through a video is a prolog to the start of a new book. I love this app and so happy that someone pointed out to me, now I point it out to others to use and enjoy as I do. Thank you.

I just came across TTW and am just blown away. I suffer from dyslexia all my life so this really helps me in my walk. It brings clarity and understanding to God's words. I've been a church musician for many years but always felt like an imposter because my knowledge of the Bible was not as strong as it should be. With this I feel like I can really get the blessings God has for me. I can already see the results. Keep up the good work. If there is anything I can do please let me know.

Through the word has truly helped my connection with God and fully understanding God‘s words. I took a chance and joined a Bible study with a couple people I just know online… ended up in a large diverse group from all over the country reading and listening to the Word daily and sharing insights, perspectives and stories that are facilitated so well through this app. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs that extra push to get into the Word and be able to stick to it through bite-sized learning each day that leave you hungry for more.

Pastor Kris is gracious, his insight is powerful, and he brings me peace everyday when I listen in his audio. love the way pastor Kris summarizes the chapters. I’m a new believer and sometimes verses can be confusing and tough to comprehend, but when Pastor Kris summarizes, it gives me context about the verse that I might not of been thinking about. That’s the great thing for me, I may have thought the verse meant one thing but when I take a step back and understand the chapter key points that pastor Kris gives before read, I can better understand the underlying message within the verse I struggle with. I am a teacher and have the summers off. This summer I am volunteering at our local nursing home. My good friend just got a job there in the spring and realized that since Covid, there has been a lack in Bible studies, church services, communion, etc. at this facility. It was a sad realization. So she put me to work! I am going through the Big Picture plan with the residents, and it has been nothing short of a success. I listen to your app and create my lesson for them using you as my guide! Thank you for your assistance! I cannot express how beautifully it is working. We make a great team with God as our leader!

This journey through the book of Exodus was such a blessing! It really just reminded me of the glory and greatness of the God that we serve and his never ending patience with us. P. S. I had a giggle each time the sea cow was mentioned. In my native language our word for a hippo directly translates to "sea cow". So each time it was mentioned all I could think about was hippos.

Wow! I never realized how many famous Bible stories came from Genesis alone! This single book has been an eye opener and a mirror. I have seen my own life, played out on the pages. From Hagar and “ the God who sees me”, to Joseph’s brothers, and their struggle to believe in their forgiveness. Just wow! Thank you TTW!

This app has taken me from an infant in Christ to something much more. I am just finished with Chronicles and would have skimmed through it had Peyton not brought each chapter to life for me. I use TTW as my daily Bible reading and I love it!! There are days I can’t stop at one chapter because the way you describe the chapters, the characters, the settings & all the back stories makes it so easy to understand… you draw me in to want more!! Through the word has been amazing and really helped me get back into reading the word and just get a little bit more specific with the different chapters versus and familiarize myself with the thoughts behind the words. It has also been a great help with building my relationship with my dad and hearing his voice every day we don’t live in the same states so just being able to communicate that way And have things to talk about when we call each other things like that but just being able to our relationship. I’ve read the whole Bible in a year a few years ago and this has been great to actually analyze the word and not just read it because I think I missed a lot of parts. I mean, I read it all, but reading it in comprehending get her to three different things. This is a great study tool and I definitely love it and I recommend it to many people! Thank you keep doing what you’re doing. And thanks to all the pastors who are involved in these lessons because they are relevant and have great connections to the real world and , they just make it understandable.

My youngest daughter and I started doing studies together using the TTW app soon after you added the share together feature. It has been a very blessed journey to walk through various books and learn more about God, Christ, the different people in the Bible, and ourselves. I have just finished Chapter 2 of Acts and felt that I had to share the powerful impact I have felt whilst reading this chapter of the plan. I can relate to Peter, having felt so guilty about his past behaviour and how overwhelmed and unworthy he must have felt by the responsibility Jesus had placed on him. I can almost feel his nerves when he stands up to address the crowd. But Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, speaks so beautifully and eloquently that the people in the crowd were ‘cut to their core.’ In v.38 Peter explains to the crowd, when they look to the apostles for guidance, that they need to repent of their sins in Jesus’ name and be baptised, receiving the Holy Spirit. I found this is so incredibly moving. As someone who often feels overwhelmed and gets ‘imposter syndrome’ as a Christian, I came to realise that never did Jesus demand grand gestures or complex rituals. He never wanted or needed us to be perfect. But what he did ask of us was that we repent of our sins, love God and love one another. Never again will I tell myself I am not ‘good enough’ to be a Christian. Instead I will put my trust in God.

I've never really been good at bible studies I think this helps me with getting into the word and sharing it I've had several different books out of the Bible that I've done with through the word and it's helped me with accountability and getting closer to God two years ago my life changed when I decided to give my life to Christ I was broken addicted to drugs and homeless I now have been sober for 2 years plus I got my own apartment and a brand new relationship with my mom that I have not had for most of my life God have been so good to me his grace is so good to me I wonder if I even deserve it but anyway this is great for studying the Bible in a group form where you can't always come together you can take your time wherever You are and share your thoughts via through the word

Growing up in a Christian family I really thought I know the bible and understood but no I was wrong. The past years after I got married I started reading Christian book to boost me spiritual and not reading the bible, I could say I substituted books with the bible to help me grow and that didn’t help really understand God word.However with TTW I can now see that I was missing something in the book, reading God’s word for myself especially a whole chapter not just a quoted verse. Now I see that understanding a whole chapter matters to get where it all began, actually just quoting a verse without understanding what it means, why the words are said it dangerous. Thank you so much TTW family for helping me to actually grow and understand the bible.

I learned so much in this journey. There were things that I heard before, but didn’t understand them, and it was clarified and also things that I’ve never heard before. It’s definitely helping me to be closer to Jesus and to learn to live the way God would want me to live.

TTW has really amped up my relationship with Christ. I have a deep faith but haven't spent much time in the Bible outside of a few bible studies. This app has changed my life! I listen to it throughout the day and right before I go to sleep. It's really helped me understand more of who He is. I’ve been listening to Chris and his friends for about five years now. He has such a gift for teaching and a heart for the Lord. I really appreciate that he has continues to update content and expand the pool of talented pastors wiling to teach us. TTW has been and continues to be a real blessing in my life. My best friend and I listen to TTW every morning. We listen separately, and then discuss what we learned together. We both have really learned a lot from the various Journeys. I have personally grown much and hope to keep learning and getting closer to my Savior. I feel more confident in my Biblical facts, to be a better witness to others.

I thank God for your ministry. A lot of my friends and pastors love the 'through the Bible in a year' concept, but that just wasn't working for me. I think it's been a couple years now that I've started slowing down and taking it one chapter at a time and I am growing in leaps & bounds. I have been working my way through the OT and TTW has inspired such a passion for it! I can't get enough of God's word. Every morning I have "breakfast with Jesus" where I drink my tea, eat, & listen to TTW. Listening to a brief explanation of each chapter first is bringing The Word to life and Chris & all the other speakers feel like family. I talk about Breakfast with Jesus & the OT with anyone I can now. I've even inspired a friend or two to start their own Breakfast with Jesus. And next school year, I think I'll be teaching at a Christian school (if the Lord wills it), so I'll get to share the wealth even more! I've had some serious health problems over the last year and a half and God has used TTW to get me through anxiety, fear, self condemnation, loss of hope, and so many other dark times. Bible study doesn't have to be boring. I chanced on the app through an ad like any other but when I learned that all the features in the app were free to use without any interruptions, I decided to try it. It's been just 2 weeks but it has been an amazing experience. The audio discussion preceding each read provides a great introduction setting me up to understand the word better. The app is seamless to use and, it has everything I need to immerse myself in the Bible. The different reading plans provide flexible options and it is easy to track your progress. Other features like the group study are similarly terrific. TTW has enhanced my personal bible study and I always look forward to studying the word each day. I highly recommend TTW to anyone who wants an exciting bible study that fits into their routine no matter how busy. I have several translations of the Bible, but have always struggled to understand parts of it. This app explains it and does it well. I started with Genesis and found myself completing several chapters (instead of one) per day. This app makes reading the Bible interesting and fun. I am truly grateful for it!

Absolutely love love love this app! I don't think Ive ever written a review for an app but this one deserves one! It makes doing study plans and reading the Bible so much easier and less pressure. Not only does it guide but it also informs! I use it alongside my personal reading and i have realized that i WANT to read more of the Word because of this app but have never used it in place of it or have felt pressured to use the app. Pastor Chris has so much insight and i have yet to refute or question his knowledge. Love this app, Chris, the project behind it, and the Word!

I was listening to a political podcast whose audience is Christian conservatives. At one point they started talking about books of the Bible that had been kept from the world by the British royal family and the Vatican. Now, my first response was to roll my eyes. I don’t believe this is true. I actually feel like this is a trick to deceive people. However, it bothered me. The very next morning, I was walking my dog and praying. I specifically asked God to give me clarity and understanding about what I had heard. Literally , 30 minutes later on my way to work, I turned on Through The Word. I had been working my way through the New Testament so I picked up where I had left off the previous day. It just so happened to be Colossians 2 (B side)! My prayer was literally answered in a 30 minute time period. I was blown away. So, thank you for being an important part of my answered prayer :)

I have listen to several books now. I have enjoyed how the Pastors teaching. I really enjoy Sandy Adam teaching.

Chapter by chapter and verse by verse has been the clearest way to hear the stories of God's people; people with serious flaws, imperfections, and ones who made bad decisions just like me! The stories along with the behind the scenes teaching has made it so real to me that I feel very strongly connected to the characters we are reading about. No matter which plan I read, God speaks to me about how to better rely on Him for the different things I am facing at the very moment I need to hear it. Truly, going through the word has strengthened my faith and helped me have conversations with perspectives I did not see before! I give to TTW because my every day is positively affected by how you bring studies of God! Most recently, Genesis and the new Esther plan have blown my mind so when I finish them, I know I'm coming backI to hear them again! Thank you for the wonderful work you do at TTW!

Peyton Jones is a favorite. He’s enthusiastic and has great energy. I love his analogies and listen intently, learning much. Then, to God for wisdom!

I walk 4-5 miles each morning. I’m 63 and have been going to church since I was born and was saved at 11. A few years ago I started reading the Bible through every year. On my walks I listen to different chapters on through the word through the app. I love the commentary even though I have listened to it all for all about 3 years in a row. It helps me understand better and each time I pick up different things from the commentary and the Bible reading portion. I reccomend your app to my friends. Thank you.

I serve in full time ministry with 10-20 year-old men primarily. TTW has become a tremendously valuable resource when trying to convey the meaning and value of God’s Word as I communicate largely to young men that have no spiritual background. We are plowing new ground and TTW helps make that possible in 3 ongoing weekly Bible studies and multiple team devotions every week throughout the school year. My words fail me in being able to give adequate thanks as TTW blesses me so much as I seek to be a blessing to the young men in my community. Thank you!

It has brought our group tighter together and with JESUS! God’s Holy Word proves on every single page that it’s straight from the HOLY SPIRT!!! I've been a Christian for 45 years. I've read through the entire Bible many times and in many different versions. I've sat under a number of great teachers and taught many Bible studies myself. I've got to say I'm really enjoying going through the Journey studies. I'm currently in Journey 5. The background, insight and humor have me enjoying quiet times more than ever. I rave about Through the Word to everyone who will listen and we are currently going through Jonah in our Care Group. Thank you for making this app free to all. I was introduced to Through the Word in YouVersion. It was a study in a portion of Revelation. I went to TTW to go through the whole book and I am HOOKED for sure! It’s such a thorough opening of the Word, chapter by chapter, followed by the beautiful reading of that chapter by Max McLean. I have it on my headphones when I take a walk and sometimes listen to 3 chapters a day. Rich, deepening, insightful, faith-enriching. I have recommended it to many people.
