While going through a study in Amos, the author of the commentary posed a question…do we gloss over our sin or do we lament over it. In a season of reflection, the Spirit called me to this study. It has helped me process sin and know how to lament in a way that turns me back to God and realize he desires the confession, as well as the lamenting. Skip did an awesome job!

I have read the Bible several times, but I never really realized how much end time prophesy there was in Zechariah. TTW has helped open my eyes more to the prophets, they make so much more sense when you understand what was going on at the time of each book and who the audience was.

I can not get over the amount of times I have been elated or cried or jumped in pure happiness-since I’ve started this ap An absolutely wonderful app . my entire life, had trouble understanding parts of the Bible, however they break it down after each and every chapter. explanation really helps to make it easier to understand. For decades I have been trying to do a daily devotional. Nothing fit or felt natural. I was doing because I knew I should and I would do the plan but a 7 day plan could take months…. Because it just wasn’t connecting to what I needed… But now since I found through the word I haven’t missed a day. I find a quiet place to take it all in. I really like this app so far. I like that I can choose different ways to read/listen to the Bible. I like that I can choose the Bible reading first or last or first & last which is what I do. I listen & read along with the Bible passage first in NKJV, then NIV or whichever version the speaker uses, then last I read & listen to the Bible passage again in ESV. I miss some days bc I'm doing other plans too, but don't feel pressured to 'catch up' like in some. I just pick it back up & proceed.

I knew where my help was to come from but I was too weak to hold my eyes open to read the scriptures myself. Slowly but surely, God’s word awakened my dry bones and is bringing them back to life. I started using Through The Word 4 years ago. I really loved how they helped me understand the context of some of the scripture and helped me read through the not so exciting parts. After reading at least 4 chapters a day (with some gaps of when I got a bit sidetracked) I finally have finished reading the entire Bible yesterday!!! It made me so happy and at the last couple of days, I was so excited to reach that finish line from such a long race. But that was only 1 lap for me because I will be starting again tomorrow. Thank you Through The Word for helping me accomplish something that I've been wanting to do my entire life!

I have been a Christian all my life. Revelation always scared me. I would wonder if I was good enough, did I do enough, will I have the seal of God on me. Then as I did these studies my questions have been answered- I know where to look for verses that answers my concerns. When Eph 4:30 was pointed out I was so overjoyed and still am. I have the seal!!! Don’t know how I have missed that in reading the Bible. I guess it is all in God’s timing. I have so much relief and reassurance because of God’s words. I am so thankful Pastor Kris started this APP and I thank God for him and all of you who make it possible. TTW is an incredible tool to help keep me on track and focused. Life has so many distractions, and during my quiet time, I read the passage, write down my thoughts of what the Lord is revealing to me on my level of understanding. I then listen to the recordings to hear the perspective of the minister’s point of view. I often need the scriptures broken down to understand. I appreciate the explanations of the cultural influences for deeper understanding as well. I pray His word is absorbed in my heart and that I will have a revelation of who He is every time I open my Bible. TTW has been instrumental and is a wonderful reference when witnessing to others who will often say the Bible is difficult to understand. I love my Bible App- TTW!

Just complete the plan based on Daniel. Amazing! It is so clear, easy to understand. I really liked how Kris spent extra days on some chapters. That was so helpful and definitely increased my understanding of this book. It doesn't matter how many times I have read chapters/ verses of the Bible, I learn something new each time. 81 yrs old & have read the whole bible before, but this is the first time I really made the connections between the old & new testaments. The clear understanding of the old testaments predictions to the actual happenings in the new. Best way to do this is to get the explanation first then hear the Bible. Absolutely best bible study ever. Thank you. Took me just about a year doing about 20-30 mins while showering, dressing & making bed. Lost a big part of it during computer shut down, but super easy to pick back up. My son recommended it & now 3 of us have finished

The Holy Spirit has used TTW to effect a change in my spiritual life. I have been a believer for 55 years, but since establishing a Bible reading routine using TTW, my priorities have changed. God has given me a stronger desire to know Him better and walk in step with Him. I am currently on Journey 7. The organization of the journeys keeps things fresh and on an interesting trajectory. I love how convenient Through the Word is, and recording voice messages allows me to save time speaking my thoughts. I love the ability to start a plan with friends, even though none of my friends are Christian its a great way to open the floor with them. Quickly I realized I would love a way for the verse to highlight or show what verse is being spoken when listening to the audio. When reading along I lose track of what verse the audio is on and takes me about 2 minutes of scanning the chapter to find the part its reading. Other than that I really enjoy this app

I am doing the journeys and really like the structure of starting of an overview with various important chapters throughout the Bible and then going book by book, but I a themed order instead of chronological. The majority of the Psalms have been a closed book to me. I’ve tried several times to read it but it just didn’t make sense so I gave up. Wow!! Through the Word has brought this book alive for me. My wife and I are new grandparents, still working our jobs, and empty nesters. We started doing TTW together about a year ago. This summer she’s in a women’s Bible study thru our church, so I have been enjoying going thru Tedese Ross’ walk thru 1 & 2 Peter. The conclusion really struck me as to its relevance to this time of life : “I am stirring up your sincere mind by way of reminder” ; “in the last days scoffers will come” ; “the Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise … but is patient toward you” ; “what sort of people ought you to be in lives of godliness and holiness …”. Thank you for challenging me to this life of godliness and holiness - there’s plenty of work for me to do in that department!

This app is soo helpful in many ways. It helps me diver deeper into studying different Chapters by providing chapter audio and text and speaking to us an analytical view of the Chapter. They also just changed the Bible reading audio to a different voice that isn’t that familiar, boring, robotic man voice that is easy to fall asleep to. The new voice has emphasis on certain words and talks more live-like! Thank you all, Chris and the other creators/speakers for putting your hearts into creating a great app for us as siblings in Christ! I 100% recommend to anyone

I have been a Christian since 2009 and still have not read through the entire old testament. I stumbled upon TTW on the YouVersion Bible app and I decided to try their plan on the book of Genesis. This has led me on a wonderful journey of discovery of the OT! It has been amazing going through each book, word for word, with explanations and dialog on what is happening and the context around it. I already struggle to retain information with my ADD, so this app has been a God-sent. I have just finished 2 Samuel and it has been so very rewarding when I hear my Pastor preach on something from the OT, and I actually know the story and context of what he is talking about! I know that may sound trivial, but it has been huge for me! Thank you to all of you at TTW for putting together such a wonderful program and App that helps us discover God's Word more deeply.
