Nancy's coaching is transformative. With 12 years in the tech industry, including 8 at Big Tech (Amazon and META), I regret not finding her sooner. Her blend of empathy, practical frameworks, and mindset work equips you with the tools for mental resilience in facing professional challenges with courage and clarity. Nancy excels at reframing problem statements and fostering a multi-perspective mindset. Her deep understanding of product management, drawn from years in the field, uniquely positions her to guide professionals through the role’s complexities. In essence, Nancy is more than a coach; she's a strategic partner in professional growth. For those in tech seeking a coach with a profound understanding of product management, Nancy is the game-changer you need.

One session with Nancy is like starting the senior PM career marathon at the half-way mark; it’s accelerated my process to reach my goals. The mindset shift needed for a senior PM to excel is difficult but crucial to make meaningful progress towards future milestones. Nancy leads sessions with empathy and focuses actionable guidance. She allows you to dream big and shares frameworks on how to navigate crossroads along the way, collapsing the time between dreaming and achieving.

VP, Viewer Immersive Experiences & Delight @ Roku

Back in 2019, I first encountered Nancy while I was assembling Roku's Enterprise Engineering team. During my networking efforts to connect with like-minded professionals, I met with Nancy, who was then working as a product manager for a similar group at Facebook/Meta. Our two-hour conversation proved to be incredibly productive. Nancy showcased her product knowledge, professionalism and willingness to assist someone she had never met before. Her insights and guidance helped immensely in my efforts to successfully establish the organization. Although I attempted to hire her back then, it wasn't possible until 2022 when our paths crossed again, and I finally had the opportunity to bring her on board at Roku. Presently, I am excited to witness her new venture into coaching. I wholeheartedly encourage anyone to take advantage of her services, as I have done on multiple occasions.

AI PM, social impact agents
I'd be joining a team to build AI agents for social impact! Wooohooooooooo thanks once again - your content has helped me a lot! Especially the ones on  How to read a JD, and how to answer TMAY? Product Sense and Behavioural questions And you're absolutely right - I feel I've become a better PM because of the rigour in the interview prep. Thanks to you! And I know this is just a beginning - there's so much to learn, grow and contribute. Onwards and upwards!

I also wanted to share some updates and say thank you. In an interview this morning, I lacked direct Analytics experience, but I was upfront about that early on and pivoted to walk through my data platform experience that was still relevant to the role. By the end of the interview, the hiring manager told me he wants me to talk to the CPO next, he said he doesn't see gaps I can't work through, despite the experience gap. That moment happened because of what you taught me: how to actually read a JD for the problems a company is hiring someone to solve, not just the listed requirements. That's a skill I'd never paid real attention to before working with you, and it's already changing how I show up in interviews. I'm genuinely grateful for everything I've learned from you so far, and I hope to work together again in the future.

it must be all your coaching. cos i have interviewed on and off internally so many times in the past few years but i didn't get anything. i think it's subtle changes to things like how i respond to "tell me abt yourself" that made the difference and you helping with reading the JD and so i know what to say pre-emptively like "i work with go-to-market a lot"

Btw Nancy, I got 3 offers this week: Geico for a Principal AI PM role & Cresta AI for an AI agent PM role, and another AI PM offer from an enterprise SaaS company Workiva. Thanks to your coaching, I still constantly got similar positive feedback (e.g. strategic thinking, strong communicator etc). Your feedback is much more detailed and helpful. You must spend lots of time on it. Really appreciate it!

I could not wait till Monday to share that my CEO update went really well. I did not own any slide, but still came across as the leader orchestrating through my intentional POVs/insertions in each section and even the CEO asked me for my personal opinion towards the end of the call. I had multiple people reach out to tell me how the call was probably one of the best status updates run with the CEO. I am thrilled for next time and creating this impression. Even my VP called me and slow-clapped on how I played the "optics" on the call very well. Thank you again!!

Strongly recommend Nancy's advanced product sense framework for anyone struggling with direction setting (for prioritization) and coming up with creative solutions. I've personally used it in interviews and at work and have seen it really help demonstrate strategic thinking.

Completing Coach Nancy Chu's Product Thinking Masterclass [July cohort] has left me feeling immensely confident, fulfilled, and empowered. In the midst of a busy work schedule, finding the space to pause, approach problems systematically, analyze variables, and delve into the core of user problems can be challenging. However, the insights gained from "Product Thinking Masterclass: Elevate Product Sense For Your Long Term PM Success" not only enabled me to tackle diverse product thinking case studies effectively but also enriched my ability to approach problem-solving with a new depth of understanding. This program has equipped me with the tools to meticulously dissect intricate problems but also provided a framework for stepping back and shaping a holistic perspective on product challenges. As a seasoned product manager, this dual ability to navigate micro and macro levels of product thinking significantly enhances my approach to delivering effective solutions.

I have seen a lot of content in terms of Product. There a few aspects to it I realized: 🎳 Product Thinking : A problem-solving methodology for developing solutions for user problems 🎳 Product Sense :  The ability to understand a product's needs and what makes a product great 🎳 Product Mindset : A way of thinking that focuses on creating product solutions that provide real user value 🎳 Product Strategy : A plan that explains what a business wants to achieve with a product or feature 🎳 Story Telling : The art of creating the emotional connection, engaging in user empathy, explaining your why and bringing forward the solution in terms of the product you are building and the ability to build yourself up to: 🎰 Build the Product Muscle ⏱ Understand the way to think about solutions as Products 🛎 Interview for a PM Role It made me curious about Nancy Chu's Coaching Program on AllTakes (And I attended the version 1 of it) lnkd.in/gUw8VAuC A few things she is sharing as part of her course: 🔑 The PM Mindset 🔑 User Empathy 🔑 Solution Positioning 🔑 Mock Product Sense Interview  🔑 Office Hours & AMA and a couple of sessions with Diana Chen (Product Executive, Previously at ebay, Amazon and Lyft) and Minal Mehta ( CEO at Alltakes) who talked about their journey along the way A few things that I noticed that were different: 🔍 The Program evolves with the Coach Nancy Chu's interaction with her cohorts 🔍 The alumni are welcome to come back, unlearn, relearn and add value to themselves and to the future cohorts 🔍 The AMA sessions which focused more on the cohort and getting individual feedback on where they were at and where they wanted to go next 🔍 The size of the cohort was small and intuitively so to ensure engagement and participation A few of my takeaways that might be useful to you as well: 🐦 Spend most of your time in Problem Space(Define it, Understand what the Pros and Cons of it, Learn about your Unknowns) 🐦 You will make mistakes, most choices you make are going to be two-way (You can always roll them back or create solutions to alleviate the problems you come across on the way) 🐦 Think about Your Solution Space (What are you solving for, What is your maketplace, Why are you solving it now, What problems are you creating by solving this?) 🐦 How do you Quantify Success (What are your key goals, What would you want to accomplish as part of creating the results, Identifying the root of it, Understand the Criterion)

This is awesome! Nancy is one of the best. We worked together for many years and her guidance and expertise allowed me to prep our interviewers as well as potential candidates thoroughly before they interviewed at Meta. My candidates always felt well prepared for their interviews and enjoyed the process overall. Highly recommend attending this masterclass from someone who knows what it takes to ace PM interviews and has proven success as a PM tech leader. :)

You've always been a key person to loop in any time we had interview signal training or development at Meta. Your experience, guidance, wit, grace, (and humor!) will be invaluable to future interviewers for any Product role. Wishing you all the best with this endeavor.
