J’ai eu l’opportunité de faire appel aux services de Marie dans le cadre d’un différend avec mon employeur basé à Bangalore en Inde, concernant l’application du régime de retraite étranger. Malgré mes demandes répétées, debut septembre 2024, mon entreprise refusait de régulariser les paiements manquants depuis mon embauche en janvier 2023. Grâce à l’expertise et au soutien de Marie et son associé, j’ai pu mieux comprendre mes droits et les recours possibles. Leur accompagnement stratégique et leurs conseils avisés ont été déterminants pour structurer mon argumentation et faire valoir ma demande auprès de mon employeur. Le préjudice s'élevait à une moyenne de 100€/mois de versement qui manquait depuis le début de mon contrat local. Son approche rigoureuse et sa connaissance approfondie des réglementations en vigueur ont permis d’aboutir à une issue favorable. Malgré le fait qu'elle fut basée en France, elle a su se montrer disponible et réactive face à mes inquiétudes.

Could you briefly introduce yourself ? 

I'm Brian Mather, Director of Action BI Ltd, a UK data and analytics solutions company working mainly in regulated industry on the Microsoft stack. 

What challenge or business objective led you to contact Marie ? 

We wanted to employ a key person in France — our first — and as a small UK company we had no idea of the right route : employer-of-record, non-resident payroll, or our own French entity. Every option had cost, compliance and tax implications we weren't equipped to judge, including whether our hire could benefit from France's impatriation regime. We needed someone independent, on the French side, to design the approach with us. 

How did Marie support you throughout the project ? 

The engagement ran well over a year and evolved with us. She started by comparing the employment routes and shortlisting specialist providers — scoring them on price, responsiveness and the quality of things like healthcare cover — and modelled the full compensation picture : gross-to-net under French social charges and the impatriation regime scenarios. She then supported the provider selection and challenged their proposals line by line. When the analysis pointed to establishing our own French subsidiary instead, she guided that too: identified a registered-office provider at roughly a tenth of the quoted cost, walked the domiciliation registration through with me personally on a call until it was signed. Throughout, she was quick, direct, and always clear about what she knew first-hand versus what needed a qualified adviser. 

What concrete value did her support bring to your organisation ? 

Confidence in a structural decision we'll live with for years, made with genuinely independent advice rather than a vendor's recommendation alone. Concretely: several thousand euros a year in avoided fees — her fees repaid themselves within a couple of months — a compensation design that protects our employee's position under the impatriation regime, and real momentum. 

Would you recommend Forwards International HR? 

If yes, why? Without hesitation. Marie combines deep France-side practical knowledge with complete independence from the providers she assesses, and she optimises for what the client actually needs rather than what's easiest to sell. For a UK business employing in France — whatever route you end up taking — she's the difference between buying a package and making informed decisions.

Marie is a highly skilled and knowledgeable Manager/Advisor in the International Mobility domain. We benefited from her support as a part-time consultant for seven months in 2025, during the maternity leave of our Global IM leader. Marie quickly stepped into the role and, in a short period of time, was fully on top of the agenda: leading the team and processes, driving key topics with stakeholders, and ensuring that the services we provide to the business remained compliant, value-adding, and timely. We are very satisfied with her contributions and achievements throughout her mission with us. Among her key accomplishments were the review of IM Strategy & Policies, the set-up of new host countries (Qatar and South Africa), and the definition of our approach following changes to US immigration law. I had the great opportunity to work with Marie during my first experience in Global Mobility within Atos. She was in charge of the training during my Internship and gladly continued to share her knowledge afterwards. We wanted to second one of our Personal Care lab managers to South African region: the best candidate was our French lab manager and when we consulted some external HR the only answer was negative without much explanation.
