Weintek Love in the Wild

The Weintek HMI/Scada units are awesome. The Weintek units out of the box out perform and out "Feature" all others. The EBPro software is free. SQL, OPC-UA, MQTT are built in with Internal scripting, and JavaScript. The HMIs can be linked to each other to allow updates as well as programmatic recipe/SQL/DB updates across all units on the network. Plus Weintek has moved on from the 1980's graphic images everyone else is using. There is much, much, more. Give them a try you will be happy you did.

I really like Weintek's products, cost benefit, high technology and secrets that I have unraveled that not even the tutorials explain that it is possible. CMT Line: Remote Access, Web Page, with native MQTT talking directly to AWS, AZURE, serves as supervisory. G01 this gateway is fantastic: it serves for any integrated modbus server PLC, native MQTT and OPC UA with 15 thousand tags without licensing, very easy integration with SCADA, talks with SQL server database, and My SQL, and the best thing is that it creates the tables without you having to configure anything, just the communication, it can simulate OFF LINE that EBPRO simulates as a physical hmi interface. FHDX 820: serves as mini SCADA without the use of an industrial PC, perhaps the only difference is that it does not have a Java script, but it has a macro that solves a lot, animations, alarms, events, recipes, it even triggers the PLC of different machines and without paying a license. EASYACCESS 2.0: remote access works miracles, it is possible to access the entire network and not just the HMI in question, firewall does not exist for it. WEINCLOUD.NET: Low-cost web SCADA creation per tag And the possibility of the entire CMT line becoming PLC codesys by activating license, very low cost.

Our production line wants to create an awareness dashboard with modern web technology. We want to extract data logs via Weintek, as our current system uses Siemens PLCs and HMI. The old vendor used Siemens environment tools like WinCC and TIA Portal to create a dashboard, but we can't afford to purchase a license. So we've decided to extend our topology using Weintek instead.

I’m grateful to have been part of the development process of Bank Indonesia’s data center. I had the opportunity to work as a system programmer on the chiller leakage line, where I integrated 253 leakage sensors from ICPDAS using the Modbus RTU protocol and programmed them with Weintek HMI as the alert and logging system. This was a significant opportunity for me to contribute as an engineer involved in the project.

Presentation of a project that covers the entire technology stack, from the physical sensor to the analytics dashboard. The goal is to transform raw data into a powerful tool for comparing and optimizing production processes. Solution architecture: 1️⃣ Robust Data Acquisition (PLC): A PLC cyclically samples over 100 process variables. To handle lossless communication to the database, FIFO logic has been implemented that buffers samples. 2️⃣ Secure Communication (HMI): A Weintek HMI acts as a gateway and communicates with the PLC through a "handshake" mechanism: the HMI writes data to the MySQL database, waits for confirmation of writing, and only then does the PLC send the next data. This ensures zero data loss. 3️⃣ Backend (PHP/MySQL): A PHP script connects to the database to extract the required data efficiently. 4️⃣ Frontend and Data Visualization (JavaScript/Chart.js): The heart of the project is a web dashboard developed for: - Select up to 3 datasets from completely different time periods. - Overlay the graphs to visually compare the progress of the processes. - Calculate key statistics (maximum, minimum, mean, and standard deviation) in real-time to measure process stability. - Set visual alarm thresholds to immediately identify anomalies. This tool transforms historical data into immediate insights, allowing you to answer questions such as: "Was yesterday's processing more stable than last week's?"

🔹 Engineering the Nitrogen Skid Unit – Power Meets Intelligence One of the most exciting projects I’ve worked on at HydroSERV was the Skid Nitrogen Pumping Unit – a system that combines mechanical power, safety, and smart automation in one compact design. These units are capable of delivering nitrogen at pressures up to 10,000 PSI and flow rates up to 180,000 SCFH, and they are essential in: ✅ Well servicing & intervention ✅ Pipeline & valve pressure testing ✅ Purging & blanketing to prevent oxygen/moisture ✅ Drying operations for tanks & pipelines ✅ Inerting in refineries & chemical plants ⚙️ Key Components of the Unit: High-Pressure Pump – delivers nitrogen reliably at extreme pressures. Vaporizer System – converts liquid nitrogen into usable gas. Detroit Diesel Engine – the driving power of the unit. Storage & Piping System – safe distribution and flow handling. Skid Frame – a compact, mobile structure I designed in SolidWorks to house and protect all equipment. 🔧 My Contribution – Where Mechatronics Comes Alive: Mechanical Design: Created the Skid Frame and drafted precision components like the IN-2 Plunger Clamp, ensuring manufacturability and accuracy. Automation & Control: Installed and wired pressure, flow, and temperature sensors directly to the PLC. Built a jack (junction) box to organize and simplify the control circuit. Integrated a DC–DC power converter, terminal blocks, fuses, and relays for safe and stable operation. Connected the Detroit Diesel engine control panel with the automation system. Programmed a Weintek HMI, giving operators an easy interface for: Live monitoring of pressure, flow, and temperature Alarms and safety interlocks Calibration and data logging

Excited to share the details of a recent project I worked on! Designed and implemented a complete monitoring and control system. Here’s what we accomplished: - Used sensors for temperature, humidity, and differential pressure in each tank. - Two valves for each tank —one for gas purging and the other for exhaust. - Designed a pressure-controlled system where the upper and lower pressure limits (set via a Weintek HMI) controlled the system operations. - Added user-defined upper and lower limits for temperature, pressure, and humidity, with alarms for all these parameters. - Configured digital feedback for valve statuses (open, closed, or intermediate), displayed on the HMI system monitor for real-time tracking. - Implemented datalogging to record valve operations (open/close) and high/low alarms for pressure, temperature, and humidity. -Developed real-time graphs for pressure, temperature, and humidity on the HMI to monitor trends and system behavior visually. - Also added feature for remote monitoring and control using Easy access 2.0. This project was an incredible experience, combining automation, real-time monitoring, and data management into a robust and user-friendly system!

I designed and implemented a straightforward yet highly effective Live Cloud Monitoring System for my organization. Leveraging the CMT Series of Weintek HMI, with the Easy Access function activated, I established seamless remote access to our Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) for monitoring and troubleshooting, eliminating the necessity for additional VPN and server configurations. Furthermore, I utilized the Weincloud Dashboard to incorporate 20 PLC Tags into a Web-Based HMI, as depicted below. Finally, I authored a PHP script to seamlessly embed the Weincloud HMI within our private domain. In Malaysia, the adoption of IoT tools remains relatively limited compared to their widespread utilization in Western industrial contexts. However, I firmly believe that these tools exhibit considerable stability and prevalence in Western industries. It behooves us to embrace this technology and venture beyond conventional frameworks rather than expending resources on foundational development. By doing so, we can expedite our development processes and mitigate operational downtime. Is there any harm in exploring new avenues? 😉

I have had good luck with the newer ones. The first gen 3090 maybe had a issue with the Ethernet dhcp, but the newer ones and the svr 200 series have worked well. I'm about to deploy 20 of the newer svr units to act as data aggregators and iot gateways
