The Weintek HMI/Scada units are awesome. The Weintek units out of the box out perform and out "Feature" all others. The EBPro software is free. SQL, OPC-UA, MQTT are built in with Internal scripting, and JavaScript. The HMIs can be linked to each other to allow updates as well as programmatic recipe/SQL/DB updates across all units on the network. Plus Weintek has moved on from the 1980's graphic images everyone else is using. There is much, much, more. Give them a try you will be happy you did.

I have already used several Weintek product lines, including EMT, MT, and cMT, specifically MT8072iP, cMT-2078X, FHDX-820 with CODESYS, and the cMT-G01. Weintek provides a large amount of well-structured online tutorials, a fast learning curve, excellent cost-benefit, free software, and high technology. What stands out the most, overall, is the huge number of available drivers and the architectural flexibility of the platform. The cMT line can act as a server for the MT line, remote access through EasyAccess 2.0 works very well, and the cMT-G01 operating as an OPC UA server (15,000 free certified nodes) is impressive. In addition, having native MQTT, direct integration with AWS IoT Core and Microsoft Azure, Modbus server functionality, and features like cMT Viewer puts many external tools aside — it even replaces solutions where Node-RED is often used. Because of the wide range of drivers and features, Weintek solutions are suitable for almost any application scenario. As a suggestion for improvement: It would be very useful if the MAC address of the Ethernet port on the MT series were explicitly visible on the HMI system. Currently, when the navigation button is hidden, retrieving this information can become unnecessarily difficult.

G01 this gateway is fantastic: it serves for any integrated modbus server PLC, native MQTT and OPC UA with 15 thousand tags without licensing, very easy integration with SCADA, talks with SQL server database, and My SQL, and the best thing is that it creates the tables without you having to configure anything, just the communication, it can simulate OFF LINE that EBPRO simulates as a physical hmi interface. FHDX 820: serves as mini SCADA without the use of an industrial PC, perhaps the only difference is that it does not have a Java script, but it has a macro that solves a lot, animations, alarms, events, recipes, it even triggers the PLC of different machines and without paying a license. For these projects, I've selected Weintek HMIs - I'm working in EasyBuilder Pro, and it seems like it'll be more than capable for my needs. Someone in this sub suggested them, and I'm liking the software more than the one for the CMore HMIs (and some other brand I've forgotten at the moment). So that part is set. 2 projects - OEM machine that controls some smaller pumps via relays and digital inputs, and monitors tank volume via a 4-20mA pressure sensor. In-house manufacturing line that will pump chemicals and use IO-Link flowmeters from IFM and likely some 4-20mA level sensors, and trigger some output relays.

Automation doesn't always need to be so expensive. I use and know the expensive brands often, and always will, but there is a need for what I've been developing. Here's my first demo video of the control library in action. Conveyor demo will be next. Follow JD Controls LLC, it'll be done hopefully next week. This is a mock up of a very simple batch control system. Adds 2 ingredients per recipe to a batch tank. Ingredients are totalized from flow. Transfers out to a filler. The intent is to demo the controls library, not to design an elaborate process. I'm a controls engineer, not a process engineer. Using a Weintek HMI and CODESYS North America, both with free software downloads, I created a library of PLC code and HMI templates/popups that includes many features I like from PlantPAx as well as other projects I've worked on over the years. Features include: •State Machine control using S88 standard •ISA101 - High Performance HMI color scale and design theory •Equipment Module sequencer control •Creation of "parameterized popups" as seen in higher priced HMI software - This took a lot of Codesys programming creativity •Permissive and Interlock objects for each controlled device - Forgot to show those popups in this demo video, oops! •Easily scalable for adding features/controls per customer request I'm taking the more affordable solutions and putting in the effort to make them look and feel like the higher priced solutions.

One of my favorite HMI design projects was the graphical interface for a palletizer machine. Although I didn’t have enough time to refine every detail as I wanted, it still remains one of my favorite designs — a balance between simplicity, usability, and visual appeal. It was also a great experience working with Weintek HMIs, and despite the tight schedule, I truly enjoyed the design and testing process. I’m also really glad to have collaborated with Tayebe khani , the project supervisor — her guidance and support played a big role in moving the project forward. For me, HMI design isn’t just about arranging buttons; it’s about creating an experience that feels right for the operator.

This is continuation of my "PlantPAx Lite" (I do need a better name for it) controls library using CODESYS North America and Weintek Easy Builder Pro HMI software. I'm developing a library very similar in look, feel, and functionality to PlantPAx, but much lighter - just covering the basics and easily scalable if the customer needs. OEMs, skid/machine builders, manufacturers - this is a very cost effective solution to your automation needs. No software contracts, more affordable hardware, and this solution is built to be programmed and deployed quickly.

🚀 Automation Project – HMI Translation & Enhancement This month I had the opportunity to participate in a very interesting project related to the modification of the different HMIs of an entertainment system production line at HONDA. 🔧 Project Description: The work consisted of translating the Weintek brand HMIs into the EasyBuilder Pro software, moving from Chinese-English to Spanish. The main objective was to facilitate the understanding of the concepts shown in the HMI, so that operators and technicians have clarity about what they are pressing and how these actions impact the process. ✨ Results: More intuitive and operator-friendly 👨 🏭 interface Reduction in fault ⚡ diagnosis times Better communication between the system and plant personnel 📚 What this project left me: It was a very enriching experience that allowed me to strengthen my skills in PLC and HMI programming, as well as to continue learning about the integration of automated systems. 🙏 I thank the maintenance team for the support in the implementation. 💬 If anyone else works with EasyBuilder Pro or Mitsubishi PLC, I would love to exchange experiences.

I’ve had very good experiences with Weintek, must just be what you’re used to. From the budget HMI perspective I (personally) have yet to use something better. Their software is really robust and easy to use, multiple times a week they push updates to it fixing bugs and adding new features, I’ve never experienced support like that from Mitsubishi or Rockwell.

Their software is really robust and easy to use, multiple times a week they push updates to it fixing bugs and adding new features, I’ve never experienced support like that from Mitsubishi or Rockwell.

cMT3092x: I have been eyeing this model since this summer(it is a newer model and from the videos online it looks really good), but haven't gotten a project yet that needs it. Right now I'm using a Weintek MT8050iE with a CLICK PLC and I'm thoroughly impressed. Given the price you pay and the options you have, I think it is leagues ahead of the competition. With that being said, the HMI programming software Easybuilder Pro has a little bit of a learning curve. If you spend a little bit of time watching a couple of Youtube videos you should be up and going in no time.

I use a lot of Weintek HMIs. They can like the automation direct C communicate with almost anything. They are relatively inexpensive and come with a lot of features. There are some quality of life stuff lacking in setting them up but generally they are quite excellent. For a facless one they start at 120 GBP and a 15" one will run you about 1,000-1,100. They communicate with just about anything so I have been using them to communicate with GE products, modbus (TCP & RTS RS485), Allen Bradley & ASCII over TCP. The HMI programming software is free so you can download it and set up an HMI, run a simulation on your PC and see if you like it. They have a lot of YouTube videos on how to set everything up. Allen Bradley products generally communicate using Ethernet/IP protocols and not Modbus. We also use a lot of FactoryTalk products but generally you get about 1/4 as much and have limited functionality. If all you want to do is communicate with AB than it's a good option. Programming them between multiple is a pain as the files are stored on your computer and challenging to transfer so you need to create a backup and transfer it that way..

Used their cMTx series several times with AB PLCs and have never had any issues. I actually prefer them over AB HMIs. They have a lot of functionality and are pretty easy to set up. Just export your tags from Studio 5000 and import them as a csv into EasyBuilder Pro.

We're an OEM and use Maple Systems which are rebranded Weintek. We were using Delta and before that Red Lion and while the others have better built-in features you can do a lot more with the Weintek in EBPro

I am a HUGE proponent of Weintek and EBPro. The software is far better than any AB's HMI software, and the capability is far better than any of AB's capabilities. Also, I'll roll in my minimum amount of knowledge with Unitronics.

In addition to the hardware cost being very competitive, the software is free to download, free to use, and tech support is free. No extra costs for your controls techs to view/troubleshoot code. I started working with Weintek a very long time ago (EasyBuilder 8000, when it was just becoming relevant). Back then, I mainly worked on Siemens, Omron, and Pro-face HMIs. Since then, I've witnessed many changes in the HMI and SCADA field, and Weintek continues to impress with its innovations. I've seen European companies increasingly adopting Weintek right before my eyes. The learning curve is very low initially, but as a specialist grows, Weintek keeps offering more and more advanced capabilities. I truly hope this trend continues!

I'm keeping it all very basic for now but the way this is being developed leaves it easy to scale up for adding more features for device control. With Codesys and Easy Builder Pro both being a free software download, no worrying about expensive software contracts to troubleshoot code or make modifications. These HMIs can run Codesys, so there's no need for an extra piece of hardware as a PLC. Proud to share my recent project, developed for a Weintek HMI screen using EasyBuilder software, during my internship at Atlas Engineering Ltd. 🚀 As part of my time at the DID Plant—where high-precision motorcycle chain components are manufactured—I designed and implemented a Human-Machine Interface (HMI) system to streamline production data handling and performance monitoring. 🔹 Project Goal To simplify daily production data entry, automate dispatch and target tracking, and provide real-time performance insights through an interactive dashboard—helping operators and supervisors make faster, data-driven decisions. 🔹 System Overview The HMI was built with three main interfaces: 1️⃣ Home Page – Company branding with real-time clock 2️⃣ Daily Production Table – Manual input for part-wise data (Inner Plate, Outer Plate, Pin, Bush, Roller), categorized by product models (CD-70, CG-125, CAM 25) and departments (OEM/SPD) 3️⃣ Production Dashboard – Visuals and records including: Monthly target vs achieved Daily dispatch summary Yearly log (Jan–Dec) Pie charts for progress visualization Functional controls for refresh, calculations, and logging 🔹 Automation via Macros ✅ Auto-calculation of total dispatch ✅ Target progress tracking ✅ Dynamic pie chart updates ✅ Monthly-to-yearly data logging 🔹 Key Impact This system enhanced operator efficiency, ensured accurate production records, and introduced real-time visibility into daily operations—bridging the gap between raw data and actionable insights. This hands-on project allowed me to apply my skills in EasyBuilder, macro programming, and industrial automation to solve practical production challenges on a Weintek-based interface.

DEIF now offers more sophisticated control systems with features like remote monitoring, integration with renewable energy sources, and enhanced efficiency. Similarly, WEINTEK's touch screens have advanced, with models like the #cMT X Series providing superior processing power, cloud connectivity, and support for a wide range of PLC protocols. ✔️Moreover, the integration of AI in generator monitoring systems has become more prevalent, enabling predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and optimized performance. These advancements make it easier to manage and maintain generator systems, reducing downtime and improving overall efficiency. ✔️While my 2015 guide provides a solid foundation, today's systems offer even more capabilities, making them indispensable for modern industrial applications. ✅ Current Situation with AI and Other Resources in 2025 🟢 DEIF Advancements: DEIF, a global supplier of power control solutions, has continued to innovate, reporting a 7% revenue growth in 2024 and investing in R&D for new products, including highly efficient and compact power converters. Internship Project Highlight: HMI Design on Weintek MT8071iP During my internship at Industry Innovative Engineers - IIEngineers (iiengineers.com), I had the valuable opportunity to work on designing a Human Machine Interface (HMI) using the Weintek MT8071iP device and EasyBuilder Pro software. As an engineering student passionate about automation and control systems, this project allowed me to explore how HMIs serve as the bridge between operators and industrial hardware. Although the project was not deployed in a live industrial process, it gave me hands-on experience in simulating and building a functional, responsive, and user-friendly interface. Key Skills and Concepts Gained: HMI Design Fundamentals: I learned how to create intuitive layouts, assign system tags, and build screen navigation structures within EasyBuilder Pro. Modbus Communication: I explored how to set up communication between the HMI and simulated PLCs using the Modbus protocol, and understood the role of address mapping. User Experience (UX) for Industry: Special focus was given to designing clear visuals and user workflows suitable for industrial environments. This project gave me a solid introduction to HMI development and deepened my understanding of how operator panels work in manufacturing and process industries.
