Weintek Love in the Wild
Proud to share my recent project at Riaz Industries Ltd, where I led the commissioning and synchronization of a PV Diesel plant. This complex project involved blending automation and energy management to optimize power generation from solar, generator, and grid sources. Key Achievements: - Installed Weintek HMI to control and synchronize 550kW solar inverters (Inverex 110kW x 5=550KW), 500kW generator, and grid with 149kW net metering load, ensuring seamless transitions. - Integrated energy analyzer for real-time data capture and display on HMI, enabling comprehensive monitoring and load management. - Successfully synchronized power inputs, maximizing efficiency across the PV diesel plant. Gratified to have advanced my programming and technical skills in industrial automation and energy management.

🔹 Engineering the Nitrogen Skid Unit – Power Meets Intelligence
One of the most exciting projects I’ve worked on at HydroSERV was the Skid Nitrogen Pumping Unit – a system that combines mechanical power, safety, and smart automation in one compact design.
These units are capable of delivering nitrogen at pressures up to 10,000 PSI and flow rates up to 180,000 SCFH, and they are essential in:
✅ Well servicing & intervention
✅ Pipeline & valve pressure testing
✅ Purging & blanketing to prevent oxygen/moisture
✅ Drying operations for tanks & pipelines
✅ Inerting in refineries & chemical plants
⚙️ Key Components of the Unit:
High-Pressure Pump – delivers nitrogen reliably at extreme pressures.
Vaporizer System – converts liquid nitrogen into usable gas.
Detroit Diesel Engine – the driving power of the unit.
Storage & Piping System – safe distribution and flow handling.
Skid Frame – a compact, mobile structure I designed in SolidWorks to house and protect all equipment.
🔧 My Contribution – Where Mechatronics Comes Alive:
Mechanical Design: Created the Skid Frame and drafted precision components like the IN-2 Plunger Clamp, ensuring manufacturability and accuracy.
Automation & Control:
Installed and wired pressure, flow, and temperature sensors directly to the PLC.
Built a jack (junction) box to organize and simplify the control circuit.
Integrated a DC–DC power converter, terminal blocks, fuses, and relays for safe and stable operation.
Connected the Detroit Diesel engine control panel with the automation system.
Programmed a Weintek HMI, giving operators an easy interface for:
Live monitoring of pressure, flow, and temperature
Alarms and safety interlocks
Calibration and data logging

Big thanks to Nikki Gonzales from Weintek USA, Inc. for stopping by our Atlanta HQ yesterday!
She brought in an awesome HMI demo 🖥️ and we got into some real tech talk — from controls ⚙️ and SCADA 🧠, to prototype battery backup ideas 🔋 we’ve got in development.
We gave her a tour of the facility we’re growing into 🏗️, shared some of the vision behind ELEKproTEK, and had some great conversation around innovation and bridging the gap between electrical and tech.
Even better — Nikki got to meet my amazing fiancé Simone 💍 who has helped ELEKproTEK Scale so quickly, our Service Manager Micheal who has jumped in and took charge, and our newest electrical apprentice Queen ⚡ — all helping power the future of ELEKproTEK.
The HMI she brought, it definitely sparked ideas for what might end up in our 1st-gen smart panel prototype.
This is how it starts: real connections, powerful conversations, and a shared commitment to the future.
Thanks again for stopping by, Nikki!
