A PROJECT I’M PROUD OF
A couple of years ago, I implemented an automation system for a sugar production facility — the chamber press filter station used for suspension filtration. During this project, I created a 3D model of the collector piping and actuator layout, developed the control algorithm from scratch on a VIPA 300s PLC, and fully built the interfaces for a Weintek HMI panel and a WinCC Professional SCADA system.
This was my first PLC, SCADA, and HMI project that I completed entirely on my own. The most rewarding part was seeing the 3D model come to life and watching the mechanisms operate exactly as I had defined in the logic.

The old vendor used Siemens environment tools like WinCC and TIA Portal to create a dashboard, but we can't afford to purchase a license. So we've decided to extend our topology using Weintek instead.

One of my favorite HMI design projects was the graphical interface for a palletizer machine.
Although I didn’t have enough time to refine every detail as I wanted, it still remains one of my favorite designs — a balance between simplicity, usability, and visual appeal.
It was also a great experience working with Weintek HMIs, and despite the tight schedule, I truly enjoyed the design and testing process.
I’m also really glad to have collaborated with Tayebe khani , the project supervisor — her guidance and support played a big role in moving the project forward.
For me, HMI design isn’t just about arranging buttons; it’s about creating an experience that feels right for the operator.

Designed, assembled and programmed in 10% of the originally quoted timeframe. Can't always knock them out this quick, but when the timing allows and the programs are straightforward, things move quick.

The system consists of a Fatek PLC, Weintek HMI interface and drivers for stepper motors, which operate the air intake flaps, allowing fine and efficient temperature control.
The work was carried out on a non-working day so as not to interrupt production.
Automating is also understanding when and how to intervene without slowing down the operation.
